🔪 Stuck at desk work, no matter what he was doing in here he always ended up falling asleep. But he doesn’t have to be able to hear to notice the giant suit of armor that soon makes it’s way through the halls. He wouldn’t be in the military if his lack of hearing got in the way. He peeks an eye open, sluggishly pulling himself off of a slouched position, his back straightening out some. His head soon rests on one of his palms, letting out a yawn as the boy makes his way over. As soon as he’s close, Emil directs him at a written sign. It’s useful for the past others that came by today.

‘ oh , i see . ‘ he hums through a sigh . he does not mind much ; even if they had been in they would all still have to wait for ed to come back from the library before their report could be discussed on record . instead he takes in the peace of the practically empty office as the note is gingerly returned to the other’s desk , mannerisms awkwardly mismatched with the imposing appearance of the colossal armor . a silent moment passes before he startles , realizing the opportunity to demonstrate the basic ( but hastily improving ) results of long nights spent practicing since their last meeting . the gestures are slow , but deliberate : he’s hesitant to going too fast with the risk of getting disoriented but he is confident in that he’s remembering it correctly . ‘ i have been practicing . ‘ he signs , armor shifting as he rolls upon his heel with satisfaction as the slow gesture is completed without major errors , ‘ i want to learn . ‘
