Scotch & Whiskey [ Flashback ]

Raising a brow, Sheva had to admit that she was impressed. "Yeah," she answered him, but not loudly. The bartender returned with her small glass with whiskey on a bed of ice cubes. She nodded to the bartender, thanking him quietly and smiling at him. She raised her own glass to her lips and took a small sip. The liquid burned at the back of her throat before she swallowed it down. It warmed her chest almost instantly. 

With a small clink, her glass was placed back on the bar top. She looked over to the man beside her, "How’d you guess?" She was simply curious as to how he’d guessed that she was a whiskey kind of woman. Though, like her, he’d probably just spent a lot of time at bars and had learned to read people. 

"You mind if I take that seat beside you?" Sheva nodded to the empty bar stool just to his right, “It would probably be easier than shouting across the room to one another.”  She smirked, pushing a dark strand of misplaced hair behind her ear.

Leon with eyes of steel looked at her with a faint smile, looking at the raised eyebrow face she made he turned on his stool a bit towards her, cigarette in his left hand, holding the glass of scotch in his right hand. "I guess you could say i'm a little more observative". Leon motioned his eyes towards the bartender, indicating that he saw the man make the drink. 

"They only make drinks for people that sit at the bar." he said lightly towards her, motioning his hand toward the seat next to him after she asked to sit next to him. The music was moderately loud, it would be hard to hear her from across the way. He took another sip of his scotch, the burning sensation at this point felt normal, like it was apart of swallowing.

Leon dragged the filter to his lips to wash down the taste of the alcohol, inhaling the smoke into his lungs he exhaled slowly afterwards through his nostrils. The smoke filled the the area around him as he wafted it away from where she would sit. "Mind if I smoke?" he finally beckoned after smoking all this time,

Gun shots heard as he looked down to the rocks of ice sitting in his glass cup, the scotch, warm, melting it slowly he could see them move as he remembered all he’d been through. He thought of the las plagas and umbrella, thought of wesker and how all of this is still continuing.

Leon held the scotch up to his lips, taking a deep gulp before he finished it and set the glass back on the table. He beckoned over to the bartender for another glass. Tonight was a night to celebrate, the world safe once more, but Leon knew otherwise, another force would always come to replace the other.

He sighed as he took a pack of cigarettes out of his jacket pocket and lifted it to his mouth, lips gripping the soft surface and pulling the stick from its coveted place. He lifted a hand from his lower pocket and flipped open a zippo lighter. One flick of his thumb lit the fire and thus lit the cigarette. A long drag before he exhaled and dumped the ashes into the tray. A night to celebrate.

It had been another long day at the BSAA headquarters. Another day of burying herself in her work to forget that fact that, outside of work, she didn’t have much of a life at all. Sheva walked into a local bar and took in the dusk and smoke that made up the environment. Normally, she’d just go to the same old bar just a few blocks from her town home, but the owner was out of town for a few days and thus, the place was closed down temporarily. 

Her normal bar didn’t allow smoking, which she kind of liked. Sheva wasn’t a smoker. She also wasn’t one to tell others what to do, or shame them for smoking, though. So this was fine. She’d endure the smokey for the night. Taking a seat at the bar, she raised a hand for the bartender to come over. Once he did, she politely made her order, “I’ll have a Jack on the rocks.” 

She glanced over where, just a few seats away, a man lit his cigarette. He was attractive, and he seemed like he didn’t belong among the people at this particular bar. While Sheva wasn’t usually one to judge, the men in this bar seemed to be like something out of a horror flick. Big beer bellies that were barely even covered by greasy t-shirts, and filthy mouths with curse words spattered in every other word. "What are you having?" Sheva nodded to the man’s glass.

Among all the noise, she wasn’t sure if he would even hear her though.

Leon noticed the door had opened as a stranger, a woman walked in. He was actually surprised at the fact a woman would step near this bar, given the state it was in and the people that inhabit it. The only reason he was here was because they had a scotch that aged just right.

He looked over to her as she sat down, the cigarette smoke flying into the air as he simply held it with his two lips. He didn't want to seem rude so when she glanced over he looked back towards his glass of scotch.

He took another drag of the cigarette when she asked what kind of drink he was having. He glanced over towards her as the smoke he exhaled through his nose fell to the bar and scattered everywhere. He gripped the glass and brought it up to his face before he stated

"Scotch, and you must be Whiskey?"

"But of course," she’d murmur, amber depths watching the slight struggle he had with his clothes.

"If it’s so important, then why is it you are still here speaking to me?" Ah, yes, she was back to old tactics; pushing at the policeman ever so slowly to either break or make him. Yet he always remained.

He looked at her ever so closely, he couldn't believe her inability to comprehend the importance of it. Bacon and eggs were such an interesting thing. He simply stared at frozen in time as a war started to rage inside of his head.

He couldn't help but think about the ignorance it takes to classify eggs exclusively as a breakfast food.

He dropped to his knees with is hands running through his hair. "Breakfast doesn't exist!!!!!"

So many people were qualified but Ingrid only felt a few would truly do the DSO right. Leon and Adam had created the DSO, it was their program, and it was nothing without Adam. It was surviving, very well in fact, but there was something missing and she knew everyone felt that. Leon had to have felt that missing piece.

"No, I’m fine." Sleep was something she merely did when caffeine wasn’t enough. A few cups of coffee and an energy drink here and there kept her going most days. If she were at home, a nap was all that got her through the rest of the day. Sleep was nothing to her, but by the look on his face, she knew he would bother her about it until the end of time.

The conversation took a rather odd turn, and she wasn’t sure of how to respond. "Depends on what you want to know."

He looked at her in a deep through, one that she knew well. He knew about him from the files Chris and Sheva submitted, allowing him to learn of the man. But he wanted to know more. He'd heard of mentions of a man. Not only this but that fact that Ada may have worked with such a man.

He finally spoke, stern yet gentle. "I want to know everything, all the way back to Raccoon City."

     “Perhaps.”

     Uroboros thrashes from wall to wall, sensing something in the man before him.  An infection? Most intriguing. The Tyrant remained still, only desiring to observe as his red eyes gleam through his sunglasses, an aftereffect of the virus becoming active within. “You’re a long ways from the United States, Agent Kennedy. What brings you here?” The answer was obvious, however it would be rude not to strike up a conversation.

     His darkened wardrobe did well to keep him blended in during the late hours while on the move. Barring his skin and hair, he stood as a shadow, tall and unwavering, looking down upon his possible prey. Wesker places his hands behind his back, head tilts slightly up as his gaze remains constantly fixed upon Kennedy, allowing himself open for further ‘inspection’.

     “You’re still infected aren’t you?” A dull reminder of the Las Plagas incident from several years back. Although Wesker wasn’t there personally, he thoroughly observed the events with the assistance of one Ada Wong. However, provided if she actually followed orders, he wouldn’t be holding this conversation right now.

     Kennedy wasn’t his primary concern. His appearance only insinuates that he was now under watch by at least one major government, the BSAA soon to follow.

     Such a shame too, as he was beginning to enjoy Wales.

He couldn't help but get a pit feeling in his stomach. He was in front of a person that not only once ran umbrella but was the primary cause of the Kijuju incident, and survived to tell the tale. "I don't think I need to make it known, you should know why I'm here, shouldn't you? You're the chessmaster aren't you?"

Leon made it well known to stand his ground, he stood with a strong demeanor, in the eyes of the man in front of him, if you didn't stand at his level you were just a bug to step on, Leon was neither. He looked him directly in the eyes as he heard the snake speak to him.

Squinting his eyes a bit, he could feel the plaga inside of him, he didn't know why he reacted so ill towards Wesker. Was it a need for his parasite to destroy that infection? A need for dominance in this world? He couldn't know, didn't want to know. The glow in his eyes shining bright blue in the darkened skies, seasoned eyes that have seen tragedy.

"Well, I honestly don’t know. For now, it’s switching between people. I’ve been asked, a lot of people have been." She gave a low sigh, unsure of how the DSO would operate now. Things were definitely changing, and with Benford dead, with a lot of people indisposed, it was all chaos. Organized chaos. "They’re currently holding a vote to see who’s capable of running the DSO."

She was tired, she was annoyed. Work had depleted, and yet, at the same time, it was growing. Ingrid was lost, she was buried deep.

Anxiety was setting in, she was losing it. In the back of her mind, she knew this wasn’t the end, it was a beginning. Simmons had started something, Neo-Umbrella was ripe, someone would carry it on and ruin the world. "Talk to Helena at all? Haven’t heard from her in weeks."

He listened to her talk about the switching of the head of DSO, in the back of his mind he should be the one to run the show, he'd seen enough and knows enough to be able to run it. But it wasn't like him to be a leader, he preferred to work alone.

"You need to get some sleep" he mentioned to her, she looked tired, even he could see it through the screen of a dimly lighted phone. "On the note of Helena, she just went on her way not to long before I called you" he looked a bit confused, but then he remembered something important. "Hunnigan, what can you give me on Albert Wesker?"

He woke up next to her, his body urging with such desire. He shook her awake with the insatiable need to tell her. "I’m making bacon and eggs"

After abruptly being awoken from a rather peaceful slumber, amber hues narrowed slightly. "Then perhaps you should go do that, Leon," pausing a moment, she shifted, now propped up on an elbow. What was it with this man and his breakfast?

     After Tricell’s collapse, many groups sought to grasp its resources, whether it was personnel, ‘products’, or locations. All known Tricell facilities were demolished, a safety precaution mandated due to the possible biohazards looming within. However, the company didn’t show all of their cards out in the open. Several experimental facilities were built underground, to not only focus on ‘illegal’ experimentation, but to also avoid various business laws and regulations.

     One of these hidden facilities were located in Wales. After the corporation’s collapse, ownership was passed around between multiple local groups, eventually falling upon Albert Wesker, who now used it as a base of operations.

     The location was ideal for him for a number of reasons, most notably the size and adjacency to a large city, Cardiff to be exact. Most of the citizens of the area moved around their daily business, keeping chit-chat to a minimum. It made moving around the city a lot easier for the Tyrant.

     The sun was setting and the crowds were dissipating, an obvious note to retire any ‘social’ appointments and leave the city, resuming his individual work for the night.

     Ironically enough, the formerly abandoned complex was accompanied with various other desolated buildings and houses above ground, one of them housing the elevator to enter the facility. Although the location is normally empty, minus the small group of rebellious teenagers who come by often to engage in fights and other violent behavior, tonight rang different.

     He could see someone…different…in the distance. The man was much older than the usual children that loiter around once in awhile, and he didn’t resemble the image of a vagabond. He had a purpose. As Wesker silently approached, his theory was confirmed by the appearance of a car just a few ways off from the man’s location. Finally, he could not only gather an appearance, but an identity as well.

     Tch…it was inevitable. Darkness obscured much of the man’s face, but from his hair, he could easily tell it was that government agent. Kennedy, wasn’t it? Wesker kept tabs on him for a short while during the Spain incident and for a brief amount of time afterwards. He proved to be not only an effective agent, but also constant annoyance, and yet the two have never met, until now.

     If Kennedy was here, then it was obvious that Wesker’s steps weren’t as quiet as he hoped. He silently moved across the field and towards him. This first meeting would prove to be quiet interesting.

Eyes locked onto the man ahead of him, the presence he felt was strong, but it did no waiver his demeanor. Of the thing's he's been through before he doesn't see anyone as a super human, or a god. He looked at Wesker with intent, but not to kill, but simply to want answers. And if it came down to it, he would in fact engage him if it meant safety from bioterrorism.

He was always like this. Ever since the Spain incident, he noticed that things like these cults could rise from anywhere over the world. He didn't care where they were, he vowed to stop anything that could potentially destroy the world, and turn everything out of chaos. This is why he despised Umbrella, they wanted to input a regime based around that simple fact.

His eyes were glowing with a faint dark blue. The infection in him was reacting to something, he could feel it. He wasn't able to sense these things thought, he was only able to feel a persons life force. But this was different, it sensed something about the man in front of him, fast approaching.

He stopped a bit, gaining his own ground. Years of service taught him to always be prepared to fight, and to always be thinking about what the next move should be. He had smarts and knew how to use them.

"You must be Albert Wesker" he said with a stern voice, the voice of a seasoned savior. He looked at him thoroughly, looking around his body as he walked.
