i'm a few days behind but i wanted to share a project i'm doing in 2026, where i listen to one album by a female creative every single day. this is only really possible because i'm barely employed and incredibly aimless, but i'm so thankful to have all this free time to discover so much new music! i've also been adding the best song from every album to a playlist, which you can find here:

i would really appreciate any suggestions for albums i should check out next, especially in languages and from cultures that are as yet underrepresented on the playlist. i am also woefully detached from the welsh women's music scene so if anyone has any recs there, PLEASE lmk!

i feel like there’s not a great visual framework currently for feminists to identify one another. (this is on purpose btw.) “feminist” on a t shirt? okay that’s like anyone who shopped at forever21 in the 2010s. not feminine? maybe she’s a feminist… maybe she just doesn’t gaf. which is also very cool don’t get me wrong. but this passage from anaïs nin: the last days by barbara kraft gets at what i mean:
