The exhibit was very kool but it was impossible to take photos and I didn’t want to take any chance of getting kicked out…….but omG I could’ve looked at Bowie’s sketches for hours not to mention his paintings like the one of Iggy Pop wowowowow. THere were so many costumes on display it was overwhelming. I was scared to get out my phone even to take notes I regret that I didn’t bring along a moleskine. THere was so much of his handwriting and I tried to a visual of ingrained in my mind even though I can look online but it’s not as amazing as standing a few feet away from his handwritten notes and lyrics. I took the last photo right before I had to leave the museum to catch my evening train but the shadows were incredible it was trippY.
ALSO ALSO I am so content that I went on opening day because I spotted a guy dressed as Jareth and a child as Aladdin Sane and a woman hysterical over viewing the Pierrot costume in person and exchanging smiles with others who were freaking out it was so lovely and there were lots of old folks as well like WE ARE GATHERED HERE TODAY TO CELEBRATE THIS ALIEN GENIUS!!!!!!!!!!
