Percy Jackson s2 Episode 8 Random Reactions
Blackjack just being in the middle of the road lmao... "He knows him... ok" Sally lmao
Sally doesnt know about the Great Prophecy omfg that's insane
Not Percy having to relive his trauma of what happened with the Minotaur and urging Sally to stay away bc he doesnt want to lose her for real this time
Not Tantalus dying before he could eat the chicken leg lmao... get wrecked
The editing with us getting to focus on Luke but our trio getting to hear his words bc of Tyson... chef's kiss. This type of stuff is what makes a power like Tyson's so great in visual media
"Kronos can manipulate dreams"... Annabeth girl, do you think they maybe he might have manipulated yours to get you to tell Luke about the Fleece bringing Thalia back? Cause im sure thinking it
The cut to Mr. D having a singalong while everything outside is burning to the ground is comedy gold lmao
The look back at Annabeth when he says prophecy in his speech... also him using the "we take care of our own" that Thalia and Luke used
Yall the shot of the demigods coming out from the smoke scared me... like imagine think you are fighting
Ok knowing what I know about Chris from the books, him talking about traitors and accusing Katie sent my anxiety levels up and I was right to be worried
Ok ouch at Chris being like " your mistake was thinking we were friends" to Clarrise who has a crush on him but also I loved her smirk bc yes she does have friends, ones that even Luke and Chris would be shocked by
The transition of Thalia going from tree to girl was fantastic, it looked gorgeous
Tyson, you're making me cry "I prayed for a friend, and I was sent a brother" aww
Percy straight asking Poseidon if he had him bc of the Prophecy and poseidon admitting it was love... so sweet
Not the "drool in your sleep" call back and Percy being like just say "shut up jackson" already lmao... they trying to gain back some normalcy
Zeus purposely turing Thalia into a tree is a great twist for an adaptation that is trying to expand the lore and explore complex themes while staying true to the heart of the books. Im excited to see how the consequences of that action by Zeus play out
(Also Thalia 100% chooses to become a Hunter to take herself off the board and to not be used as a weapon by Zeus, that's how they are gonna frame her decision im sure)
And this is why they had Percy retell the story to Tyson... they wanted the audience to remember the version the camp was told for when the truth came out
