This frame is the funniest thing to me, everyone is just so tired of Charlie’s shit.
Neil probably wants to punch him in the face, Todd’s straight up exasperated, Meeks is pretending he isn’t there and Knox doesn’t even know what the fuck is going on anymore
hi ml! first off can i say that your account & your writing are so beautiful 🙂↕️ i find myself coming back to your profile a lot 💗

⋆✴︎˚。⋆ Charlie Dalton SFW Alphabet (pt.1)
You guys are OBSESSEDD with him so I gotta give it to you straight up. I see Charl as a big, advocative character so that's how I wrote him in my version.
A = Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?)
Charlie's childhood wasn't devoid of physical or emotional contact — his father was always working, and his mother, though she tried, was a traditionalist. He developed a hunger for it. He grew to become fiery, insistent. He knows the need for justice when he sees it — and this is even more amplified when he got older.
Enter; you. You're everything he's ever wanted — everything he wasn't allowed to have, and his parents gave him all that was available in their bank. It boggled his mind how something inside of him could experience a feeling so fragile, so vulnerable. It pushed him to man up and decide. You were priceless, he determined — to not be affectionate with you is an opportunity missed. For someone like Charlie, that is one opportunity too much.
B = Best friend (What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?)
Protective, affectionate, and way too close. You doubted if you really were just friends, but he isn't the type to bluff. He says what you are.
"I really like you," he'd drawl in nonchalance.
You frowned, "Like? What do you mean, 'like'?"
He shrugged, but you could see his cheeks and ears redden, splotches of bashfulness scattered along his features, "Y'know, as in 'I like you.' I think we should hang about some more, make it official. What do you think?" as he put his arm around your shoulder.
You grinned and snuggled closer. Charlie couldn't take it. He ended up confessing to you in the midst of tears and rain the week after.
C = Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?)
Cuddling with him is warm, it makes your heart leap out of your chest even after years of being married. He's always so attentive, so present, so... there with you. He'll tuck a strand hair behind your ear and lull out, "My girl, my girl, my girl. What would I do without you?" It's barely audible, but you knew he said it from the thrum of his sternum to the surface of your ear. You understood him, and it was surreal how he knew you so much better still.
D = Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?)
He does, but he's probably the one who's ironically most hesitant about settling down than his friends.
Charlie loves you, and he wants only the best for you. He has a list of things he could do without a second thought, but getting married isn't one of them. His fear of being his father — soulless, corporate, cold. He doesn't want to, couldn't bare the thought of you morphing into what his mother has become. You were his color, and he was yours. It was unfair how unsure he has got. (cont., read: Fiancee)
E = Ending (If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?)
In 1962, he had a good friend named Simon who went to the same darts place he did. Si was black, but Charlie didn't give a damn. He hung out with him much to others' distaste, loved him like a brother who he never expected to have. Simon spoke of his university, the protests they participated in, and the role he took in them. He explained how the tensions were raising much faster than before, more aggressive and dangerous. Charlie noticed it in the way the other patrons seethed at them.
When Simon told him about the civil rights movement being all around, he fully expected Charlie to walk away and never see him again. Spit on his face, maybe even call the cops. Instead, he offered to join in — bike and all — and voice it to a couple of his buddies. He helped Si reach home before he went back to you more sullen, deep in thought. It never bothered you. Not when your pride for him grew stronger each time.
March that same year, Charlie was kicked out of his parents' home for showing up on television and advocating for those who had less. He couldn't see you, couldn't be with you. He had to let it die down for a number of months before rekindling again.
It was the most daunting two months you've ever endured.
F = Fiance(e) (How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?)
One day, you were sitting under your favorite tree, just a couple miles away from Welton. He kept track of that. He picked you up on his motorcycle and went out with you for the day, starting from the mornings, which wasn't often — but you insisted that the flowers were calling for you, and the sunrise was just as beautiful as the night. He caved. You stopped by to sit with him under the shade after he parked his motorcycle, the autumn leaves cushioning you two under your bum. You shared everything with him, and he talked in the gaps of silence. He liked it. His heart dropped when it dawned on him. You deserve this; you deserve him. Him and everything he could offer. You've been there for him when he was a stupid, arrogant, smug who was making more bad decisions than good — and somehow, he still doubted himself after the change. It was so intense to the point where he felt disgusted he waited that long. He couldn't do it.
He proposed the next week.
G = Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)
He stumbled into vulnerability and earnest honesty when he met you. It stole his breath away. He couldn't picture doing anything to you but those with softness, tenderness of heart, and gentleness of touch. He couldn't bare losing you, after all he's lost. After Neil, after what happened with his parents. It took you working together to get him back up and working again, to become a man ready to work and fight for himself and the rights of others.
H = Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?)
HE LOVES THEMMM he's the type of guy to tug at your hands so they wrap around him tighter when he's riding his motorbike. He wants you close to him, holding him, touching him, cooing to him as if he's the only boy in the world. Charlie thrives on physical touch since I think he got so little of it back home.
I = I love you (How fast do they say the L-word?)
Loving Charlie feels like eternal youth, it feels like the crush you had when you were sixteen, even when you're reaching sixty-four. He's sprightly, brave, daring, and passionate — he yearns, although he wouldn't admit it, and you're the only one who could quench a thirst he couldn't fulfill.
At one point, he blurred it out when you were having dinner — his eyes doozy from your perfume, drowsy gaze on you with a lazy smirk. Saying it back was the easiest thing you've ever done.
J = Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they’re jealous?)
He gets really pissy LOL like before you got together, he'd scribble doodles of the guy being run over by cartoon roadrunners of any of them tried something on you before throwing it their way. He becomes a total nuisance when he's jealous and torture the guy with his antics until he pisses off. After he's matured a bit, he'd even confront them about it — although a nice, possessive hand on your waist usually deters them just enough.
K = Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?)
He loves to kiss you on the most dramatic settings lol I'm talking about after he rode his bike under the moonlight, while watching the sunset at the pier, near the blooming flowers when spring begun. He is SO dramatic. Sassy man epidemic in good use.
L = Little ones (How are they around children?)
He hates rowdy children. He loves playing with them, babysitting them, listening to them and giving them advice. He's especially soft around baby boys, reminds him of what he could've been had things been different. He can't help but admit how much he loves seeing them run around with their tubby legs, tripping over, and getting straight up again. He might just bring the topic in with you.
M = Morning (How are mornings spent with them?)
Lazy, slow, and close. He loves spoiling himself (and you) with extra leisure time, and if that means working at noon hours then so be it. He likes his coffee with sugar and a ton of creamer so he'd be up and going faster if you make it for him. He'd offer to make eggs for you but believe me you... wouldn't want it. It's either too salty, burnt, or your pan somehow bent in half.
N = Night (How are nights spent with them?)
You'd love putting skin care on him, fancy creams and ointments. He always makes fun of the French names they have, but his gaze softens when you giggle and pamper him with care. He's just a man.
O = Open (When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?)
He likes revealing things to you when he knows you'll listen and coo and baby him afterwards. He'd purposefully tell you the story about how he didn't get a teddy bear on his fifth birthday and you'd cave and cup his face and comfort him but it's all a ploy.
P = Patience (How easily angered are they?)
Not really. He'd be fired up by other people, but even we've seen him with Cameron and he only punched him after a LONG WHILE of tolerance. He's not aggressive or malicious, he's just assertive.
Q = Quizzes (How much would they remember about you? Do they remember every little detail you mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?)
He strikes me as someone who often forgets things LOL not just about you, but generally. The main and only feud you have within your marriage is because he keeps forgetting promises or important dates (even his birthday). You kissed his cheek to avoid him being angry at himself, and ever since then he began post-it-ing everything. Every. Miniscule. Thing. It evolved so much to the point where he has a day for all occasions. (Don't get upset when he randomly gets a cake because it's "Graduation day! It's the day of your elementary graduation, baby," he smirked.
R = Remember (What is their favorite moment in your relationship?)
When you rode away from the first dinner at his parents' house. They agreed, at first, to supply you two for the basic necessities during the wedding — but he warned you that they're not at all easy people. Especially since you're not what they expected to see. In short, dinner went awry. He made it all better because he took you for ice cream right after, giving you your favorite flavor as he indulges in his own. Charlie's heart may break when he remembers 5pm that day, but it's comforted by knowing what ensued after 7.
