just finished reading Crooked Kingdom and omg I love all the crows so much!! some aspects of the plot may have been a little confusing to read sometimes, but the characters made up for it ten fold. Iâm so excited to see all this unfold on the screen in the Netflix show!!Â
currently reading: Where the Crawdads Sing
next read: either King of Scars or Prison Healer
books that are always on my mind: Percy Jackson books & The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue
currently listening to: All Too Well TM
âThe sea does not like to be restrained.â
a percy jackson appreciation post <333
wooo hereâs another book-inspired post!! i finished Gods and Monsters (the third book in the Serpent and Dove trilogy) a few days ago and i loved it so muchh. minus one scene that was kind of awkward to read (iykyk) the plot and character development were so goodd!! not perfect but still a great read.
next read: no clue haha lately Iâve been book jumping a lotÂ
currently reading: Where the Crawdads Sing & Crying in H-Mart
listening to: my tears ricochet by Taylor Swift
these photos really showcase my deep desire to move away to a meadow somewhere, just imagine how peaceful it be to live in a cute little cottage in the middle of one of these meadows - just minus the bugs :)
no major updates in reading, but i did recently finish Loveboat Reunion, which was pretty good plot-wise, but the charactersâ thoughts and actions were kind of weird sometimes.Â
where i live itâs going to snow for the next two days, and although i do enjoy winter, Iâm really excited for all the flowers đ¸đˇ to start blooming!!
currently listening to: Born to Be Brave from HSMTMTS
this is an appreciation post for Pinterest, and of course, mountains <333
also, some of these photos remind me a lot of Yellowstone and Grand Teton, which are two of my favorite places on earth (and theyâre right next to each other!). if youâve never been, I implore you to visit!! itâs just such a tranquil place (other than the crowds near old faithful) and absolutely breathtaking
ooo also happy belated 150th birthday (it was yesterday lol) to Yellowstone!!Â
currently reading: Where the Crawdads Sing
currently listening to: Waiting on a Miracle (from Encanto)
one of my friends told me that I remind her of rococo art and when I looked it up, oh my gosh. literally the upmost flattery ahaha, itâs just such a perfect combo of cottage core and royalcore mixed with some light/dark academia, and these images make me so happy.Â
it was finally warm out today after a long period of cold and snowy days and it was so nice. the warm weather and the lengthening days are doing wonders for my mental health loll. the sun and the 60s temps just make everything feel so much lighter :D
currently: attempting to take notes on my book for my english class (I think reading is so much better when you donât have to write paragraphs on every single little thing but alas); also freaking out at the prospect of the future and going to college soon ahhh
listening to: willow by Taylor Swift; a dreamy cottagecore study playlist for fairies (merry go round of life from Howlâs Moving Castle)
currently reading: Where the Crawdads Sing (I get to read this for my English independent reading novel!!)
next read: no clue - maybe Gods and Monsters by Shelby MahurinÂ

I absolutely devoured this book; I literally could not put it down. not only was it such a unique book plot-wise, the character development and storyline were so spellbinding and engaging. the images of the âmidnight libraryâ reminded me of a mix of Mr. Lemoncelloâs library and the memory shelves from the movie Inside Out. The Midnight Library was a really thought-provoking read, filled with philosophical musings and so many moments that tugged at my heart-strings.
Iâm really excited to get to re-read this sometime, although I will have to get through my every-growing TBR :D
potential next reads: Where the Crawdads Sing, Youâve Reached Sam, or maybe the Scorch Trials
just finished reading Gilded by Marissa Meyer, and I loved it! it is definitely different, and surprisingly a lot darker, than some of her previous books; and although many didnât like it as much, I think it was a really good read. it may be a little slow plot-wise, but itâs a unique twist on the Rumpelstiltskin tale with a lot of story telling/fairy tale elements.Â
next read: The Midnight Library by Matt Heig (will maybe pick up Youâve Reached Sam again)
currently listening to: Crush Culture by Conan Gray
The House In The Cerulean Sea is such a heartwarming and endearing book. It reminds me a bit of a book I read as a child called Remarkable. Itâs a pretty easy read but the characters are simply so adorable and sweet.Â
Even though I was ready this in the dead of winter (it was snowing outside), This managed to transport me to the cerulean sea, to this cute little island in the midst of Linusâ previously gray world.
If youâre looking for a simple but sweet read, I highly recommend this, though be forewarned, it isnât the most complex or intricate read.Â
