the original manic pixie dream girl was not Ramona Flowers but was actually Fraulein Maria, you cannot change my mind
short hair
speaks her mind (gets in trouble)
speaks her mind (wait no it's attractive)
doesn't take anyone's shit (gets in trouble)
doesn't take anyone's shit (wait no it's attractive)
plays guitar, carries it everywhere
DIY as fuck
not graceful (but it's Julie Andrews so just not graceful *for her*)
pitted against another "conventially attractive" woman as a plot device
weird, quirky, progressive
this makes me so happy because i relate so much to maria but i feel like i havenât left the abbey yet and am surrounded by a bunch of nuns that undermine me (iykyk) i feel better knowing maria gets a beautiful relationship. makes me hopeful.
I want an imaginary life, just like the one I had before. I don't like reality anymore. Reality is lousy. â Ă stata la mano di Dio (The Hand of God), 2021.

do not keep your books clean. annotate, scribble, question. break the spine, weather the pages. books were written to be relished. they contain worlds for you to live in. live in them.Â

People that are like âclimate change is worsening and all of humanity is going to deserve itâ should realize how kind of evil and insane of a thing that is to say Like, no actually, the masses of people in the world that are impoverished, homeless, poor and working paycheck to paycheck to survive, plus the masses of indigenous folks, POC, queer and religious minorities trying to survive the trauma of generations of industrialization & colonization DONâT deserve to go extinct over the actions of a few dozen oil executives and an economic system we have no control over, especially when weâre doing all that we can for a safer healthier planet wtf
The lives of 7 billion humans do not deserve extinction over the actions of very few oil companies destroying the planet, donât say shit like that.
people donât look up at the sky enough. like look up UP at the sky, contorting their necks to see the vastness of existence and possibilities above them~~ i think we should just walk around like that. and if you bend your back, it makes the world look gigantic !
(i tried drawing what i mean on my notes app⊠looks horrifying but it gets the point across)
(flashing tw) watch velocipastor. just do it. it will change you forever.
watching âtoo hot to handleâ on netflix as a joke at first, but then becoming emotionally invested in the couplesâ and individualsâ growth AUTOMATICALLY makes you smoking hot
me , during my entire high school journey: canât wait to be a senior !!!!!
me, now a senior, going to graduate in a few days: *nervous laughter* hehe my bad ..... CUT THE CAMERAS
moral of the story: for real, enjoy every moment; the stupid ones where you get to joke around with your friends, to even going up and down the stairs to get to class, because youâre only in high school once (and youâll never walk those stairs again someday)

WHY DID NETFLIX CANADA REMOVE THE LAST FEW MINUTES OF THE 2005 PRIDE AND PREJUDICE ADAPTATION...AKA THE KISS SCENE ??? (idk if this happened for netflix users in the usa)
me rn
THANK YOU mr darcy for NOT kissing elizabeth after she refused your proposal and declared her hate for you. I DONT CARE WHAT PEOPLE SAY; his longing to do so but respect of her decision was PERFECT.
again; he respected her decision & did not make any moves on her, until he had confirmation that her feelings had changed by the end. *chef kiss*
The thing about Pride and Prejudice is that it's great, I've seen it 382393 times but the thing is it still isn't enough. I want to watch it again for the first time, I want to watch at least 2 more hours of it. Give me a 30 season long series and I will watch it. I want to see every scene from different perspectives. Give me a whole spin-off from Mary's eyes and I will watch it. Hell, give me a Mr Bennet spin-off and I'm there. I want a prequel and a sequel to the story.
It's not even just the regency period but the elizabeth/darcy dynamic is so interesting. In conclusion I will NEVER tire of this
when lydia leaves her family, married to wickham, in pride and prejudice, i canât help but feel such a sadness. she is of course bursting with enthusiasm, but who can blame her? sheâs 15, whoâs getting to be with her *hot* crush (who is now her husband) and sheâll get to live the nice life sheâd always dreamed of having. but i feel so sad watching her naivety as an outside observer, how she thinks everything will be perfect after that point. the audience knows wickham is not as great of a guy as we thought he was and this adds to my anxiety. how will their relationship dynamic play out? my hypothesis: after a few years, not super great. plus, wasnât he flirting with elizabeth earlier?? (but thatâs another story...)
AND the scene where theyâre all having dinner together at the bennetâs and elizabeth looks so depressed, while lydia is overjoyed, really stands out. elizabeth canât say anything against the marriage because if she does, their family will have a bad rep, since lydia had ran away with wickham earlier. lizzie KNOWS the imperfect fate that lies ahead for her sister and canât do anything about it. OUCH. i can just picture lydia growing up, becoming more mature and reflecting upon her choice. i know the story obviously takes place in the 19th century and marrying young wasnât uncommon, but the realization, this awakening, sheâll have after the butterflies and puppy love fades leaves my stomach feeling ill.
