Abandoning ones self.

I awoke to the blurry sting of her words displaced down my face. Salt streams caught upon my tamed tongue, preserving my held voice, fought back and tied to my throat. I swallowed and I swallowed the sound. The room was silent, bound to the ruler, bound to the inside, bound to the order of my fidelity. And you don’t see, that  it is my silence that sets you free,  as you slam the front door containing me.
