I also hate when people bring up accessibility for disabled ppl to defend detergent pods. No one is taking your pods away--in fact, companies are pushing pods over their liquid and powder detergents.

This is also true of people bringing up accessibility for disabled people to defend single use plastics or to make anti-vegan or anti-urban arguments. Congratulations, you must be very proud of your revolutionary stance in favor of the status quo, which everyone agrees is great for disabled people.

Why is it that powder detergent is unpopular/increasingly difficult to find? I get that the pods/"paks" are more profitable, but regular liquid/gel detergent is still easily available and popular. Why is this not the case with powder?

The reason I can't stand how people toss around the word "nuance" is that, 9 times out of 10, they aren't contributing actual nuance because they aren't real participants in the conversation at hand and don't know enough about the conversation to contribute to it. So, they hear a snippet of a conversation that has been going on for longer than they've been paying attention, and of course that snippet is going to be overly simplistic, inflammatory, or what have you if you take it out of the context of the conversation it was within, and then our noble nuance enjoyer gets to chime in with information that's either irrelevant or redundant and act like the hero.
