Film Review : You Again (2010)
What would you do if your soon-to-be sister in law is the one that ruined your high school life. Marni discovers that her brother is going to married and yet her fiance, Joana is the person that bullied her. She couldn't believe it, she couldn't moved on to the past. The one that almost took her life. Marni thought it would be better to take a 'revenge' since Joana did an awful job towards her. And from that, something unexpected did happen to Joana and also to Marni and the rest of the family. From this film. I have learned that we should gave everyone a second chance as they made mistakes before. It's easy to say but hard to do. We couldn't let go our past, no matter bad or traumatic could they ever been. And also family matters, it also show how family is important to us, as what Gail said to Ramona(swimming pool scenr) "my family is my accomplishment and i am very happy, they all love me." And so this could be a great lesson on how to forgive someone and make new moments once more. I also like how this film featured songs such as Daryll Hall and John Oates' Kiss on My List, Queen's We are the Champions and Britney Spears' Toxic. And also Grandma Bunny. She's my favorite character there. It's amazing how Betty White portrayed her and the tension between her rival, Helen. "Who dressed you? The Great Depression." "I'm sorry I couldn't attend to your funeral last year." One of the best tension i have seen, like the 40s version.
