Yāall this is a great video to study to observe the body language of a very happy but also very excited cat.Ā Lots of people see videos of excited cats doing things like climb rock climbing walls or get on small boats and think they are angry or scared, when they arenāt.Ā Hereās a good example of happy excitement and tension in a cat where the catās pleasure is easy to see.Ā The catās tail is lashing and its ears are going backward and forward like crazy, but the cat is not angry, it is merely off its shits because snow is just incredible.Ā This is a wildly playful cat which mightĀ play-attack a hand or other animal because it is so excited, but not out of anger.Ā Note the zoomies at the end to burn off some of that energy!
Think about it. When we humans do something fun and very physical, our bodies are often tense, at the ready, and a lot of our body language does look kind of aggressive or even scared. Cats are the same!Ā Animals at play or investigating new things often show some tension, but tension is not the same as anger or fear!

THEY CUDDLING UNDER THE STAIRS:D
Self-defense? Heās 6 years old ffsā¦I canāt
More infuriating info:
The boy is autistic
The boy and his father were in a truck
The father stopped the vehicle and raised his arms to show he was unarmed
ONE OF THE ARRESTED OFFICERS WAS ACTIVELY STALKING THE FATHERāS FIANCE
They are trying to claim self defense AND claim they didnāt know there was a child in the truck
They fired āno less than 18 roundsā into the truck
The father was hit but still alive. The boy ended up being shot in the head multiple times.
There is bodycam footage of the incident and every official/lawyer that has seen and spoken on it has called it horrific.
50% of all police violence victims are autistic or mentally ill. If an autistic person starts screaming or canāt look a cop in the eyes, they use that as an excuse to shoot. I hope Black Lives Matter starts talking about that, too.
Police violence hurts the mentally ill a lot and of course that also means black autistic / mentally ill kids are getting hurt and killed. Ableism is deadly.
Brahms? Brahms. Lenz? Lenz.
Do you consider the shark from jaws a slasher?
āGood copsā
I need this to be watched by the masses.
This is the simplest explination ever and people still donāt wanna hear it.
ppl donāt understand adhd/autistic cleaning processes. we think so far ahead itās like,,, impossible to do shit. you want me to vaccuum my bedroom floor? okay. we need to pick up all the stuff thats on it first, though. and where are we going to put the stuff? well, theres a couple categories of Stuff- Clothes, Random Items, and Trash. Trash is easy, we just throw it away. Clothes have to be sorted into Clean, Not Clean- and then the not clean ones have to go in the laundry bag, but theres so many so i might have to start a load now- ugh, distracted. lets go back to the clean clothes. well, these go in my drawer but- my drawer is really disorganized, so iāll have to organize the clothes first so that theyll fit and look neat. by the time iām done with that, iāve spent an hour and a half trying to do stuff in my room. i finally turn to random items, most of which can find a home on my desk, but others i dont really know what to do with. plus, my desk is dirty. so i have to organize my desk, figure out where everything goes, and the stuff that doesnāt have a place can go in⦠a box, i guess. (not like i donāt have three other boxes full of random stuff in my closet)Ā so i put all the items back up but now i have this box full of stuff i dont know if i need so i have to go through it, sorting it into donate and dont donate piles. i might as well throw in some clothes to, so i dig through my clothes drawer and get the clothes i dont want, throw them in there too. okay, back to the random items- the ones i dont want to donate are still here, so i have to put them somewhere. i dont have anywhere to put them- maybe i should get a shelf? i start googling shelves, figuring out which ones would be best for my room, debating prices, learning about installation, and eventually im likeĀ āwell, already on my computerā and i decide im going toĀ ācheckā social media and end up lost in it for an hour or so. you walk back in, and theres stuff all over the floor, albeit in bags and boxes, and it still hasnt been vacuumed. its been five hours since i started. how does it take five hours to clean your room? it just does.Ā
I developed a cleaning system for my very very disabled brother when we were little that Iāve since found many relevant researches for how this kind of split and sorting of tasks works best for people with executive function problems, like ADHD and depression and even just general procrastinators full of anxiety.Ā
Steps to clean a room.Ā 1) remove dishes and food and NOTHING ELSE from the room you are cleaning. Put them in the sink or dishwasher. Always do rot first for illness/safety reasons (you may not be that gross but hey, if you forget it might get foul.)
2) get a garbage bag/can and go through the room. Anything garbage, chuck, anything else that is out of place (not where it belongs) put in a pile in the center of the room or area.Ā
3) Clean with cleaners/machines any foul or safety tasks. Wet puddles. Mildew. A stick ring from a soda can. A buildup of visible dust (allergens) under something.Ā
4) sort the pile of stuff into where it goes (bathroom, laundry, kitchen, bedroom, etc) and then take all of the stuff for one room in one trip.Ā
5) and last or holistic cleaning left over (vacuuming, mopping, surface disinfecting etc.)
tada!Ā The most important thing about this is that it sets a priority order to tasks, namely anything that if you forget for a while could damage your health a surroundings (a bowl of food) over something clutter but safe (your notebooks or laundry). So if depresso you almost never manages to get past step 2 but once a month, yes, your house is cluttered, but itās not actively harming you. And when you can get things done, it helps focus tasks and combine them so it doesnāt take ten years because you make a separate trip + distractions for every single pen you find in your home. If ADHD brain doesnāt remember what you were doing, thatās fine, itās visually obvious when you come back to it, very easy to pick up where you left off.Ā
Good luck, brain wranglers!
Iāve got cleaning/tidying problems, too, and at some point I bought a bunch of small IKEA Variera boxes. These boxes sit in every corner of my flat, and each time I put a small item down, it doesnāt go on a surface, it goes into a box. When I clean, the first step is to collect small items and clutter from the surfaces and place them into the nearest box. Periodically, I empty the box by just carrying it from room to room and return the clutter items to their appropriate places.
Thus I have eradicated clutter from my flat.
I just wished the magical Ikea boxes could help with the dishes, too.
