O, Miami Poetry Festival takes place during the entire month of Arpril and was founded by Scott P. Cunningham. Its mission is for every person in Miami to encounter a poem. In April 2014, B.A.N. collaborated with O, Miami for a Pages & Spreads event. This book showcases the diverse and exciting arrangement of events by which Miamians have encountered poetry during the festival.Â

Cerramos los Lunes by Fernando Farfán
Translation of text on front Cover by Jose Enrique Acevez
"That night he told me that he believed that life granted every one of us brief moments of pure happiness. Sometimes only days or weeks. Sometimes, years. Everything depends on our fortune. The memory of those moments will be with us forever and they will turn into a country of our memory of which we will forever attempt to return to, but never will. For me those instances will always remain in the memories of the first night, just walking around town..."
A couple's journey in search for each other. The design features full bleed vertical images, two per page, which almost feels as if there were two photographers. The girl and the boy point of view. This romantic zine ends with an image of a couple kissing intensively, followed by empty room with a painting of swans in the shape of a heart.Â

Publishing as (part-time) Practice
A book about the current state of self-publishing by graphic designers. This tittle explores the graphic designer role as publisher and curator and questions the economic issues of the distribution of books. A nice read for those interested in making books. People think books are dead, but the market reflects growth, as e-book sales slow. The real question is not will books die, but which books should live on.Â
