       Her brow quirked at his little endearment, but rather than question it, she let it go. Damon seemed like the kind of guy who would naturally have nuances like that, the kind who naturally flirts. And Elena couldn’t question his ever word or move so she left it alone. “That is very true,” she hummed with little discernment as the different cuisines tumbled through her mind until she made a choice. “When in doubt, always choose Italian. It’s my favorite as I think I already stated. Do you have the fixins for cannolis? Whipped cream, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, the works?”

       If he didn’t, she’d just call the local Italian restaurant and order breakfast cannolis in a variety of flavors, but all light enough not to overwhelm their tastebuds so early in the morning. She tugged her shirt, fixing it with a smile as she waited and put her hand near her pocket in case she needed her phone. “Also… you’re not allergic to anything are you? Nuts, gluten, et cetera et cetera? Because I would need to be more careful in baking or ordering then as to what I use or put in.”

      "I doubt I don't have the makings for cannolis. I try to keep the fridge stocked at all times; you never know when various fruits and whipped cream will come in handy." A small smirk ventured onto his expression as he made his way over to the object of the conversation. He looked through the items in his fridge, moving things out of the way to pull out fruit and whipped cream, and whatever else she might need.

     "Technically, I'm not allergic to peppers, but they are very much disliked. That shouldn't be a problem, though, with our breakfast menu this morning." He tilted his head. "What about you? Any weird allergies I should know about in case of an emergency?"
