Art I did for day 16 of @halfusek ‘s the Ink deMonth “Swap”

In which Joey has to rescue an old friend...

(I actually had a lot more ideas for this sort-of swap au thing but I’ll keep it under read more in case no one wants to bother with it)

So I'm sure there is already a lot of aus where Henry takes over the studio and Joey drew gets the letter instead, but this au isn't that either. 

Joey Drew goes after his friend Henry to save him and has to go through everything Henry experienced but through the eyes of someone who knows. Not to mention people remembering him.

Story-wise, not sure if Sammy would recognize Joey or not. During their first meeting, he may not recognize them but after the first one when Sammy has been abandoned he may call unto Joey to be his new prophet as Joey was the original creator of the “False Prophet”. 

Alice would recognize him, and be very spiteful and angry. And do her best to get him killed outright. But when he wasn't in danger she would taunt him but also ask questions she felt she needed answers to.

“Joey... Why are we here?”

Game-wise stuff, Joey would move at the same pace Henry would walking but be a little slower running and uses a cane at all times. Should he lose his cane his movement speed would be slowed and would want to hug walls. To make up for his slower run he can stagger enemies with his cane by whacking them. 

He’d comment on alot of things different, Henry had no clue what he was looking at for alot of things but Joey would either sadly comment on the past or regretfully comment on the present and of what hes done. 

“Just a pencil and a dream... How did our dream turn into a nightmare Henry?”

[Hey! I’ve always been inspired by @halfusek ‘s batim comics and artwork, and figured i’d try doing a short comic myself. This is part one! It won’t be half as long as Halfs abomination series as im just telling a little story from the studio my au takes place in. Although I hope to do longer comics for my batim au in future, I know that’ll take time and practice so smaller ones are good practice.]

Meep: Well, Joey was always pretty nice and he laughed at all my jokes. So I guess I miss the old Joey. Bertrum was super smart and would let me see his inventions. Wally was pretty cool too, we'd make jokes and banter sometimes. I never really had anyone "Special" in my life, even before I was inked. My scars made my face less likeable back in the day, and now everyone here doesn't really have time for thinking about relationships or is really crazy.

((Honestly if my Joey met Halfuseks they’d just end up wanting to take care of him like “No no your murdering all wrong, and look at how badly your taking care of yourself let me fix you up” because hes just that good of a mix of friendly guy and physco murderer))

( I hard a hard time with Halfuseks Joey because I couldn’t find any art of him fully colored that was made by the artist, so I had to just come up with my own colors. I also made him look super unhealthy cause GOD that boy does not take care of himself. I also tried to keep his squarish style with his hands and shoulders.)

(Its a shame I couldn’t keep Jekyll’s joeys charm, I just can’t pull that off yet. and Celinas ended up looking kind of childish in the sketch. I also gave Jekylls Joey a puppet cross in the alternate version since hes so manipulative.

Meep: I'm pretty lucky actually, I have alot of my old memories. Well... mostly of the ones that took place in the studio. This place does that to you I guess.... But I remember alot of things. But I guess my last really clear memory was Joey trying to give my character "life". If only I had known what he really meant at the time.

Meep: I ran into Alice once after… an incident with Sammy. I was pretty out of it and injured but she helped me through it. She offered to let me stay with her and her friend but… I just wanted to be alone. I’ve seen her more since Henry came back. She's really nice.
