Sometimes our trauma isnât about what we did experience but can be about what we didnât experience as a child or didnât get to experience as much as we should have.
Itâs normal and valid to mourn the things you didnât get to experience.

âI think the saddest people always try their hardest to make people happy because they know what itâs like to feel absolutely worthless and they donât want anyone else to feel like that.â
â Robin Williams

âIsnât it funny how day by day nothing changes, but when you look back, everything is different.â
â C.S. Lewis
i love reading so much and i love books, i love feeling like i know the author through their writing and feeling connected to them through their characters, i love relating to fictional silly people bc it makes me feel less alone and i also love not relating to them at all and seeing things or learning things from a perspective i never would've thought. i love crying in the middle of the night bc my favorite character got their heart broken and i love laughing like a maniac at 3am bc of a funny scene. i love romance books and mysteries and true crime books, i love fantasy books and the amazing, incredible world building in them. isn't incredible how one person can reach so many people with just one story? i justâ i love books.
Can you remember who you were, before the world told you who you should be?
Charles Bukowski
I donât know who needs to hear this, but thereâs no deadline for the things you do in life outside of societal expectation. it may feel like there is, but there really isnât. thereâs no set time frame to finish anything. you donât have to have x, y, or z accomplished by a certain time. there is no countdown. you can graduate high school a year later than you intended. you donât have to be done with college by 22. you donât have to buy a house by 26. you donât have to achieve all your goals before youâre 30. you donât have to get married just because everyone else is. you donât have to have children before youâre ready. you can wait. you can try again later. you can finish some other time. and itâs okay if you do: everyone has different timelines, different paths. what is right for someone else may not be right for you. just because someone else did something by whatever age, doesnât mean you are a failure if you donât. just because you donât meet a milestone when you think youâre supposed to, doesnât mean you never will. thereâs not an expiration date. be patient with yourself, give yourself some grace. slow down.
