Who am I?

Boy Anderson, 19 yr. Ellen Baxter, 18 yr. Carrie McHoliday, 6 yr. "Our father who art in heaven, hallow be thy name, thy kingdom, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven. Amen."

Boy holds out a homemade flyer to people passing her. “God is watching your every move! I am holding a bible study session on Sundays! I think if we get enough people together we’d be able to let the therapists have off on the Sabbath day! God is alive!” She announces to the room...

"It's fine," She stands straighter. "Yes to all of those questions." She tells him with a hint of snootiness. Boy held out a flier to him. "Surely you'd attend under your current circumstances and utter confusion. It's not your fault, really. We can hold a session for you special!" She smiles innocently, pushing the flier into his hand. "Hopefully you make a good choice!"

"You have a chance to repent! Come on!" Suddenly, someone knocks into the table with her piles of fliers. "Hey!"

"I, uh…" The girl quickly looked to her feet. Yes. She got the text messages. Well, the few before she blocked the girl’s number. The redhead flinched a little at the girl’s touch but let her pin the flower in her hair. For some reason, she was pained to have to say these hurtful words to Boy. "Boy, you lied to me.." Nat’s voice was wavering with emotion.

Boy bit her lip as she finished pinning it into the girl's scarlet locks. Still smiling, she inspected the flower as she replied. "Lied?" Boy laughed a bit thinking it was a game. "Okay, you got me! I never had pop rocks candy!" Boy giggled and took her friend's hand. She was only ever comfortable with interaction with Natalie, especially after their night of one long hug and many emotions. Tugging her hand, she lead Natalie to the table where she was folding papers. "I thought you would be good at these!" She pointed to the book. "I'm trying to make a swan... can you help?"

"Oh."  Jayce’s frown deepened as he stared at the ground.  "We’ll figure out something.  Like…you don’t seem like the type to wear bright lip stick.  Mom went through a phase…this bright red.  What if you carried a thing around with you and she could wear it?"

Boy hummed in thought as they walked. "I have this necklace I lock away because she always wants to wear it... it's got a little tree of life on it. " She looks at Jayce and smiles. "Good idea!"

"Oh! Sorry!" The girl noticed who it was and then quickly looked to the floor. "I mean.. I.." She silenced herself.

"Natalie!" She smiled and went around the table to her friend. "I've been looking for you! Did you get my texts?!" Boy holds out a sloppy looking origami flower. "Here!" She giggles, taking a bobby pin out of her own hair. Boy took a lock of the girl's red hair and and started pinning the flower in.

"Too bad she doesn’t like…dress different.  Like…your closet should hold clothes for her so that way when people see you, they’re all oh yeah!  That’s Boy.  But other clothes?  They’d know and leave you alone.  Or at least..that’s how it should be.  But people aren’t always good at leaving others alone."  Jayce mumbled, sending her a small smile.

"We've tried that..." She sighs, shaking her head. "The problem is that she comes out at the move inconvenient times." Boy explains, holding her books to her chest. "And because of that, she destroys my clothes because she doesn't have the time to change. All my best Sunday dresses are cut up and ruined."

Suddenly he smiled, looking hopeful.  “Yeah?  Sure…yeah, okay.  Let’s go.”  Jayce stood quickly and waited for her before leading the way.  “I’m sorry guys keep bothering you.  They’re idiots.”

Boy stood with her and smiled as she walked along side him. "It's not really their fault... they think I'm Ellen..." She says, admiring another patient's hair as they walked by. "How pretty that girl's curls are..." She whispers, giving the other girl a wave only to receive a nasty look. Boy frowned and quickly looked down at her feet.

Boy hums a song to herself as her fingers work to sloppily fold the paper and she glances to pictures in a book titled Origami. She has a small smile on her pink lips until someone hits the table and knocks her orange juice all over her work. "H-hey!"

“No don’t,” she practically whined. She didn’t want him to feel bad. “I can go.” Boy nodded. She could always just scream, right? Nothing wrong with trying.

"You don’t have to.  I just thought it might be nice to get away…especially from them." He mumbled.  "That’s all.  But we don’t have to.  Please don’t do something you don’t want to do.  It’s okay to tell me to go away."

"No, really," She nodded. "I agree. Let's go. Please? I'd like to."

Boy opened her eyes. “I don’t know…” She had no idea if Jayce was lying to her. She didn’t want him to lead her outside where no one could see and try something.

Nodding he stared at the table. “Right.  Sorry.” Of course she didn’t want to go outside with him.  No one ever really wanted to hang out with him…he could hear his step father telling him.  “I’ll go, l-leave you alone.”

"No don't," she practically whined. She didn't want him to feel bad. "I can go." Boy nodded. She could always just scream, right? Nothing wrong with trying.

She looked up at him, picking her head up. “I don’t care…” she says, closing her eyes so she couldn’t see the boys behind Jayce that stared at her. Why did Ellen want this? Why did she develope so much attention? Boy put her head back down and pulled her books to her chest.

"W-we could go outside?" He offered softly, almost afraid to ask. "Get away from them."

His eyes widened and immediately he pulled his hand back. "I'm sorry. Please don't be mad. I didn't know. I won't forget. I promise." A little bit of panic filled his dark eyes. That panic increased as he watched the other boy. Even at the risk of getting hit, he spoke up. "S-she doesn't like that. Don't. Please."

The boy snickered and kept walking. Boy laid her head on the table. "It's okay, Jayce..." she says quietly. "I... am used to that kind of stuff. Ellen is very... she likes boy's attention." She left her statment at that.

"Why are they bothering you?" Jayce’s brow furrowed as he frowned. "That’s…you don’t deserve to be harassed. I…I’m sorry." Shaking his head, he slowly reached out his hand, palm up.

Boy glanced up at him then down at his hand. Was she supposed to take that? Yes. "Oh uhm," She shook her head. "I don't... do the... touching thing... I'm sorry." She rubbed her thigh with her sweaty hand and jumped when a boy walked by and trailed his finger along her back. "A..." She turned red and stiffened in her seat.

“Maybe I should be…” she shakes ger gead, looking at the black journal in her hand.

"Oh." Jayce went quiet for a moment before smiling, "Besides that…how are you?"

"Im okay... getting harrassed by a few boys... nothing out of the ordinary..." she says, looking past Jayce to a boy that winked at her. Boy furrowed her brow and looked down at the table.

“You’re dating now?!” She smiled. “She didn’t tell me that!”

"Oh.. Yeah…" He ran his hand through his hair as a smile formed on his face. "Since Christmas Eve."

"Well... when you see her next... let her know Id like to see her, please?"

“Yes…” she says slowly. “Have you seen Natalie? I feel like she’s been avoiding me…”

"Yeah, I’ve seen her. Dating appears to involve spending a lot of time together. I mean, I’m fine with that it’s just so new and.. I’m doing the rambling thing again." He took a deep breath to calm down. "You think she’s avoiding you?"

"You're dating now?!" She smiled. "She didn't tell me that!"
