Prepare for yapfest, because I adore almost everything about Skids (and uh spoilers? I think)
I love that he's genuinely a kind soul who loves his friends and tries to do right by others.
After situation with Swerve and holo-Earth, when Skids thought: "how could I not notice that something's wrong? And why don't I know where Swerve's room is? I'm his friend??" Skids actually wanted to fix his shitty behaviour and be a better friend for Swerve.
He prioritised getting Quark out of the Grindcore over his own freedom (I mean we know how it all ended but;;)
After getting his memories back, Skids was most concerned about apologising to/informing Brainstorm about what he did, what happened to Quark, even if it wasn't Skids fault,, (brother you are literally dying, chill)

Skids I think was unique with the relationship he had with his past. Running is easy and many characters choose this path (like Chromedome for example) but Skids actively tries to unbury his past and confront it, no matter how painful or tragic it might be or how many warnings he receives.
He wanted to remember everyone he forgot, even if he did them wrong, because forgetting would be unfair to them. That is extremely brave and admirable.
He's reliable, smart. He doesn't bend under pressure or fear, he's kind and assertive at the same time. I really like how versatile he can be: one moment he's a social butterfly, dancing, talking to everyone and laughing. And next he's spending time with more quiet and reserved bots, like Rung. And it's not like he's forcing himself anywhere or that he wants attention, no he's just like that, a magnetic personality. Skids can match to situation and people perfectly and I'm so jelous,, naah I wish I could do that.
I don't think there's anyone on the Lost Light who hates Skids, he gets along with everyone. Even Megatron- during the slaughterhouse arc- was mainly communicating and sharing his observations with Skids. And he also had the guts to call Megs out on his bullshit and got him to cooperate??
I also like that Skids introduces himself as a theoretician, u know,, a person who specialises in theory of a subject, but then exhibits skills of a professional fighter, being badass and all that
An outlier who can absorb knowledge and skills unnaturally fast - suffers from amnesia BRUH the contradictions are so funny-
And I like that his autobot badge is asymmetrical :>
