I was substitute teaching for a high school art history class yesterday and managed to get through a discussion about these two Davids without using the word “twink” once. I want a medal. [Image description: Two bronze statues of the biblical David. On the left, Donatello’s version. The youthful male figure wears a helmet adorned with flowers and boots, but nothing else. He stands holding a sword in a hip-popped contrapposto. His foot rests on the severed head of the giant Goliath. On the right is Verrocchio’s version. This David is similarly youthful, with curly hair. He wears a skirted tunic fitted close to his body. He has flower or sunburst adornments on his nipples. Both are the twinkiest twinks who ever twunked.]
many problems are caused by the mindset that the world is divided into good people and bad people and the bad people can be "found out" and removed, eventually leading to a utopia containing only good people.
#I've reblogged this before but uh. yeah.#people hate that ''just kill all the rapists and murderers'' isn't actually a viable strategy
Fun Fact: in one month (1/1/23), all Sherlock Holmes stories hit the public domain and the Conan Doyle Estate can't do shit! I say this for absolutely no reason but also congrats in advance to the happy couple.
