Hi! My name is Tom, AKA Boy Without A Crown. I am an amateur lyricist and here is where I'll be posting my own original lyrics - perhaps one day they may even become full songs! Who knows!

I mainly write with the pop-punk genre in mind, but do veer occasionally into metalcore, hard rock, and some other genres 🤘

I think what the pop-punk scene is missing is a true Bisexual Loser Anthem

The Results Are In!

I put up a poll asking folks to pick one of my original songs for me to post, based on a single lyric from that song. It was close between three but the ultimate winner is 'Weird To Be Normal (Normal To Be Weird)' a song about celebrating nonconformity.

The primary inspiration for this one was All Time Low, specifically from their Nothing Personal/Dirty Work era. Without further ado, here it is:

So what's this blog all about? What is "Boy Without A Crown?"

Well I love writing lyrics and always have done, and I've been wanting to find a way to share/do something more with my lyricism for ages — and frankly the overwhelming positive response to Colour Of The Sky has really given my that extra burst of motivation and confidence to actually do it!

'Boy Without A Crown' will be my pen-name/moniker as a lyricist and I'm gonna be sharing a lot more of my lyrics on here, plus some of them I may even try and get made into proper songs!!! — In fact I've even started work on composing a backing track for Colour Of The Sky, so hopefully I'll be able to share that in time!

If people wanna hang around and see where this goes and generally chat about lyricism/songwriting, then that's be super cool, especially if you've come over from my music blog!!

As I said, this is something I've been wanting to do for a while and I'm excited to take this step on the journey! Hopefully some folks'll like coming on this journey with me! <3
