Shunsui looked at the younger woman, he didn’t like her answer one bit. Shunsui walked over to her and put her hands on he shoulders. “You will be able to think better if you ate. My Sweet Nanao-chan~” he said in his sweet voice. No way he was going to let his lieutenant not eat. His eyes looked a little angry and he walked over around her desk and pulled her out of her seat.
“I don’t care how much you are going to yell and hit me for this, it’s time for you too eat, and take care of yourself over work. “He said softly and pulled her. He knew that this was the best choice but she was going to blame the work on him, and well that was fine. He was use to the hole being blame for being lazy anyway. He pushed her out of the room and nodded.
“You can trust me, now go eat, or I will get mad. “He stated. He knew she was like this, but he didn’t her out so he was going to work. Nagging and nagging wouldn’t cut it for him right now. He wanted to just her have a little break. Even if its doing some work right now. He’s drink it all off later anyway.
“What do you think you are do-” Suddenly she was being abruptly pulled out of her seat. She struggled to get out of her captains hold, but he held her with surprising strength “Sir, please release me...” She couldn't... No, now it wasn't the time to have thoughts like that. She needed to get a grip on herself, quickly.
She rolled out of his arms and straightened her uniform as she went. “Of course captain. I will go take a 30 minutes break and eat.” She adjusted her glasses and gestured to the pile of 'to be done' forms on his desk. “I expect atleast half of those to be completed when I come back, sir.”
At that she glanced at him over the rims of her glasses for the last time and exited the room swiftly, hoping she haven't just made an enormous mistake in believing him. But remembering the fact that he promised... She could consider the work to be done. That prompted yet another question. Why was he so helpful that day? Have he done something wrong? Overdid the budget with his sake? She certainly needed to look into it.

Taking her seat in a chair across from Nanao. Her eyes spot on the books in front of the two. “No…I did not mind.” A smile would spread across her lips as her head shook back and forth. “In fact, I am glad someone visited me. I…am sorry f I worried everyone.” Grabbing the bottom of the book with one finger, her eyes would shift up toward Nanao. “I do know most of these spells. However I want to learn more what I had slept through. My spells seem to have lack the knowledge that I once knew..” She had wondered if she really did need to study. Her knowledge of every spell was inside of her head. Once she was in battle—the spells came naturally to the brunette. Last battle she had with fraccion. She could only barely remember the scenes as a blur. It was quite painful to remember it all. The only part she did remember was being knocked down by a powerful force.
“Maybe sometime we could hang out again.” She flipped a page, her eyes scanned the text about a kido she used in battle. “I hope…that won’t be a bother.” Her schedule must be rough after hearing the news of Kyoraku changing so suddenly. She must be so stressed about changing her squad. Or.. Hinamori knew she be so surprised to have changed a different division so quickly after the death of the head captain. Everyone was depressed of the news. Even she… had cried of his death. Grabbing the page, her eyes would shift down toward the book. “How…is everything in your division? Are you and your Taichou alright?”
Bespectacled fukutaichou lit up at the other's words.She was glad that Hinamori was returning to her cheerful self, even after all that had happened. “I'm glad. Keeping you company was very pleasant, in fact I really looked forward to that.” There really was no denying that. Reading to asleep girl had a calming effect on her. And that was indeed something that was needed in times of war, as it was back then. “I thought so. What exactly would you like to revise?”
“To train? Oh, of course.” Nanao was sure that training was in order. She stopped doing that regularly not long after she became vice-captain of 8th...and that was hundred years ago. And training with another kido-expert? With a kido oriented sword? That would be lovely and she was really looking forward to it, something that didn't happen for a while now. “Yes, yes... I'm just getting used to new tasks and coordinating division with someone else.....” When captain Kyouraku got a letter about his new post, she was certain that she will be left in 8th. Him taking her to 1st was certainly a surprise to her and especially being appointed with 3rd seat of said division as co-vice captains. But she really didn't have any reason to complain. Okikiba-san was hard working individual, as was everyone else in first, for that matter. She missed eighth, that was true, after all it was her home since she finished academy, yet first division members were welcoming and supportive.

Damn, he thought, when Nanao softly shut the door shut behind them. What lousy timing.
They had been on the home stretch, almost free of this suffocating party, so Tōshirō guessed it was just there luck that another obstacle was planted in their way. He was thankful it wasn’t Matsumoto though, because he’d never be able to get out of that one, but Kyoraku and Ukitake were probably second worse when it came to people he didn’t want to meet while trying to hide in his own division.
The two elderly voices continued chatting away outside, Ukitake was laughing and Kyoraku was sounding a little tipsy (no surprise), but it was with horror making the hairs on the back of his neck rise that he realized, when the fukutaicho buried her face in her hands, that Kyoraku was planning on getting more sake.
Having been leaning against the door since they shut it, Tōshirō felt the pressure of a hand gripping the door handle in preparation of opening it. His stomach dropped - they couldn’t be found in here, with sake, together, at a party (what terrible, terrible rumours would that cause?) - so he did the first thing that came to mind and jumped away from the door. With a simple flick of his wrist the lock froze, effectively keeping the intruders out, but it appeared he wasn’t the only one who had had that idea.
A binding kido shot over his shoulder, crackled against the door, the lock, his ice, and then flared up in a dangerous shade of orange.
Ironic, thought Tōshirō, and the whole thing exploded.
She knew, she knew that their little escape plan was going way too smoothly till now. Some powerful forces obviously hated her and now they targeted captain Hitsugaya too. Shooting that kido was an automatic response, she thought it was a good idea. And was she really to blame for the fact that her companion used his powers? And that his ice wasn't compatible with kido? Not that it really mattered, because their cover was blown. Literally.
Now, there were few things she could do. There was the 'in denial' route which involved the two of them just walking out of the small storage, as if nothing had just happened, they weren't closed in said storage together, with sake and party all around. She was sure that this was one of the more stupid ideas, but it could be possible if they had time to discuss details. Yet as things stood there was very little of it for them to use.
There was option two – jump out of the window. Pretty undignified, yet one that would certainly work. If not for the fact that the storage didn't have any windows..........
Option three? Hide behind or inside the cupboards? She decided that yes, indeed, her stress induced mind had some very strange ideas. That wasn't going to do. She glanced at the captain.
That left only one thing. Which was pretty ridiculous, because how one gets rid of two old captains? No, no, no. That would technically be an assault of the captain and even children abuse. Blast entire door and shunpo the hell out of there? She glanced at Hitsugaya who was instead looking at her, as if waiting for something. What was she supposed to do?!
