Najenda: Don’t fraternize with this creature. I am still training him.
Tatsumi: But it's only the air manta!
Najenda: I was talking to the air manta.
Lubbock: I’m in love with you
Najenda: That’s a terrible idea
Lubbock: Yeah, I have a lot of those
“I live in a madhouse run by a tiny army that I made myself.”
— Najenda
Tatsumi: If you kill a killer, the number of killers in the world stays the same.
Akame, with a mouthful of takeout: Kill two.
Leone: Robbery is just an extreme manner of sharing.
Questions?
Tatsumi: So if some danger beasts meow as their default sound and others bark, among make other noises, what are humans default sound?
Leone: Screaming, like how you automatically AHH!
Mine: Other different breeds of danger beasts scream too, maybe it’s like a moan?
Lubbock: Why are you moaning?
Najenda: Questions ABOUT THE MISSION, DOES ANYONE HAVE QUESTIONS ABOUT THE MISSION?
“Look. If this works, it’ll keep us from getting caught. If it doesn’t, it’ll keep us from getting old.”
— Najenda, explaining her plan
Tatsumi: Our first year as a married couple and we're still in love.
Mine: In your face, those who said we couldn't last a year!
Chelsea: I stand by my wedding toast!
Lubbock:I'll love her forever, Tatsumi.
Tatsumi:You will?
Lubbock:Yes. That's the problem.
to think she actually died there…
Sleep well… Leone…
“If I had any single regret for the countless horrific events that have transpired in my wake… it’s that I’m dying.”

This
Najenda: So, let’s start by talking about the emotions you’re feeling right now.
Esdeath: Stabbing.
Najenda: *pauses* Stabbing isn’t really an emotion. It’s more of an activity that I hope you don’t do to me. See, an emotion is more of a feeling.
Esdeath: Well, maybe I feel stabby.
Najenda: Well, Leone, I have to say I'm really disappointed.
Leone: Well, you didn't HAVE to say it. You could've just thought it.
Airport security: Are you carrying any firearms or explosives?
Lubbock: *points at Najenda* you mean my bombass girl?
Najenda: I don’t know him.
Hot chocolate and goodnight kisses
A repeated cycle of a clicking sound ensued as a metal spoon hit against that of a rim of a glass mug, one with a small pattern on the side decorated in which a small frog was attached to the side, a gift from Najenda in which the most recent holiday ensued (that being Easter). It was most certainly a sweet thought, especially seeing as Najenda could only breach so far of that from the base without having to be careful of her every move. Meaning she had put herself at risk for something in which otherwise would be nothing but meaningless to the said woman. Najenda was never one for giving out gifts after all, it was memories what matters more to night raid’s leader after all. At such a thought Lubbock released the spoon, it still twirling around as the now warm milk and powdered chocolate mixed into that of one. He couldn’t help to smile as such occurred, his bare thumb stroking over the small printed on green spot. The warmth of the mug was most certainly welcome, the night air was cold after all, even while he was hidden away inside. The cold winds spilled throughout the halls as the cold stone floor sent shivers through Lubbock every time his bare feet hit the material. To think he had such a craving it was enough to wake him up in the middle of a slumber, enough so that it even sent him off to the kitchen so he may prepare the cup of chocolate.
The warm milk set away in the kettle was currently soothing its heat from the container, warming the air around it, such as the mug was doing as well. Meaning different spots of the kitchen was set to different temperatures, and yet still the warmest room in the base at the moment. Not even blankets could change such a fact that this was the place you should be if you wished for that of warmth. Meaning Lubbock was all too prepared for another to join him, enough so that he even stirred up another cup of the chocolate for another to step amongst the threshold of the said room. The marshmallows set in his cup also sat still on the counter (still in the bag) waiting for another to close it and set the bag to its original place. That being in one of the various cupboards painted over and hidden away in the shadows as Lubbock was relying on that of a few candle sticks spread about over the wooden counter to keep his surroundings alight. Lubbock pushed back his green bangs for a moment so he may have a better sight of that around him, his bangs unable to be held by his everyday worn goggles (such were nothing but decoration to the eye). Of course he merely did such do to the fact his sensors he has been ever so careful to bring to such a keen state had sensed that of another walking about, before that of his ears heard footsteps and his eyes caught anything in the dark that is. Of course this other could be a threat, but such was doubtful as cross tail kept from warning him of anything in such a regard. Meaning the other was a fellow assassin of night raid. Mhmn, assassin; the word was still new to his tongue when it came to refering to that of himself, let alone that of thinking such of fellow comrades. A harsh idea, yes, but this was a new world he stepped in for the sake of a better empire, and of course Najenda.
Lubbock’s set grin turned to that of a smile, one in which brightened even more at the thought of the woman who has stolen his heart in such a way. Which of course did not go unnoticed to the one walking towards him, unaware why he was smiling away to himself in such a way, and yet it still brought a smile upon her own lips. An odd idea, yes, but it was rare to see a smile from the boy as of late. Things have been a bit hectic in the most recent days after all, and yet Lubbock still tried his hardest to please her depsite his own feelings on the matter. From pick up lines to silly little actions of plight, putting himself at risk to pull a smile out of her despite everything that has been occurring around the two. Nonetheless Najenda stepped from the darkness, fully aware of Lubbock’s eyes being placed upon her as she showed herself to the light of burning away candles.
“Hello,” Najenda offered to the boy, attempting to move her right arm so she may wave to him in greeting, only for such an action to be fallen short as she was still all too unaware of how much she truly needs to process that of her now missing arm. A still all too new idea to the woman, knowing fully well it was doubtful the mechanic arm the revolutionary army is attempting to build can fall short of being accomplished all too easily. Meaning she would have to adapt, and quickly as well seeing as she has already meandered her way about three months in such a state.
Lubbock nodded in greeting, his smile slipped away to one of a false nature as he sees the bandage over her eye and that of the stump to her once present arm. Now even with such a fact Lubbock slid the other chocolate filled mug over the counter towards Najenda’s way. Clearly drawing a smile from the woman as she looked at the offered beverage with joy, happy to have been thought of, even if such wasn’t Lubbock’s intention. He was always one to pull such deeds after all, no matter if it was for her or another. At times it was Bulat, others it was Sheele, sometimes even Mine despite her treatment towards others, but most of all for her. Even when more members join this little group of her’s, this habit would be sure to follow, the same way as it followed from the imperial army to that of the revolutionary. Still, the open bag of marshmallows followed shortly after, along with the boy taking a few steps back so he may look about for a treat of some kind, knowing fully well the woman sharing the room with him was one to enjoy that of intense flavors, meaning once he pulled a bag of chocolate candies from another one of the multiple cupboards (sure to be that of Mine’s) he slipped the treat into the still ever so warm mug, enough so that the mug was still heated by that of the only just boiled milk. At such Najenda slipped a few marshmallows from the plastic bag only just moved to her side by the other, trickling a few in with the use of her left (and only) hand. Only to twirl the spoon held away in the mug about as she watches Lubbock, who was doing the same in turn. At such a meeting of their eyes, Najenda’s gaze fell back to that of her chocolate treat; worry strumming away inside of her, and yet she was still holding on so strong and unfaltering.
She had to be after all.
However such didn’t stop her from worrying away in her mind, and most of all Lubbock doing so as well. Of course there was the matter he wasn’t as affected by that of Najenda’s now gone parts of body, if anything he was merely worried at how she felt on such a subject. Lubbock still loved her the same, or if anything more. Which made this situation all that harder to bear seeing as it was all too clear Najenda was distancing herself from others; even if she didn’t mean to do such. Of course at such Lubbock moved ever so closer to her, moving his own frog painted mug along with him. The two fell short of all so close together, their shoulders were touching feet, along with hands from time to time as they reached out for their treats full of warmth and delight. The all so simple beverages calming the two down from events they both knew were sure to follow. And yet such wasn’t even in their minds at the moment, rather it was on the other in the room. Lubbock’s thoughts full of worry for Najenda, and Najenda’s full of doubt on the matter of Lubbock, hating herself for how she was only pulling him further into her world. First the revolutionary army, and now an assassination group. Still set Lubbock nudged his shoulder to that of Najenda’s, sure to do such while her hold was off that of the mug before her. This action pulled her from that of her mind set, causing a faint smile to cross her lips. To think she could ever doubt Lubbock’s loyalty. Meaning the boy’s intention followed through, she was pulled from her self doubting thoughts.
As soon as he noticed Najenda was back to the present situation he lifted the glass to his lips, taking in the liquid as he stared off to that of the not truly black wall, (the candles before and around the two not enough to keep such in sight).
“Man, we’re fucked,” fell past Lubbock’s lips before he even so much as thought to stop them. Of course he didn’t think much of the statement (it was true after all), but it did break though the quiet air they had created. Which was only further torn as Najenda couldn’t help but chuckle at his words, of course such wasn’t something Lubbock minded all too much filling the space between them. It was a sign she was healing after all, both mentally and physically. (It wasn’t long ago laughing caused a pain filled cry of her’s to show). Perhaps…? “I would call you mine, but that would be weird when our newest sniper is around.” At such Lubbock chuckled a little, following along with the laugh Najenda released at such. Yeah, it’s good to see her happy, even if it was due to some cheesy line. If that’s what it was?
At such they kept sipping away at the chocolate, the marshmallows long ago dissolved, but the sweet bricks of chocolate kept hitting against that of Najenda’s lips. Their smiles once again true as Lubbock twirled his metal spoon about that of the frog painted mug. The beverages were cooled down, yes, and the kettle was sure to be short of cold as this once again continued. One cheesy line after the next pointed towards Najenda, such even pushed the woman on to play this game as well. It was a rather amusing event, especially seeing as how long ago it has been since they joked around without another one around. Simply just the two of them, hot chocolate, and cheesy pickup lines. Taking another sip of chocolate Najenda raised her left hand up to her mouth, her left eye squeezing shut all the while. At such she bl(w)inked away her tiredness for merely a moment, her gaze falling over that of Lubbock as her purple drawn eye was slightly lidded. Of course such was noticed by Lubbock, with another sip to his last bit of chocolate left over he shook his head about in a gentle manner. Only to lay his hand to Najenda’s shoulder after doing such he merely guided her body a bit towards that of the kitchens door as he spoke. “Let’s get you off to bed now.” Pushing himself along the floor, along with that of Najenda’s body she let out a small snort, her tiredness finally sinking in at full force.
“Alright…” Najenda let her words trail off as another yawn interrupted her statement. A shiver racking up her body as she was off of the stool and on the cold stone floor. Of course at such she turned her way towards Lubbock, a smile upon her lips as she gazed her way back at him. Of course at such she turned around fully, pulling him into a half odd hearted hug with her left arm.
“Heh, goodnight Miss Najenda.” At such Najenda pulled herself away from that of Lubbock, his green hair set in her eye as he was almost a head shorter then her. That only made it a bit more difficult when it came to her slow moved actions, not to mention clumsy (enough so even Sheele would feel as if she was in place). Nonetheless, Najenda fell through with her actions. She left a small ever so sweet kiss upon that of Lubbock’s cheek, a wet mark along where she kissed to prove she had done such, to him of all people. If it wasn’t the time it was now, and of course Najenda wasn’t before him, Lubbock just might screen with pure and unadulterated joy. “Yeah. Good night, Lubbock.” Once her words were muttered away she lead herself out of the kitchen, leaving Lubbock to his own tidings. And of course Najenda off to bed. At such a sight Lubbock couldn’t help but smile away as her back was turned to him, with a small whisper to himself Lubbock finally said aloud, even if only to himself, “I love you, Miss Najenda.”
