Ebony Rainford-Brent says she sometimes questioned why she remained in cricket after being subjected to racial comments during her career in the sport.
This is some of what Sky just aired. Hopefully the live segment will be up somewhere soon as well.Â
Michael Holding was close to tears talking about some of his experiences with racism and says society must change.
Michael Holdingâs live piece đ
The twitter feed also has the interview with Ebony Rainford-Brent that followed, will probably be on the website soon. Watch these.
What a double century!
B J Watling, youâre a god.

Goodreads Challenge 2018
So this time last year I set myself the target of reading 99 books during 2018. Well I sort of went past that a bit...
In 2018 I read...... 170 books!
Iâve read some great books and Iâve read some, quite frankly, crap books but I only gave up on two books because Iâm one of those readers that have to read the entire book just incase it turns out to be not as bad as it seems.
Now to decide what to read next....
Book Advent Calendar 2018
Here they are: all the books in my book advent calendar for 2018.
My attempt at a book Christmas tree.Â
Book Advent Calendar 2018
Well the year has gone by incredibly quickly yet again, which means it is time for this yearâs book advent calendar.
All 24 books were bought from a local charity shop and since I wrapped them in July I now have no idea what Iâll be encountering over the next month.
Last yearâs was great fun and helped me discover a few really good authors that I probably wouldnât have tried otherwise.
Looking forward to seeing what this batch will reveal.
Coming into a fandom late
Coming into a fandom early and watching it become an angry clusterfuck
Being in a dormant fandom that suddenly comes alive again after a new book/movie
Donât forget about those who come in the midst of a fandom war.Â
Accuracy at its best
Being in a fandom and not even knowing thereâs a war going onâŚ
all of this shitâŚlol
When Youâre Not In The Fandom But Youâre Nosy AF
When you get into a fandom only to discover itâs dead
This gets better every time I see it.Â
@fuboos-mess
Being in a dead fandomâŚ
Or being in such a tiny fandom that it feels like youre the only one
The accuracy hurts.
Being in a fandom that had a shit ending.
When youâve been fangirling long enough, youâve experienced all of the above.
Being in a fandom meant for kids.
This just gets better..
@mi-kleos
When you realize that joining the fandom has ruined you
Fandom hell in general
Yes.
This^^^ just⌠ALL OF THIS.
Being in so many fandoms that you donât even know whatâs going on
THIS IS THE SKULDUGGERY FUCKING PLEASANT FANDOM IN ONE POST!!
Trying to recruit people to your fandom
Annnnnnndddd itâs back
Being in a fandom which has so many antis
Iâve probably reblogged this before, but that was before these great additions.
Being in a fandom that actually works together
Why is this so true? All of it.
being in a fanbase but all your mutuals suddenly turn into Kpop blogs
I always enjoy it when a good post comes around again and has been improved by the reblogs like the years for a fine wine.
Being in a fandom when shit goes down and everyone has different opinions
When you are in a fandom and donât care for others people opinionâŚ..even if they are rightâŚ(believe me, I have met several of those)
Being in a fandom you never meant to join
I love this. and itâs gotten better
After abandoning a fandom youâre still a little bit emotionally invested inâŚ.
Books! Lots of Books!
Went on a bit of road-trip today down to a magical place somewhere between Bristol and Wells (Somerset-ish) called THE BOOKBARNÂ
It is a magnificent haven of secondhand books, they say about a million or so, and the best bit is that the very large majority of them are only ÂŁ1 each!!!!
I may have bought one or two.....or ten ¯\_(ă)_/ÂŻ
Only thing is I now not only have to pick which one of these to read first (Iâve already got four on the go) Iâm also going to have to reorganise my shelves...
Maybe tomorrow...
Oh dear.Â
Not so sure about the new look lads.
Sometimes coincidence can be downright creepy.
Yesterday I went on a road trip with my choir to take part in a chorus festival and i decided to try out an audiobook for the first time.Â
As I was listening it mentioned two songs that were important to the characterâs mother... one of which we were performing as part of our set. This morning, put the iPod on shuffle and what should come up but the other song.
If that wasnât creepy enough, I then picked up another book and the page I was reading contained the line ârearranging the deckchairs on a certain doomed vesselâ. As I turned the page the iPod came up with âMy Heart will go onâ
Either this is a set of curious and creepy coincidences or the iPod is sentient and maybe possessed.Â
Another steam railway sign.
