Could you talk about moon conjunct rahu in rohini pada 2? and how is this any different from other naks because most astrologers talk about the conjunction but not about how the sign + nak makes it different

Moon conjunct Rahu

Moon is more of a personal point than Rahu, thus, Moon may feel this more strongly.

Because this is specifically in Rohini, the intrigue/attraction revealed around:

Beauty, sensuality, comfort

Physical presence + closeness

Feeling emotionally “fed” by being near them.

Pada 2 specifically being Taurus ruled - the attraction has more longevity to it. They want to settle into the person’s daily life and routines. More comfort, more indulgent driven urges.

Compared to Pada 1 where it would have been more impulsive and physically assertive. More quickly or boldly pursued and expressed.

SWATI vs ROHINI

This conjunction in other nakshatras like Swati would change outcome as in Swati, it would be less we are merging into one/consuming each other.

Rahu Rohini 7th House

You are at greater risk of being drawn into magnetic partners and being consumed by their world. Rather than partners being consumed into your world.

I saw someone pointing out about Matt Damon have always played the same role, which the character have travelled to foreign lands and eventually tried his hardest to get back to his homeland. He has played it in 4 different movies; Saving Private Ryan, The Martian, Interstellar and Odyssey.

AK Planet in 12th House - Soul Purpose is connected to foreign lands and isolation. For many of the films you listed he filmed in foreign land, spent a lot of time on screen and off screen separated/isolated.

The Martian - 8 weeks filming entirely solo.

Saving Private Ryan - Director intentionally kept him isolated from other actors to build a sense of real life resentment within the cast.

Interstellar - His character is found completely alone and his role was unknown to most even other actors until release.

2nd H RAHU in Shatabhisha 

This nakshatra can connect to isolation, vast and empty void spaces like the ocean or literal space.

This shows income is somehow connected to research, jobs with unconventional, foreign themes with a sense of isolation/outcast/lone voyager.

12th and 3rd house ruler Jupiter in 10th House

This shows foreign places/isolation, communication and travel would be connected to his career.

VEDIC ASTRO: Conjunctions in Natal

A conjunction is when two planets are 10 degrees or closer. The closer the conjunction the more the 2 planets influence each other.

The planet holding lowest degree will dominate the other planet.

This can be a problem if lower degree planet is a malefic dominating a benefic planet.

But the higher degree planet being exalted or in home sign can contradict this.

IRL EXAMPLE:

Mars conjunct Venus in 3rd House Libra

Mars at 23, Venus at 27 degrees

Mars at a lower degree dominates this Venus. Meaning Mars influences/controls what Venus represents and the houses it rules.

However, Mars in Libra and conjunct a home sign Venus + receiving aspect from Jupiter which prevents Mars from having the strength to damage Venus.

In this case, Venus rules 3rd and 10th House.

Mars rules 4th and 9th house. Thus, Mars is going to influence her siblings and authority figures and career.

OUTCOME: 

This woman chose her career (10th H) based off what her father and grandfather (9th H) had always said she was going to be since she was a toddler (childhood/family = 4th H)

9th H ruler conjunct 4th H ruler in 3rd house also shows she would remain living close to home. She did not leave the family or hometown to go to college. She plans to always remain close to her family home.

If Mars being a malefic had more strength like being placed in Cap, Aries or Scorpio and did not receive this Jupiter aspect, it may have been able to dominate this Venus in a harsher way.

For example: Venus ruling 3rd and 10th in conjunction with a stronger Mars may have damaged her sibling relationships or career/reputation. It may have caused disruption in her pursuing higher education.

However, this was simply not her life's purpose or karma. This mars still holding lowest degree was able to influence this Venus but not with maximum strength of a malefic.

Hey.. , not an usual question , but have you ever memorized any chart of someone, just because it was confusing/intriguing or straight up mysterious ?

For different reasons, I've been confused and awed by people's chart but not fully memorized.

Ones that come to mind recently…

example: MGK & Marriage

When I checked his chart on astroseek, I was confused why he had not married much earlier as a birth time of 9:00 puts a Taurus Venus in 1st house of D9 and no placements in D1 contradict this Venus.

But then I searched for the source and it turns out astroseek has the incorrect BT as default. He was not born at 9:00 but according to him 8:47 which makes more sense as then his D1 7th house lord enters 9th house with Ketu which can show a disinterest in marriage and/or delayed marriage.

Example 2: Nadine Rothschild & Wealth Via Marriage

This chart, I remember being surprised at such the good placements for wealth. She was a working class born girl who married Edmond (a banker) which completely transformed her life as he was insanely wealthy! The family is still worth billions today.

Her 7th house lord is an exalted, non retrograde Jupiter in 11th house.

Her 2nd house ruler is Taurus Venus in 9th house.

Her 8th house contains an exalted Sun.

These all together are such good placements for wealth through spouse. And many with good aspects, it was surprising to see.

What are indicators for an early death of parent?

EARLY PARENT DEATH:

Accuracy will depend on the ENTIRE chart.

- Retrograde 4th H or 9th H ruler.

- Malefics or debilitated or retrograde planets in 4th H or 9th H.

- 4th H or 9th H ruler in 6th, 8th or 12th H - harshly aspected - ex: conjunct a malefic + debilitated.

- Moon conjunct malefics or debilitated planets- ex: Moon conjunct Ketu or Rahu.

- Sun conjunct malefics or debilitated planets - ex: Sun conjunct Ketu or Rahu.

- Moon or Sun in 6th, 8th or 12th H - harshly placed.

Accuracy will depend on the ENTIRE chart. Dasha periods will activate certain placements.

IRL EXAMPLE:

EX:1 Paul McCartney - His mother died when he was 14.

His 4th H contains - Taurus Saturn, Retrograde Mercury.

His Moon is conjunct a debilitated Mars in 6th house - with Mars holding the lowest degree meaning Mars is dominating the conjunction.

During his mother’s death, he was in a Mercury dasha/Saturn bhukti period. Both, these planets are in his natal 4th H. The dasha & bhukti period activated this malefic placement.

Cause of Death: Complication occurred during surgery for her breast cancer surgery. He has Moon conjunct Mars in 6th H - Mars is associated with surgeries and accidents. Moon is associated with mother & breast. 6th H is associated with diseases.

EX.2: Person A - This person’s mom died when they were 2. Their father died when they were 7.

His 4th contains - Aqua Saturn in Retrograde.

His 9th house has a debilitated Mars. The 9th house ruler is Moon conjunct Ketu.

His Sun is debilitated in Libra 12th house.

During his Moon/Saturn period, his mom died.

During his Mars/Mars period, his father died.

This is not taking into consideration aspects, DK or D9.

However, it can help gain some key details on spouse meeting and early conversations that you can apply to your own chart!

7th H ruler in Shatbhisha - You and the spouse may connect over taboo or unique interests.

For example: 7th H ruler Jupiter in 6th H shatbhisha - This person met their spouse while at work (7th house ruler in 6th H = meeting while fulfilling an obligation/job/duty). Their first conversations were about their shared interest in horror films and collecting things like posters and dolls of those films - this is pretty unconventional for a first conversation.

Rahu 4th house from Moon - this indicates moving far from your birthplace. A home with unconventional dynamics and style - ex: mother is the breadwinner, divorced parents, etc.

Rahu 9th from Venus - You may get married in a foreign place or if the full chart indicates it to a foreign partner thus mixing culture/foreign elements in your marriage. Wedding may be unconventional too.

For example: Venus in Cap, Rahu Virgo - Canadian woman married in Las Vegas, unconventional too because no family present.

Rahu was in her 1st H of D9 showing an unconventional start to the marriage.

Moon in 12th H of D9 too showing the foundation of marriage was created abroad.

DK in 6th House - Your spouse is like a manager of your life. This also occurs in some people who have married their mangers/assistants.

Rahu and Ketu are not planets, thus, they essentially follow the lead of their ruling planet. Meaning Rahu lends its energy (obsessive, sudden, unconventional, taboo) to the ruling planet.

If the ruling planet is well-placed, some good karmic event may suddenly occur at some point in a person’s life.

If ruling planet is ill-placed, some negative event may suddenly occur at some point in a person’s life.

For example from my Spousal Homicide Post:

Rahu in Ashlesha/Cancer. Moon in 12th House.

Because Rahu is in Moon’s home sign, it lends its energy to Moon even without making direct aspects.

The Outcome:

This victim desired to travel (AK Moon 12th H + her 1st H ruler in Swati). Instead of taking the conventional/expected path of going off to college, she began to save money to travel. 

This is the positive of Rahu’s energy - she had an obsessive/focused urge to support her Moon’s dreams of travel rather than put them on hold for her education.

However, the negative side of this Rahu was once she (Moon) was travelling and isolated (12th House), the Cancer/Ashlesha Rahu activated too. Rahu is obsessive, Ashlesha is the clinging/coiling/suffocating nakshatra.

Thus, she was mentally and then literally suffocated in isolation by her partner in foreign land.

Note: Rahu alone could not kill her. Other indicators in the chart showed it would be worst case scenario when this Rahu activated. 

Without the other heavy malefic placements in her chart, Rahu could have simply created an outcome where she would be someone who frequently travelled, enjoyed being alone, enjoyed learning and experiencing foreign + unconventional life.

Spouse is usually knowledgable on things you are not - ex: culturally different thus know more on a ethnic group, or nationality or religion or even culture in arts or education.
