Hello and welcome to where I hyper fixate and post stuff about my au!

PolarisTale

An AU that is hanging between the bounds of a Creator’s ‘draft’ and a ‘published’ work.

In a multiverse where Creators have mostly left behind their old works for other projects, and truly new worlds aren’t a thing anymore, an appearance of a ‘new’ world catches the attention of Core Frisk.

Basically, Core Frisk is the “Frisk” of this strange universe and they’re exploring it along side any viewers.

I’ve decided to expand the AU a bit more past Papyrus since I’d like to share more about it aside from the friendly skeleton. So PolarisTale will not be about Papyrus/Checkpoint.

He’ll eventually get his own plot line and personal stuff going on in the background of PolarisTale but for now I’d like to flesh out the world he lives in.

They burn houses down

I made the original sketch (in my typical style for PolarisTale and other UT au’s) yesterday but did a somewhat more detailed sketch today. I usually try to keep PolarisTale closer to looking like the actual undertale characters then stylized but I couldn’t help myself this time.

Also here’s some sketches from my actual notebook as proof that I’m not getting distracted again. I’ve been thinking more of the actual structure of the world and what each characters are doing before I post more in digital

Don’t read it too much it’s not finalized and probably doesn’t make sense.

I DIDN’T POST THIS???? Uhhh so um I’m going to throw this on here so it’s on here. Just an art piece I did of emo boss man and Dream a like… 5 months ago. Uhhhh- I have a great memory guys swear.

Anyway I’ll post more on the au in like a second I just wanted to put this on here cause I like it.

Not related to my usual content but like how it feels getting into that one infected au and wanting to make your own infected versions of your oc but like then… you start theorizing? (The board is my crazy theorist thing)

Like genuinely I was legit just going to ask a question because I had an idea for Polaris and Checkpoint. But every time I started drafting up a question to send in as like a “hehe please answer so I get more information” I kept falling into really long question rambles kinda? Like

Or a few of the questions for the cast I was going to ask before it became like “okay this is too long”

“Is MTT (or I guess the general army) doing anything to try to stop the cure? They clearly know about it since it was in the story book Killer read. Have they done stuff to try to figure out how it’s made, like trying to kidnap someone trained for it or something?”

This just lead into questions about Dust for like some thought process I had I’m too lazy to explain

“I feel like a crazy theorist for asking this, but is the reason Killer and Horror insist Dust is a Fatal (when the character page says otherwise) relate to the cure? I would ask if Big Boss Man would turn Dust into a fatal (since Killer has multiple like injury things from being infected and it’s possible the fatal one, his soul, could’ve come elsewhere) and if he possibly doesn’t know, but that seems kinda odd cause Dust is one of the top dogs.”

Surprise! I’m back, 5 months later if anyone’s still here. (I got distracted by another hyper fixation let’s not talk about that)

I realized I never finished posting the designs I did? Which is crazy because they were all on the same like page thingy and there’s 19 of them. Like what?

I hope I remember to go into each of them in different posts but here’s them all in case I somehow forget again.

Pt.4

Lowkey forgot to post lately, it just slipped my memory ig?

Anyway, the ghost guys! Can you tell they were my favorite to draw?

They’re a bit more detailed than the rest but that’s just because I didn’t just want to add a star and for it. So I changed mettaton’s screen thing and gave Napstablook (did I spell that right?) headphones and droopy ends? Idk.

I just really wanted to draw mad dummy so he’s there.

I originally wasn’t going to include Mettaton’s EX form since he spends the majority of the game in his regular boxy one but then I drew a version of Mew Mew for this AU and thought “hey wouldn’t it be fun for Mettaton’s EX form to be based on them?”

Both Mew Mew and Mettaton’s EX form are just silly sketches, might add another finalized version at some point.

Mettaton, if I ever draw him in the future, will be hopefully drawn in his regular form because I think it needs more love.

Pt.3!

Here’s a better look at the Royals of PolarisTale.

Obviously not drawn to scale because I was focusing on just having fun designing them.

The last name “Tur” is Toriel’s since I thought it’d make sense for her to keep her last name, it’s totally a pun btw (Chara-Tur like character and Tur-Toriel if you switch her name around).

For Chara I wanted to keep them gender neutral looking since I didn’t want to perceive them as either a girl or guy.

Yes their hair is styled into little horns in the back. I thought it’d be cute. And they’re dressed more laid back since I feel like they’re the type of person to dress how they want unless for specific occasions

For Asriel, he shares a hair color with his father and horns with his mother. I actually don’t remember much of my thought process for his design.

Toriel is just supposed to look cozy but also fancy and her dress is supposed to somewhat resemble her Undertale robe thingys vaguely.

Asgore is just Asgore with different horns because I didn’t want Toriel and Asgore to give off total “siblings and/or dating” vibes.

(I’m just kinda throwing these out in an order that makes sense to me, not much on plot this post because reasons.)

Pt.2 PolarisTale stuff

Instead of meeting a Flowey or Toriel in the ruins, Core Frisk meets Asriel and Chara who take the place as Frisk’s tutorial.

By the end of Frisk’s journey through the ruins, the two informally adopt Frisk as their honorary younger sibling.

Asriel’s trying his best to teach Frisk fundamentals and Chara’s doing their best to mess with their brother.

Frisk is referred to as ‘the visitor’ instead of ‘the human’ due to a few reasons, but mostly because it’d be odd to call them that when Chara is one.

Pt.1 of me going more into PolarisTale

Where else to start than our favorite mc, Frisk!

Core Frisk, or just Frisk, takes the place of… well Frisk (aka the ‘fallen human’)!

It isn’t at all what they were expecting, but since PolarisTale is stuck somewhere between being a ‘draft’ and a ‘published’ AU, they’re not exactly able to see everywhere and end up creating a body at the very ‘start’ of the world.

Getting themself intertwined in the AU as the ‘fallen human’ character and deciding to just enjoy being treated as Frisk again while they can.

Due to their resemblance to the majority of ‘Shades’, embodiments of lingering emotions after ‘game overs’ from ‘players’ around the multiverse, some are skeptical of them while others are eager to get to know them!

Book shopping + some strange people

Idk what to say about this- the books are for Papyrus (Checkpoint)

Lowkey this is just me trying to do bigger scenes instead of just singular sketches. Plus getting used to the Papyrus Sans ratio and drawing sans’ more sans like? I guess.

(Swap and Dream are a bit too tall but uhhh let’s just say it’s their shoes chat, perspective is hard)

I’m still alive and I’m going to randomly drop a mer Swap design because I can.

It’s because I’ve read a few Leviathantale fics and just wanted to make my own version where swap’s the mc.

Not really into shipping I just think merpeople are awesome and so is Swap.

(The pictures are the same they’re just different in background color. The fish, a blue guppy, was my ref for my guy. No real reason why he’s a guppy I just thought it was pretty.)

Can’t wait to disappear for a month again.

If Papyrus in your AU is called "Checkpoint" does that mean he works like a SAVE point ? Also, can I have a beautiful picture of him with a masterful weapon ? Like a "stellar weapon" from the stars ?

Short answer- yes

Long answer-

My hand writing is iffy so here’s the summary:

Basically Checkpoint technically is a walking SAVE point. Though you can’t normally SAVE using him he can just make it so if you die around him you’ll respawn back next to him.

If any of his magic or any weapon kills you, you’ll just respawn back to where you started the day. In bed, on the couch, wherever.

You don’t go back in time whenever his abilities are used on you though, you simply just get teleported wherever and get your health back.

Depending on how used to it you are there are a few side effects, like dizziness, nausea, but always confusion to some degree.

So- kinda a Save?

Anyway- not really a beautiful picture but here’s the weapon thingy.

He’s always up to show off his cool and 100% awesome stuff to any willing participant!

Checkpoints first opponent is SAVE!Frisk by @myxo-gabriel

I couldn’t help but make quick sketches of these two because I find it so funny that they’re both based off of save points to some degree and ended up against each other.

I like to think they could get along.

Help this took longer than I was expecting.

An Undertale opening esk thing for my au. A prologue mayhaps? Anyway idk if this is that legible so here.

Once upon a time, there was a young creator.

Fascinated by the concept of timelines and multiverses, the young creator made their own world with pencil and pen.

With time, they improved their world step by step. Recruiting their favorite creation to help improve it.

But eventually, the creator hit a wall. Leaving them stuck, unsure what to do, and bored of their work.

And so, the creator turned to another source for ideas. Leaving one last creation in their departure:

A barrier of their own made to keep their creations from those able to travel universes.

It’s impossible to have an impenetrable barrier however. There’s always a weakness, and no matter how small

Someone will find a flaw and break in, intentionally or not. And with the creator gone, no one will be able to fix it.

My friend told me that Checkpoint might like stelline pasta because they’re star shaped and look kinda unfinished. And I just thought that was a really good idea. So I’m stealing it.
