Boozereview: Royal Rivarose Brut Rosé

This post is not paid or sponsored in any way. Well. It's raining... and I want some bubbles. Sooooo... I popped over to my corner liquor store and I'm looking for some bubbles, but it's like summer and I like totally need my rosé. I used the tried and true, 'know-your-distributor' trick in finding this little gem. The only distributor on the shelf that I was familiar with was Monsieur Touton Ltd. I find that they import some okay wines, that are good for an indoor brunch or girltime wine. This rosé is nice. It's a soft peach color which highlights the softness waiting for you in the glass! It's fruity and a bit tangy, with notes of strawberries and cherries. The downside is how long the sparkling lasts, but that could just be this particular bottle. This bottle was around 17 bucks. I'm not mad and neither is my wallet. You can find Royal Rivarose in Greenpoint (holy shit not in Bushwick) at Greenpoint Wine & Liquor or online. Happy boozing bitches!

Boozereview: Babe Rosè by White Girl Wine

This post is not paid or sponsored in any way. ​ It was serendipitous boozers. I was looking for some mini margs the other night in Astoria, and the store clerk said, "we just got in babe rosè" I was unfamiliar and shook my head, until he said "It's made by White Girl Wine."  White Girl Wine is the godwine for basic bitches. They have no problems screaming out "YAS for rosè" or "Rosè for breakfast!" (I mean... who isn't?!) The Northern California based winery has been getting a lot of press with @TheFatJewish promoting their rosè and being pretty fucking trendy.   See?  Babe Rosè is BUBBLY. Yes bitch, sparkling rosè IN A FUCKING CAN. There are four 250ml cans in a box, which means for the $10-$15 dollar price point, you're getting MORE than a bottle for LESS. YYYYAAASSSSSS!!  [wpvideo oT1TqtBG]​ Some friends and I cracked open some cans and even the most dude among us had to admit that it was pretty good wine.  Each can of the rosè was pretty bubbly, not at all flat, which was a huge concern of mine. It's light, with strawberry and a hint of watermelon flavor. It's a fucking Zinfandel/Pinot Grigo blend y'all and it's stealing my heart. It's more on the dry side, which I love, and crisp as hell! I had it with a chorizo burrito and it was perfection. Being in a can makes this one of the perfect beach wines! Just unbox, coozy and VIOLA!  You can find White Girl Rosè in 62 stores in New York, but your best bet for finding Babe Rosè is good ol' FreshDirect.  Happy boozing bitches!

Vibe: If you haven't been to The Rookery, you're definitely missing out. Not only is their patio amazing, but the horseshoe bar is a sight to see. The rookery definitely has the space you want for big groups, but doesn't sacrifice the intimacy some big groups may be looking for. The bar service/table service rule is pretty easy to understand and follow. (There's no table service until after 7 on weekdays.) The patio is something out of a ladies who lunch catalog, complete with whimsically placed shrubs. This is a great hangout/date spot/meeting place for all age groups in 'wick. The playlists changes to suit the clientele, so you can be carried off to Birdland one minute and swinging from the Chandelier the next.  Boozeworthiness: Any place that will give you a bottle of wine for 15 dollars is somewhere I'd like to be more often. The wine was way better than I expected, and the food was great. Also, there's like eight entire hours of happy.  🙌 How can you not love that?! Don't worry my little loves, I plan on reviewing this app thoroughly. For you guys... totally unselfishly purchasing booze for my own consumption and yours, vicariously. -BB.

Vibe: It's so fucking cute, but it's like an alien invasion set in when we were there. "Everyone is at the bar on their phones and no one is talking." At first glance, it looks like only a bar in Bushwick can pull off, and hen I found out it's a coffee shop in the morning. Makes sense now. They play solid classic rock jams which seems to pull their look together. 

Boozeworthiness: Awesome place to go by yourself or with a group. They have a whole secret section in the back. The whiskey sour I ordered for my well drink was made so well. No gun sour here. Definitely a place I could see myself snuggling up to. 

Side note: THAT FUCKING PIE IS AMAZING.

Vibe: The Sampler is a man cave. With slow jazz playing, every whiskey you could ever dream of, and a tv that's on sports, The Sampler is a boyfriends dream spot. Ladies, they threw in hot bartenders so you won't mind taking him here every one in a while. 

Boozeworthiness: This bar can be your booze grocery and your new favorite whiskey bar. They even have cool events happening all the time. Downside is the size. Which I think is a good thing cause this bar could get real bro real fast. Luckily, it's a little haven for lovers of beer.
