Kim Possible was tired. She’d just barely stopped another Drakken attempt at taking over the world,(Boy, he was a bitter man)and now she had to go to school, and if that wasn’t bad enough, in health class yesterday, they were all given an egg to take care of, like a fake baby, so they could practice being ‘parents’. Everyone else had gotten paired up and somehow she had ended up with…BONNIE? She didn’t care whether she was paired with a girl, but did it have to be HER?!

Once she got off the bus, she sighed, and scrambled to find the brunette, and when she finally did, she caught her breath, and touched her shoulder.

“Hey Bonnie,” she said, in an unenthusiastic tone.

Kim gently took the egg out of the brunette’s hands. “ Don’t worry, I won’t, I promise I’ll keep it away from..everyone in my house, and plus he has a cute little pillow now.”

Her heart skipped a beat as she carefully held onto their egg child.

“I..I’ll see you soon?” She said, giving Bonnie a cute little wave.

Kim Possible was tired. Once she got off the bus, she sighed, and scrambled to find the brunette, and when she finally did, she caught her breath, and touched her shoulder.

“Hey Bonnie,” she said, in an unenthusiastic tone.

“Great!” What had just happened?  She was too excited to think, but..she was actually going on a date with Bonnie. Lots of thoughts entered her brian, but she was too focused and happy to deal with them, yet, in fact she’d almost left without something very important.

“Oh! I can take the egg back for now,” she offered, wanting to stay true to her schedule.

Bonnie gave a smile and said, “Just do not drop it, OK? Remember, it’s for our grade!” And she too couldn’t believe it...she was really doing this with Kim: having a very good conversation without any hint of sarcasm!

Kim was pretty surprised, herself, but as she witnessed, it had been worth it.  She felt so happy that Bonnie had said yes, and she ignored any confusion or questions that might have been going on her head for now, because she was happy in that moment.

“Yes!” She half whispered to herself, although she was very certain that Bonnie heard her.

“I mean, spankin! Uh..Saturday afternoon?” She asked smiling excitedly.

“Saturday sounds good!” Bonnie replied. She too was surprised what she was saying. This was her rival for goodness sakes that she was speaking to.

Kim could not fight the burning in her cheeks. She was glad that she could help, and she liked it when they worked together. Wait. She said yes. The redhead had not been expecting this, but it made her feel happy and excited.

Running her fingers through her medium red hair nervously, she continued.

“Did you maybe wanna get that soda..or whatevs..with me..somewhere? Like the mall…or somewhere else?”

Hey Bonnie! Sure do!“ Kim said, smiling, as she rummaged in her pocket and pulled out the satchel, opening it up at top and pulling a out an egg sized knitted pillow which was white and had tiny baby blue stitching all around the outside.

"Tada, my bad for the frequent lateness…maybe I could owe you a soda..or..something?” She had really felt bad for all of the waiting that she had made Bonnie do, even if it was Bonnie, but that last part had kind of slipped out. It had already been asked, however, and all that Kim could do now was wait for a response.

Bonnie looked at the pillow and sighed. She really hated to say this because Kim, after all, did a very nice thing for her.

“Yeah, I guess you can give me a soda, or whatevs...”

Kim got her materials together, and her mom sewed her a nice little pillow. Once that was done and Kim hugged her mom, she put the pillow in a little satchel, and into her pocket, ready to meet Bonnie back at the park. When she got there, of course, Bonnie was gone.

She figured that the brunette must have gone home, so she took a deep breath and ran to Bonnie’s.

Once there, she stopped for a moment to get some shade, before knocking on Bonnie’s door.

“Please and thank you!” She told the brunette before she left momentarily, flipping over a few park structures on her way out, before she began to running down the street and back to her home.

Once there, she looked around for thing that she could use. Luckily her mom was home, and she had some materials. She put them in a bag, and headed back, putting her hair in a ponytail, first. 

As she ran back, she thought about how long she had taken(it had taken a while before she could speak to her mom with the aTweebs launching things all over the kitchen)and how long Bonnie had been waiting.  She hoped it hadn’t been too long, though she suspected it might have been. At least she was on her way, now.

Bonnie returned to the Rockwaller house  with the egg. She had to put it in a safe place where neither her sisters (Connie or Lonnie) nor her little 11-year old brother (Johnnie) would touch it. The only place that she thought of was the desk in her bedroom. It had a small safe in it where she usually puts her diary. 

Remembering the combination, Bonnie opened up  the safe. She also put a small paper towel around it to cushion the egg. She carefully placed the egg in the safe and closed it.

Kim smiled, realizing that had had been staring at Bonnie way long enough to stroll into creepytown, shaking her head once the brunette spoke.

“Right,” she said, reaching over to gently pick up the egg, before a thought occurred to her; she did not trust Ron with the egg, and she didn’t trust the Tweebs even more. There was also the possibility of one of her parents accidently cooking it.

“Uhhh..sorry, would you mind watching just until I can get the materials? Too much havoc in the home.”

“Thanks, Bonnie,” she said, smiling and look into her eyes with her large green ones, “I would, too.”

“Well, that can’t be good,” she admitted, imagining Ron dropping their egg on the ground and breaking it.

“I…think we can do better…I hope.”

The redhead thought about this. Smarty-Mart wasn’t exactly her favorite place to go, but she still might have considered it if all else failed. Maybe there’s was cheap, or lumpy?

"Good to know.”

“Anyway, I’ll be as gentle as I can, I’ll make it a little…egg..bed..” Okay even to her that sounded weird.

“Oh um…I uh..she scratched her head before pulling out some paper and pen from seemingly nowhere.

"Okay, so maybe I could take the egg for the first few days of the week, after we’re done today, then you can take it for the next 3, and then on Sunday..we could..watch it together? Does that sound cool?”

“Oh, yeah, sorry, I went home real quick, I just wanted to freshen up,” she said, smiling nervously, especially since when she actually told Bonnie this out loud, it kind of sounded weird to her, like she was getting ready for a date, or something, whetev.

She sat down, and noticed the egg sitting near the brunette, looking pretty well taken care of, and out of the sun. Oh. It just occurred to her, since they were both here and in public, what were they gonna do now, just sit and watch the egg? Maybe they could both take turns sitting there and making sure nothing happened to it?

“Sooo…the egg is doing well.”

Bonnie took a look at the egg.Naturally, she didn’t like any more of this than Kim, but she had to do her part in order to get that sweet good grade from Barkin.

And something else. 

She slyly complimented, “You did pretty good...so far...Possible. Now how do you suggest we divide up the taking care of the egg?”

Kim had gone home, first, to ditch her bag, and have a quick shower, before she left to meet up with Bonnie at the park, which she was now headed to on foot, for now; she had finally passed Barkin’s driving test, but there was no car available for her to use at the moment, since both of her parents worked. She would be relieved when she could finally get her own.

She got to the park later than she wanted to, which tweaked her because she was usually pretty punctual, and when she wasn’t, it drove her nuts, plus, she did actually worry that Bonnie might have waited to long.

Once there, she looked around, until she spotted the brunette underneath the pavilion, looking bored, and annoyed, with the egg close to her. Taking a deep breath, she approached her.

“Hey B., my bad for the lateness.”

“So...K...you finally came.” the brunette replied slyly. “You were five minutes late.”

Kim didn’t seem to run into Bonnie at the end of the day, although even if they were working together, it was normal for Bonnie not to go out of her way to meet up with her. She shrugged, and nodded as Ron went on about how the teacher hated him, wanting to pay attention to her friend and take a break from whatever weirdness was going on in her head right now.

“Ron, I’m sure-” As she began, however, she was cut off by the Kimunicator going off. At first she thought if was Wade, but it came from the text function, the Kimunicator had so many uses, was there anything it couldn’t do?

“Wade?” Ron asked, “No, Kim said, as she opened the message. "It’s a text, from Bonnie.”

While Ron attempted to comprehend this, Kim stared at the text, it seemed normal, but it had some creepy undertones, something was not right. Still, it had been her idea to meet up, and she wanted a good grade…what if she didn’t show up? What would happen? Something told her not to, but she had to, right? She would look like a flake if she didn’t, and Bonnie could still find a way to get her into trouble.

It was 4:30pm.

Middleton Park.

Bonnie was playing around, scratching the unhooked buckle of her Club Banana overalls with her nails. She was waiting for Kim to show up. 

She had driven to the park with her mom’s old car, for she recently got her drivers license. And that was the good thing. The bad thing was it sometimes had mechanical problems.

So, she was waiting for Kim to arrive.

She had been keeping an eye on the egg, which she laid on the wooden table. Luckily for her, she was under a pavilion, which provided shade for the egg.

Kim told herself that worse things could have happened in the cafeteria, that at least Bonnie hadn’t made it any worse, but mostly, she just tried to forget about it as the day went on, which seemed to last several hours longer than a normal school day was supposed to, and Ron begging to know what was going on, and going on and on about it wasn’t helping. She didn’t mean to blow him off, she just..wasn’t sure herself, and wasn’t ready to talk about it. Why couldn’t he just accept, 'It’s nothing,’ and move on. “Ron it’s really fine,” she repeated, though when the final bell rang,  the nervous feeling crept back up inside her.

Bonnie felt confident herself that her plan was going to work against Kim.

She decided to send Kim a text from her cell phone. 

Remember, meet me at Middleton Park, 4:30pm. Come alone with the egg.
