misa amane’s determination to devote herself to something just to make her life worth outliving its natural end - her unbreakable spine - her loveless relationship - the career she throws away - light yagami, the only thing that gives her any meaning - kiyomi taking that from her - misa’s canonical suicide - misa’s cavalier attitude towards her own life - taking the Eye deal twice - girl who only cracks when light is found dead outside the yellow box warehouse - girl that not even L could break - survived the murder of her parents - survived the stalker - survived L Lawliet - survived, survived, survived, Misa Amane who ends it all when her purpose in life is found dead in a ditch - Misa Amane never gets married. her greatest ambition in life was to become light yagami’s wife. she tells him that all she wants is to be useful to him but as a caveat he has to date her. she doesn’t believe in kira as much as she believes that light is her personal salvation. Misa Amane strongarms him into becoming her boyfriend and at some point during the timeskip, convinces herself that he loves her back. Misa Amane gives up the notebook. She gives up her memories. She gives up 75% of her lifespan. She dies amnesiac and falling, falling, falling, because in the end Misa Amane does not survive herself.

I keep accidentally posting Silent Hill stuff to this blog so I should say that if you’re a fan of Beyond Birthday you would probably really like Silent Hill 4. Whole thing revolves around exploring the inner psyche of a character who has a lot of parallels to BB is all I’m gonna say.
