Kiss of Death || AU Babuzco
Babette: hadn't really slept in days. Of course, she had no one to blame but herself for that, but it didn't exactly change anything. Ever since she and Kuzco had gotten back to Walt, she seemed to be slipping back into old habits (secretly, of course). Everything was so much easier when it was just the two of them, when she didn't have to pretend and the air wasn't so repulsively gloomy. But, she had to do what she had to do, right? Tonight, though, she was able to crash (actually, she probably had no choice /but/ to crash), and she had every intention to sleep until she was physically unable to sleep any longer. That wasn't exactly happening when Kuz started nudging her, though. Groaning, she rolled, mumbling a small "Go to sleeeeep," before cuddling into him. She wasn't getting up for anything right now.
Kuzco: gripped the bottle tighter, his eyes squeezing shut as hot air blew from his nose, attempting to calm himself. There was something in the air, something that was not giving him the right state of mind. He felt...angry, an emotion Kuzco seldom felt. He tore himself from her silly cuddle, standing up and turning to face her. He shook the bottle in her face, the loud rattling echoing through the room. "What is this? What the fuck is this?!" he yelled before turning to look to the ground, letting out an angered growl. He was being irrational. It was completely plausible for her to have an explanation, but did Kuzco care at the moment? The answer was obvious when he jerked towards the wall, his fist colliding with the now crumbling barrier. No. He just needed any reason to be enraged.
