“I can please you in more than one way.” BORUSARA
It feels like it's been forever since I've done one of these borusara requests! Haha, inspiration for this slapped me in the face out of nowhere so, yeah, enjoy!

Genre: Fluff
In more than one way
"Sarada, I promise you won't regret it!"
Boruto yells with confidence and Sarada wonders...why exactly were they having this kind of conversation in the ungodly hour of three in the morning.
"Hmm? What makes you so sure?" She questions, stirring the cup of coffee in front of her gently, eyes and bones burning with exhaustion. If not for the boy in front of her, she might have been in her comfy bed with warm covers cocooning her.
They were just back from an S-rank mission, traveling non stop for four days till they had finally reached the outskirts of Konoha. Unlike any good boyfriend would, Boruto Uzumaki thought that crashing in her apartment for the night was acceptable. His excuse was 'my home is far away and I'm too tired'.
Now they were in her kitchen, stripped of their anbu armours and protective pads, simply enjoying a cup of late night coffee. Like old days. But then she bit her lip, sighing, knowing that the current situation was nothing like old days when they were both young and stupidly reckless.
"Convince me." She smirks, blowing the top of her cup, onyx eyes gazing at him through the curtain of steam. "What makes you so sure that I won't regret it?"
He returns her smirk with one of his own as he takes a sip from his own cup. "I can please you in more than one way."
Sarada almost chokes on her coffee, wondering if she heard it wrong but the mischief twinkling in his eyes convinces her that he is as guilty as charged.
A game? Oh, it's on.
She dons a cute innocent look and raises one delicate eyebrow. "How so?"
And he immediately fumbles, a furious blush creeps upon his cheeks and she bites back a laugh at his flustered look.
"I-I make good coffee!"
Average. If she's honest.
"I can cook too!"
Not the best, but yes, his food is edible.
"I can sew!"
Oh, she's seen it. Messy at it's finest.
"I am...good at gardening?"
Nope. Any green thing he touches dies exactly in two days.
"I can write reports for you!"
She'd rather die than hand him hers.
The silence between them is deafening as Boruto racks his brain for more of his good points and Sarada is having the hardest time of her life trying to control her laughter but failing miserably.
"And?" She taunts, but this time, Boruto notices the upward quirk of her lips that she'd been attempting to suppress for so long.
Realising that she was toying with him, he wastes no second in grabbing the back of her chair and dragging her along with it to his side. She yelps at his sudden action and watches as the coffee splashes dangerously near the rim of the cup.
"Boruto!" She chides, but immediately shuts up at the predatory grin on his face.
He leans in, his face so close that she feels his hot breath on her lips.
"You know it, right? I am goddamn good at kissing!" He flaunts and she almost whispers out a 'liar' at his claim but knows, if she did then she'll be the one lying.
She licks her lips and Boruto takes that as her consent and presses his lips against her fervently. Moments later they separate and both of them are breathless messes.
"Sarada." Boruto calls out her name tenderly, and Sarada feels her heart skip a beat at the sincere affection glazing his blue eyes.
"Marry me, and I promise, I'll do my best to make you the happiest woman on earth."
Sarada laughs, her eyes misty with warmth and happiness flooding her entire being.
"I...accept. After all, nobody on this planet is as good as you in the art of pleasing me."
...
Wow, it really felt good writing some Borusara again! Hope you all enjoyed it!
"I like you a latte," for any ship you like 😁
Title: How Much Do You Like Me?
Genre: Fluff/Humor

Coffee Shop AU, duh.
...
It felt strange, standing in front of the Ninbucks branch that he worked in but didn’t need to go in. Boruto looked over his shoulder, seeing his colleagues behind the counter and giving him a thumbs-up sign. He looked away, a blush tinting his cheeks.
Finally. He finally got to the guts to ask Sarada out.
For what? Two years? Boruto had been making her the same cup of coffee, taking her occasional breakfast orders, and writing little notes on her cup on days wherein he felt particularly brave and cheeky. His colleagues have been insufferable, although they meant well, they always found ways to embarrass him in front of Sarada.
Which is why it was nothing short of a miracle that she actually said yes to go out with him.
And oh my god, she looked adorable wearing a pale blue sleeveless dress and a little white beret. “Hi. Have you been waiting long?”
Boruto smiled so wide it reached his eyes. He still couldn't believe it. “No, not at all. You look great.”
“Oh,” Sarada turned her gaze away, hiding the way her cheeks blushed. “Thank you. You look cute, too.”
Cute? Not the compliment he was going for but if it was coming from her, he would take it. “Thanks.” But of course, he had to be cheeky about it. “Cute, though? Really? Not handsome, or hot?”
This had her lifting a brow, but laughing lightly. “Neither.” She looked at him again, really looked at him, sweeping her gaze from his head to toe and back up, settling on his eyes. She leaned a little closer, making Boruto unconsciously lean back. It felt different, having no counter between them. “Your eyes are so blue.”
“Th-thanks...”
Sarada stood upright again, grinned, and then faced forward. “I know you told me we can do whatever I want, but I’m not sure if you’ll enjoy what I had planned.”
“I’m not that picky.” Boruto shrugged. “As long as we get to eat in Thunder Burger before we go, I’m good.”
Although she teased him for his tastes, he didn’t mind it. As long as he got to eat his favorite food with his favorite customer, Boruto wouldn’t complain.
Not until they stopped in front of another coffee shop. A non-Ninbucks one.
“I feel hurt, Sarada. Betrayed, even!” Boruto placed a hand over his heart. “How can you cheat on me like this?”
“You’re so silly.” She laughed and dug around her purse until she found two coupons. “I get free drinks here, and I thought you would want to get a cup with me, away from work. Well... Sort of.”
Boruto’s lower lip jutted out. This was a fancier coffee shop, and relatively new. One of those cool and hip places, and aesthetic, nowhere near how basic Ninbucks was. The atmosphere was a lot brighter, colorful, and quirky. Even the baristas were young, and although they also wore an apron, it was canvas and had something handwritten on it.
Have a brew-tiful day!
He rolled his eyes, but a smile formed on his lips. Coffee puns were wonderful.
“I’ll have a... you mocha me happy.” Sarada couldn’t help but giggle at the name of her drink.
“Mocha, huh? Even here?” Boruto smirked.
“I like comparing, so I can see if they can compare to my favorite one.”
“Oh, really?” Boruto raised a brow and scoffed. She better be talking about how he makes her coffee. Because if not, he was certain he would lose sleep over it and perhaps cry a little bit later.
“I’ll have a Deja-brew.” Boruto told the cashier, who happily punched in their order. Sarada also added a slice of cake to their order and brought out her coupons.
Seeing it was only for the drinks, Boruto paid for the cake and took their number. He let Sarada choose where she wanted to sit. He was happy she chose the couch but seeing as this was their first date, he kept a little distance, despite taking a seat next to her.
It was so hard to keep his eyes off her, but he behaved, and tried. Hard. His gaze wandered over to the coffee table before them, there were little notes under the glass and he read them out loud. “What did the coffee say to its date?”
“Hmm?” Sarada tore her gaze away from her phone.
“I like you a latte.” Boruto finished reading and grinned. “Hey that was a good--” he stopped mid-sentence when he saw how Sarada was looking at him. Her eyes were, lips slightly parted.
Oh. Oh no. Did she think that he...
“I--Sarada, that’s not--” Boruto had to explain. He couldn’t ruin this date, or his chances with her. No way!
“I... I like you a latte, too,” Sarada muttered.
Oh yes!
Boruto didn’t plan on telling her this way, but he was glad this quirky little coffee shop and his love for coffee puns were useful. At least, for this date.
All is well, though. Besides, what better words to espresso his feelings than a good coffee pun?
...
A/N: Thank you for reading! I hope reading this fic mocha you smile!

Propinquity - BoruSara
Title: Propinquity
Rating: T
Genre: Fluff / Romance
A/N: just a quick something I wrote on my break. :)
—
“It’s more than that,” Boruto pouted.
“You live with her.” Shikadai took a drag of his cigarette, taking a pause, he looked at his friend and blew the smoke out slowly. “It’s propinquity.”
“Stop pulling big words on me, bastard,” Boruto waved the smoke away from his face. “I’m done blaming it on that. I really do like her.”
Shikadai snickered. “Alright. If you want to confess, that’s on you. I’m just telling you, it might be awkward if she doesn’t feel the same. Imagine that kinda vibe. In your own home.”
Boruto’s jaw tensed. He hadn’t thought of that possibility.
“But hey, you already made out with her, and she didn’t kill you in your sleep. So I guess you’re in the clear.”
Heat flooded his cheeks and crawled all the way up to his ears. “Shut up.” It was nothing, he wanted to add but bit his tongue. It wasn’t nothing—at least—not to Boruto.
—
“Do you like me, Sarada?”
She blushed, eyes widening upon hearing his question. Her heart was thumping in her chest. “I... I like you, Boruto.” Her response was nothing but a whisper.
Even if, it was enough for Boruto to lean in and cup her cheek. “Me too,” he replied before locking their lips in a soft, yet heated kiss.

❀ A/N Shamelessly late Christmas story, happy new year yall.
During the day before Christmas, the village barely seemed like the calm place where he grew. Sure the new city had a lot of transients also on regular days but, even so, it could not be compared. Boruto learned it the worst way possible–being in the middle of the mess of people. Somehow the confusion made him feel better, just because he felt the reassurance that he was not the only one who left things for the last minute. He’d been bitting himself since the second he opened his eyelids that morning, when, while rummaging through the perfectly wrapped gifts he bought to his family, he noticed that one small detail was forgotten.
It was like her voice could be heard quietly in his brain and she was yelling at him. They never traded gifts before; they never spent the holidays together either. In a recent twist of plans–a twist that included dating for almost six months and many discussions with their parents–, their families decided to gather up in one big celebration. Disconsidering the part of the young couple that was frightened by all the things that could go wrong within four hours of those people under the same roof, Boruto and Sarada were surely excited to be together in such a romantic moment of the year. That if Boruto could just find her a last-minute gift that didn’t seem too last minute; otherwise, the yelling on his brain would be much louder in his ears.

The place where one’s strength is drawn from; where one feels at home; the place where you are your most authentic self.
“Have you heard?"
Normally, Sarada considered herself above doing undignified acts like eavesdropping, but right now, in this tea party she had no other work to do. Suffering from the epitome of boredom, Sarada’s ears picked up the talk of some daughters of some lower lords. And despite not wanting to, she found herself unable to tear away from their conversation.
"Prince Boruto! He’s coming back from the front lines. I’ve heard that the King and Queen are celebrating his arrival with a ball arranged in his honour!"
Of course. They would be talking about him.
Boruto Uzumaki, the son of King Naruto Uzumaki and Queen Hinata Uzumaki, the heir to the throne of the kingdom of Wind was returning back. After spending two years on the front lines, and four before for his education, trying to suppress violence and protect the citizens of the Alliance, he was coming back Home. Of course, a grand cause of celebration and joy for both - the common citizens and the royal family. One had their Prince coming back, and the other had their son returning home. And obviously, also a blessed occasion for power and prestige hungry lords who were desperately hatching plans to make the young crown prince marry one of their daughters.
Sarada sighed. It was a sad scenario for their society that everything around them was supposed to be about power, prestige and money. But unfortunately, as much as she loathed to admit it, she was a part of that vicious circle.
She remembered the wave of happiness that swept over her father’s court when the letter from King Naruto had arrived a week ago. As her father read the invitation himself, she had watched a tiny smile grace his lips. He passed over the letter to her mother and she too, could hardly hold her spirits and bright smile on her face spoke of her joy over the matter. Unaware of the contents of the letter, she had been inquisitive of it. The letter was then brought to her.
She admitted she had to read the letter twice before forcing herself to believe that this was true because the letter not only had King Naruto’s signature but also the royal insignia. The first half of the letter was the official information but the second part was written in a weird messy scrawl that she immediately recognized as the King’s. It read:
Dear bastard, I’m letting you know this information in advance because I want you, Sakura and Sarada here at least a week before Boruto returns. I won’t take no for an answer. The invitation to the ball will come a week later. Come as soon as you can, Sasuke. Hoping to see you soon!
Sarada understood the reason her parents were smiling. Both her father and King Naruto had been best friends since their childhoods. The two of them have seen the worst of each other but still remained together through the years of conflict and war, and their bond was one of the most heartwarming things that she had ever seen.
…
She was back from her low tea, responding to the letters that the citizens of the Fire kingdom had written to their dear crown princess when the news of the arrival of the invitation was conveyed to her. She rushed to her father’s chambers, only to find her parents laughing at something.
"Oh, Sarada!” Her mother exclaimed seeing her. “Come here!” The queen gestured for her to sit and her father immediately slid to a side to give her some space. As soon as she was seated, the invitation was thrust into her hands. And as King Naruto had promised, the invitation was for the Ball - arranged around a month later from the date. Below, there was personal note of invitation written by both King and Queen, inviting her parents to help arrange the festivity.
This is how two weeks later, Sarada found herself in premisses of the Wind Castle. The winter was in full swing and even though it was not as cold as her kingdom, but as namesake, the wind castle was windy. Sarada watched the tiny snowflakes dance around, the snow had just begun precipitating. They had arrived yesterday, with a large ensemblement of gifts and presents and were greeted by a warm welcome by the King and the Queen and their daughter - Princess Himawari. The ball was a matter of great importance, so all of the necessary tasks were divided among the supervision of all the royals present.
Her father and the King were busy sending invitations and scouting for the safety and security of their guests. With a ball this grand, it was obvious that all of the important people of The Great Alliance will be present. Her mother had taken the charge of decorations and arrangements, while the Queen was arranging for food and beverages and, she was tasked with boarding arrangements for the invitees.
The preparations were being made on a massive scale and it was pure coincidence when the queen walked with her party across the room that Sarada had been preparing.
“Princess Sarada?”
She called out. Her voice was soft, but held enough authority for the maids to bow and leave the room to give them privacy.
“Good morning, your majesty.”
Sarada courtesized to the Queen gracefully and the older woman smiled. “I’m honestly immensely grateful for your help. And undoubtedly,” she turned around to take a look of the entire room, “You are doing amazing.”
“Thank you for your kind words, majesty.”
Hinata nodded and sat on one of the large ornate chairs, and patted the space beside her in a gesture to make her sit. Who was she to deny the royal matriarch so Sarada took the place offered.
“I think we are above such formalities Sarada. I want you to understand that we see you as a part of our family and I want you to think of us the same way, child. So please, be as free and comfortable as you want.”
Sarada nodded, overwhelmed by the loving gestures of the Queen. If her mother was a bright and encouraging woman, the Queen was a kind, empathetic and loving person. They were vastly different in their codes of conduct, but both of them shined in their respective roles as the Queens of their respective Kingdoms. When Sarada thought about the kind of Queen she wished to become , these two women were her greatest inspirations.
And Sarada had to admit, having spent a lot of her childhood running through these halls, this place definitely felt like home.
…
The entire castle is thrust into chaos when the news of Prince’s arrival in a few hours is circulated. All the preparations are done haphazardly and the entire castle is ordered to assemble at the east entrance.
“Wasn’t he supposed to arrive tomorrow?” Sarada asked the maid helping her dress up.
“Yes, your highness, Prince Boruto was scheduled to arrive tomorrow. But the news of his arrival is absolutely true.” The maid replied, sorting out her skirts.
Sarada sighed and stared at her reflection in the mirror as the maids around her flitted, some of them dressing her and others plaiting her hair in an elegant braid. She noticed how sharp her face appeared and how taller she looked.
Would he notice too?

"I love you this big" *points to the sun* ❤
This is a belated birthday gift to my dearest Ana @borusawa! I’m so sorry that it got this late! I had half of this written for a while and completed the other half just now. Hope you like this, girl! Lots of love and best wishes to you!
How Much?
He watches her sifting through the books, flipping pages after pages, books after books. She stands there everyday, onyx eyes flicking through the numerous lanes of books and small hands picking up anything and everything that might interest her.
The library is huge but she always sits on the end of the hall, secluded from prying eyes and away from disturbance, in solace of her books.
Her favourite coffee is caramel macchiato and she likes it with sandwiches or chocolate pastry. She is fond of mystery genre but would often read history and science too. She could forget hours and sit here for entire length of days and even nights if not for any kind soul who would dare to approach her and disturb her concentration in an attempt to not let her get locked inside a massive library for the entire night.
He knows this because he watches her every day and has been…for a long while. It is a task ingrained in his routine as much as running to University is every day. He is not much of a reader but he could spend hours in this library just watching her.
And he’s doing that today too.
She is standing on the aisle just next to his seat, holding a book with brown hardcover and a general uninteresting vibe. But he is curious, because her eyes light up at the contents of the book and he has to bite down the urge to creep up on her and peek over her shoulder.
What was so interesting in a boring looking book like that when he, Uzumaki Boruto, was right here?
Apparently, his words somehow reach her because she suddenly whips her head in his direction and he gets caught red handed staring at her. He flushes a shade of brilliant red, and ducks his head down beneath the book he is holding.
He takes a few moments to compose himself before carefully peeking over the edge of the book but grows horrified when she is still standing there with arms crossed, watching him with a tiny smirk on her lips. He groans inwardly and ducks down again.
His face turns crimson as the silence of the library echoes the steps approaching him. He knows it is her because the rhythm of those steps is just her. Confident, dainty and powerful.
“You’ve been doing a lot of study today, hm?” She asks, sliding on the chair beside him.
“O-Of course!” He stutters, still glaring at the book.
“Yeah, sure Boruto. But I didn’t know you had the talent of reading stuff upside down. Quite a wonder, don’t you think? Since I’ve known you…like all our lives?” She is casual with her words but the teasing tilt in her voice was prominent enough.
He whips his head to look at her and then at the book with terror. Of course! That is why he couldn’t read a thing. And all this time he had been blaming her for making him dump his mind into a gutter. But then again, he hadn’t even realised that he was being stupid because she was here.
He hastily flips the book correctly, with his face burning scarlet and then moans, and buries himself deeper into the book he held.
“Arghhh. Am I that obvious?”
Sarada muffles the sound of her giggles by pressing the knuckles against her lips.
“Yes!”
He slams his head on the desk and immediately seizes, hoping that the librarian wouldn’t come here to shush them.
Sarada is still trying to hold back her laughter because yes, despite all, he is still adorable in his own weird way. But then he looks up, eyes bright and a flare of indignation lighting up his features. He looks determined, even with pink dusted upon his cheeks.
“Is something wrong with me wanting to appreciate my amazing girlfriend?”
His words make her stunned, she blinks, eyes wide and a deep red colour adorns her face. This time she groans a little inaudible moan of embarrassment and swivels her head to the other side at the smirk stretching across Boruto’s face.
“You’re annoying.” She harrumphs.
“Yeah, I love you too!” He replies.
She pouts cutely, face tinted pink and eyes still away.
“How much?"
Boruto blinks. He was not expecting her to reply something like that. Normally, she’d blush and look away till he’d annoy her enough to make her growl at him. Although there is always a first time for everything. If this was a game that she wanted to play, he would gladly go along with it. He racks his brain for a smart answer his eyes fall on the floor illuminated by the sunlight streaming through the window on their right. He smirks, pointing at the window, his finger raised towards the sun.
"I love you this big!"
Her gaze follows his finger and her eyes go wide and then a genuine smile lights up her features.
"Yeah, the sun produces around 1367 w/m2 per year. That’s quite a lot, I guess!"
"What the heck?!” Boruto laughs, extending his arm, he grabs her chair and pulls her beside him. “You’re such a nerd, Sarada!"
"Yes…” she whispers, leaning slightly into him, placing her hand over his, “But you still love me."
Boruto chuckles, skimming his lips over her forehead tenderly.
"And I’m not gonna stop anytime soon.”

He didn’t even realize he was doing it anymore.
Sarada got used to it quickly. It could vary a lot how he would do it too. If he was behind her, he would just run his fingers through it. If he was next to her, he would grab the tip of her hair and twist it on his finger. He could be annoyed, nervous, or simply bored. Somehow his fingers ended up on her hair.
And honestly? Sarada loved it.

Sickie - BoruSara
Rating: K+
Genre: Fluff/humor
A/N: Here’s a quickie, for a sickie. lol. They’re around 19 here!
Boruto stood there, biting his lower lip and fighting a severe case of giggles. The paper bags on his arms rustled as he vibrated ever so lightly, trying his best to hold in the laugh that was bound to explode. He did not want to laugh. No. He wanted to celebrate. To pop open a bottle of champagne before for the first time in forever, his girlfriend, Sarada Uchiha, had admitted defeat to sickness and called him for help.
She stood there, holding the door open for him, in her pajamas. Her long, dark hair was unkempt, and her glasses slightly askew. Boruto didn’t miss how red her nose looked as well.
“Christmas must have come early,” Boruto grinned. “Because for once in my life, my girl actually asked for my help.”
Sarada rolled her eyes but did not say anything. All she did was sniff and rub at her stuffy nose as she glared at her cocky-as-ever boyfriend.
“Have you seen Sarada, Rudolf?”
In the nick of time, he ducked a jab. “If you’re well enough to be that fast, you might not need me here, ya know?”
Sarada pulled him in, a frown on her face. She was already as sick as a dog and he was still making fun of her. He kept talking, saying how cute her pajamas and sour act was. “Boruto–” she stopped herself upon hearing how stuffy her voice sounded. She bit her lower lip and side-eyed him when all he did was chuckle at how she sounded. He was enjoying this far too much.
With an exasperated sigh, she sat down on the couch and crossed her arms across her chest. “If you’re going to be impossible, please just leave. I’ll manage.”
“No, no!” Boruto set the paper bags down on the center table and held his hands out in front of her. “I’m sorry,” that grin was still plastered on his face, “It’s just that… I’m so happy you called me. And that you voluntarily took a sick day today, ya know?” He crouched down in front of her and rested his hands on her knees. This time, he had a genuine smile on his face. “This is progress, a nice step into self-care.”
She gave him a skeptic look, but then sighed and pulled a blanket over her shoulders. “I know I’ll just be useless if I try to work when I’m sick. Plus, I don’t want to infect anyone else.”
Boruto stood up. “That’s the spirit. Besides, it’s not like the Hokage’s office is going to fall apart while you’re away.” Upon hearing his thoughts out loud, he stopped and did a double-take. “Actually, no, it might just–”
Sarada’s icy glare made him shut his mouth and pick up the bags. “I’ll go make you some tea. Why don’t you lie down, Sarada? I’ll take care of it.”
Her fingers came up to massage her temples and she took a deep breath. Even if he was teasing, she was still glad for his company. “Okay, I’ll be in my room.” She padded down the hall and stopped herself before disappearing from his view. She smiled and thanked him sincerely before leaving. The dust of pink on his cheeks when she did made her feel warm and fuzzy inside, and it wasn’t because of her rising fever.

“Boys night out!” Inojin cheered, as he raised a shot glass in the air. Shikadai, Boruto, and Mitsuki raised their shot glasses.
“Cheers!” They clinked their glasses and swallowed the liquid in one go.
Boruto cleared his throat and placed the shot glass down on the table, feeling the hot liquid trickle down his throat. His phone vibrated, and he pulled it out of his pocket. It was an instagram notification. He raised his brow and clicked on the banner and waited for his screen to load. The bar didn’t have very good reception, and usually, he would ignore his phone, but it was from Kagura. Boruto recalled commenting on one of his photos of Sarada.
His heart tightened. Initially, Boruto commented before he even saw the other photos. By the time he saw Sarada’s photo in bed, he nearly dropped his phone.
They couldn’t have. He thought.
When his screen finally loaded, he saw the message.
KaguraKaratachi: Dude. She initiated and loved it. I thought things were getting rocky between us, but I guess we just needed a little space to get back on track. Thank you for the help, too. Appreciate it, bro.
His world stopped. This was something no amount of alcohol could fix. . . . “He’s your friend!” Chocho whispered furiously. “Not saying he isn’t mine as well, but like!” She waved her hands towards Boruto. Slumped on the bar’s couch and refusing to get up or say a word. “Can’t you do something?”
“We tried carrying him,” Inojin shrugged a shoulder up. “But he’s being really difficult.”
“When is he ever not?” She rolled her eyes and looked at Boruto again. Mitsuki was sitting on the floor, poking at his cheek as he tried to get Boruto to respond to him. “He’s useless. Oh my god. I don’t even know why this has to happen.”
“Neither do we.” Shikadai sighed and rubbed the back of his neck. “It isn’t like Kagura to text something like that, too.”
Inojin scoffed and crossed his arms across his chest. “Yes, it is. Any jealous guy would. That dude has been trying to leave his mark all over Sarada so Boruto would leave her alone.”
Shikadai was about to say something, but Inojin stopped him. “If you’re going to say they’re just friends and Kagura has no reason to do what he did, you’re lying.”
He smirked and pulled out a pack of cigarettes from his back pocket and fished out a lighter. “Yeah, well, say it was justified and called for but come on,” Shikadai put a stick between his lips and lit the end as he spoke, “Was it really the right thing to do?”
“Only Boruto and Sarada are dumb enough to deny they’ve been in love with each other since they could crawl.” Inojin rolled his eyes. “Now look where it got them.”
Chocho rubbed her temples. “This is giving me a headache. Can we please just get him out of here so we can think of what to do next?”
“Have you tried calling Sarada?” Shikadai took a drag and blew smoke out, away from their direction.
“I have,” Chocho admitted, defeatedly. “She isn’t replying.”
Inojin waggled his eyebrows. “Then you know what those two are up to.” . . . Sarada stared at her phone in the dark, she had a number of missed calls from Chocho and Mitsuki. Inojin posted a story of Boruto slumped on the couch and Shikadai smoking in the back. She assumed they were calling to mess with her, so she didn’t bother answering. Besides, she was a little too… busy to attend to her phone when they called. She thought of calling back but thought against it. They were all probably still awake, it was 2am on a Saturday night, afterall. But what would they think she was up to at 2am?
Turning her phone off, she put it back on the side table and shifted to make herself comfortable. They didn’t have to know. Not right now, at least. She took a deep breath and pulled the blanket up a little higher to hide the bottom half of her face. She shivered, even if she wasn’t feeling cold.
“You okay?” Kagura asked, sleepily. The bed creaked under his weight and he draped an arm on her side and pulled her closer to him. “Feeling cold?”
She shook her head. Physically, she was fine. Emotionally? Conflicted as fuck. Did that count as feeling cold? Maybe she was being cold, to herself and her lover. Sarada curled up a little tighter, now removing his hold from her. It might be selfish of her, but right now, she just wanted to be comforted. The gravity of the situation and her tumultuous feelings were dawning on her and desperately needed something solid to hold onto.
There was someone who loved her and gave her everything she ever wanted, all the things she deserved. She was treated like a princess, much like how those romantic movies always portrayed how a girl should be treated. He’s handsome, smart and has a bright future ahead of him. What more could she ask for?
Sarada shut her eyes and tried her best to calm the raging storm in her heart, in the dead of night. Kagura was all she ever wanted in a partner. Perfect in every sense and ticked off all but one thing on her list.
He isn’t Boruto.
