god i’m still annoyed about the ~hot take~ i saw comparing robb and rhaegar like. their actions took place in very different contexts. rhaegar had a wife and two children. he ran off with a woman significantly younger than him and if we’re going by tv canon, his marriage to lyanna was on very flimsy legal ground.
robb was not even betrothed to a specific woman, just a frey woman to be chosen at a later time. he had no children, no wife, and yes, breaking a betrothal is bad, but not nearly as bad as leaving your wife and kids. jeyne/ talisa was of age with him, and the marriage, though a terrible idea politically, was not invalid. with jeyne, the marriage came about because robb owned up to his moment of weakness and rather than leave a girl possibly pregnant and “ruined” in the eyes of westerosi society, he did the honorable thing and married her. it was different with talisa, sure, and that was more of a conscious decision on robb’s part, but i can’t even try to analyze her when she doesn’t even make sense as a character.
yes, both robb and rhaegar made stupid decisions for love/ lust and people got hurt. but breaking a betrothal to an unnamed woman to marry someone for the purposes of “preserving her honor” is very different from leaving your wife and young kids to have an affair with your cousin’s betrothed.
day 12 with no quizilla… I still don’t know who my naruto boyfriend is… I think the end is near

okay but garrett wrapping himself around kate and letting her shock him so that she won’t get herself hurt is the most romantic thing that happened in the whole damn series he undergoes excruciating pain at her will just to save her from herself because he loves her so much this couple deserves more recognition there i said it
this is my favorite one.

Hercules (1997) // Mulan (1998)
my favourite ever literary trope is “you want me to be a villain? i’ll show you a villain” that shit gives me goosebumps and given the right context also turns me on
i hope all the horror blogs that keep reblogging this post know it was about regina george in the mean girls musical
