Yesterday (September 27, 2016), Montreal’s city council officially passed a by-law targeting specific dog breeds (mostly pit bulls, but also bully-type breeds AND any dog that has pit bull-like features). This decision was poorly made and will without a doubt be poorly executed.
Montreal’s SPCA has already filed legal action against the city because such a law goes against Quebec’s animal welfare laws. In addition, they created this super informative site with facts on dog bites, why breed-specific legislations never work, and even suggestions on how to actually make everyone in a community feel safe.
Please take the time out of your day to sign the petition found on this website. Your support means the world to the SPCA and Montrealers who have pit bulls (myself included).
personal comic about being sad
A brilliant metaphor
6. Cycle lanes are built just for you, and then the cars drive in those too.
7. And you can’t go out at night because cars will run right over you.
8. You better watch out for the drunk ones
9. Even if you DO use the cycle lane because it is “Safer for you” A lot of times there are obstacles and other things in the way to make it more difficult to navigate.
It’s tradition at this point.

hi, i made a shitty demo, it’s like really short and bad but it’s something i haven’t done for myself in a long time. i’m moving out of this house ive lived in for a long time and all these songs were written here, while living as a trans person and suffering from major depression and drug addiction. this house and the people passing thru it have kept me alive while going thru hell and this demo is dedicated to all that shit and folks i love.
Thank god
Steal of a deal

why would you ever idolize cops when firefighters exist
yeah seriously have you ever heard of “corrupt firefighter”
what would a ‘corrupt firefighter’ even be. he put out that fire with a little TOO much water. he was a little rough with the cat he rescued from a tree for a little old lady
how on earth do you possibly fuck up that bad
fight fire with fire

How do you accept all of the time you have lost due to mental illness? I'm just coming into recovery and I just feel so sad that I missed so much of my life
Oh you know what it is so bloody sad?! It takes so much away from you and that’s shit there is no way around that. I do see it as a grieving process; both for the experiences and enjoyment your illness deprived you of and then possibly (but not necessarily) for the identity your illness may have provided you with. And I don’t think enough credence is given to this horrible “no man’s land” between being very ill and getting a little better. You are no longer in the throes, but it’s like the dust settling and you’re just there looking at the wreckage thinking ‘WELL ISN’T THIS A DELIGHT, YES. MMHMM. I AM GOING..TO SIT DOWN AND CRY. WHERE THE HELL. IS THE JAM’ and so on
And it’s during that time you feel the grief of what you have lost hardest because you’ve been fighting this ferocious battle to get better and now, suddenly, you have all this empty space waiting to be filled. Sloooowly slowly it will start to be filled up with life and experiences and people and things and all the great and weird shit that’s going to happen now you are a bit more well. And that is GOOD. Once that does happen it becomes easier to accept what you’ve lost because you’ve got new and different life material to displace the agony with. But it’s very slow, veery slow. And before any of that’s happened it IS very painful carrying all that grief about. It so is and I have so been there. But it will not be this painfully sad forever and time is relative, so the further away you move from being unwell the smaller portion of your life it becomes. That is good to remember I think.
Ultimately, you cannot live in terms of things you are not or things that did not or things that might have if.. because that’s a bit of a toxic existence. It’ll eat you up. You have lost time. It is awful. Grieving and processing what has happened emotionally is important, so allow yourself that. But try and go from where you are now; you are in a stronger position to do living and to do it how you wanna! That is so fucking cool. Well done you for getting here. Hang on.
