Grey and I have been together for almost 2 YEARS. I am so glad I get to share every day with him, so in celebration of that, I am buying books for people… again. The twist? The books that I’ve chosen are some of my favourite love stories! Some are young adult, some are new adult, and some are adult.

Book Review/Book Tour: Love Strung by Jamie W. Matlock

Synopsis:

Country music hopeful, Kennedy Masters is a leap-before-you-look type of woman. Live in the moment, the here and now. That's her policy - anything other than that is boring, and she's never been particularly interested in boring. 3.75/5 stars (I had a really hard time deciding, clearly)

Love Strung is a fast paced and interesting story involving one girl getting caught between two brothers. It gets as messy as it sounds, and Jamie W. Matlock managed to string (see what I did there?) together a captivating story that leaves you wanting more. 

The characters are all very unique, you have headstrong Kennedy who is determined to make a career out of her talent. There's also Mick, the country music star with charisma that not only captivated fans but also maybe even Kennedy. And lastly there's Griff, the older brother of Mick who is mysterious and rough on the outside and who I sometimes just wanted to smack on the head. The banter between all of the characters is very enjoyable, there are funny moments, intense moments, and everything in between that makes a great book. There is definitely a lot of drama which at times seemed like a little too much and took away from the storyline, but overall it was still a good read. The writing was well done and really allowed you to feel emotions and what the characters were portraying, while still making it an easy and enjoyable read. 

If you're looking for a deep or angsty book this might not be for you - but if you're looking for a cute, light and fluffy romance with some drama (but nothing too serious) this is definitely the book for you! Also there's a great musical component to the storyline that any music lover would enjoy!
