Hey! On this blog I'd like to post boyf-riend oneshots. If you have any ideas or submissions, feel free to let me know! I'm not the best writer but this is a way for me to improve my writing. I've never written smut, but I'm always ready for a challenge lol. I'm always in for angsty stuff!
Have you ever thought about a phanfiction in the setting of the musical Be More Chill? No? Well I did so I decided to make one! (if you did actually think of that then of course that didn't apply to you lmao)
This is basically the story of Be More Chill but with Phil as Jeremy Heere and Dan as Michael Mell. I also changed the names of the other characters because I do wanna try to give my own spin to it. If you don't know Be More Chill: it's about a boy who wants to be cool and basically fucks everything up trying to be cool with the help of a SQUIP (a computer but inside your head, inserted with a pill). It's an amazing musical and if you like them, I highly recommend listening to it!
I do want to make this my own thing, but of course I didn't come up with the main ideas behind it soooo: credits to the amazing Ned Vizzini, Joe Tracz and Joe Iconis!
This one-shot is dedicated to @joshua-flipping-washington, who came up with the idea! Thank you! ^-^
Title: Momfriend
Word count: 741
Characters: Jeremy Heere, Michael Mell & a teacher (only for like one minute though)
Trigger warning: minor injury, small mention of blood
Summary: Jeremy gets a small injury while playing catch. Michael however thinks it’s much worse.
Jeremy waited anxiously outside of the shed where school kept their play equipment for during lunch break. When the ball rang, every kid ran towards the shed to get the best things. These were mostly soccer balls and since their school only had a few of them, it was a big deal to try to get one.
Then Jeremy saw a bit of red between the many ten year old children and his best friend Michael made his way to him. He triumphantly held one of the soccer balls above his head and threw it at Jeremy, who caught it just in time.
‘You got one!’ Jeremy said with a big smile.
‘I might have stepped on someone’s toe.’ Michael said, walking next to Jeremy to their favorite spot.
‘Accidentally?’
‘Maybe.’
Jeremy laughed and Michael joined him.
When they reached their spot, Jeremy threw the ball at Michael, who caught it with skill.
They passed the ball for a few minutes, Jeremy having a hard time catching it. After he accidentally dropped it for the fifteenth time, he sighed and looked at Michael.
‘How are you so good at this?’
Michael shrugged. ‘My dad and I often play catch.’
‘Can you teach me?’ Jeremy asked, looking at the ball in his hands.
‘Sure! Give me the ball.’
Jeremy did what he was told.
‘Okay, remember to keep your eyes on the ball!’ Michael said. Jeremy nodded and already held his hands in front of him.
‘Three, two, one… Catch!’ Michael threw the ball and Jeremy’s eyes followed it. He took a step back, but what he didn’t see was the ball that other children were playing with, which was lying behind him.
‘Jeremy!’ He heard Michael yell, but he was already lying on the ground.
The ball that Michael threw, bumped into the wall and rolled away. Michael wasn’t paying attention to the ball though.
‘Jeremy are you okay?!’ He screamed, while running towards his best friend, who was sitting up straight now.
Michael fell on his knees and looked at Jeremy with big, worried eyes.
‘Are you okay?!’ He yelled again.
‘I’m fine, just a scratch.’ Jeremy showed his knee. There indeed was a scratch with a tiny bit of blood.
He expected his friend to be relieved, but instead Michaels’ jaw dropped.
‘JEREMY YOU’RE BLEEDING! YOU’RE DYING!’ He yelled practically across the whole schoolyard.
Jeremy noticed a few children staring at them and he felt his cheeks burn.
‘Michael, I’m not dying! It doesn’t hurt, really!’
Michael stood up, still looking worried.
‘I’m getting the teacher, stay here and don’t move!’
Before Jeremy could say something, he was already running towards the teacher who was standing outside. Jeremy saw Michael making big movements with his arms and the teacher looked in Jeremys’ direction. Then they both started walking towards him, well, Michael ran.
He fell down on his knees again and quickly pushed his glasses back.
‘Here, miss!’ Michael said when the teacher arrived a few seconds later, pointing at the scratch on Jeremys’ knee.
Her eyebrows shot up. ‘Michael, you made it sound like Jeremy had a major injury!’
Michael looked at the teacher in surprise.
‘H-he.. He has! Look! We need to go to the hospital!’
He pointed at the scratch again, before looking at Jeremy who was finding the situation a bit awkward but funny.
The teacher smiled.
‘Jeremy doesn’t need a hospital, Michael. This will be fixed in a few seconds.’
She opened the little box she took with her and took a plaster out of it. She carefully placed it on Jeremys’ scratch, under a lot of ‘watch out!’-s from Michael, who was observing every movement precisely.
‘There you go. Look out with where you walk the next time!’ She smiled at the two boys, before getting up and walking back to the spot where she was standing before.
Michael immediately turned back to Jeremy, who was looking at the colorful plaster.
‘Are you okay?’ He asked nervously.
Jeremy looked up and grinned. ‘Super-okay!’
Michael slowly smiled back at him, before looking worried again. ‘But you really don’t need to go to the hospital?’
Jeremy stood up and moved his injured leg. ‘Nope!’
Michael looked at the knee. ‘I really thought you were going to die.’ He mumbled.
Jeremy laughed and punched Michael gently in his arm. ‘You’re weird!’
‘Weird?’
‘Yeah! But that’s okay.’ Jeremy threw his arms around Michaels’ shoulders.
- AU where the boys are younger and Jeremy gets a small injury. Michael however thinks it’s much worse (idea by @joshua-flipping-washington , thank you! ^-^ Btw I accidentally replied to you with my main blog, sorry)
Another oneshot! This one is based on a tweet I saw from George, where he replied to someone asking him if they should quit school or not. I hope you’ll enjoy! ^-^
(Requests for oneshots are welcome!)
Title: Our journey
Word count: 374
Characters: Jeremy Heere and Michael Mell
Trigger warnings: kinda a life crisis about the future, but not too graphic.
Summary: Jeremy is having a hard time thinking about the future, luckily his boyfriend is there for him.
Jeremy lied in Michaels’ arms on his bed, his own arm wrapped around Michael. He felt his boyfriends’ chest rise and fall. That would always calm Jeremy down, but not this time.
He let out a sigh and closed his eyes. He felt Michael tightening his arm around Jeremy.
‘What’s up, Jere?’ He asked, looking at the boy whose head was lying on his chest.
Jeremy sighed again and opened his eyes, looking at the beanbags that were lying on the ground.
‘Should I just, quit school and, I dunno, work at target or something… or finish school?’
It stayed silent and Jeremy looked up at Michael, who was already looking at him.
‘I think you already know the answer to that, Jeremy.’
Jeremy lied his head down again. He knew Michael was right, he did know the answer, but the anxiety when he thinks of the future just didn’t go away.
‘But what if it won’t work out, you know? What if I never get my diploma or a job or all those other things most adult have.’
He felt a knot form in his stomach. Jeremy really was afraid of the future.
‘Hey..’ Michael mumbled, changing his position so he was sitting instead of lying. Jeremy opened his mouth to complain, but Michael sat Jeremy down on his lap and let his head lean on his shoulder. He wrapped his arms around the skinny boy and watched Jeremy close his eyes, fully leaning into Michael.
‘You’ll get there, I know you will. Probably everyone who’s an adult now, has felt the same way as you do now. And I’ll be standing next to you, with every step you take. We’re doing this together, okay? Please look at me.’
He lifted Jeremy’s head with his pointer finger and looked into his eyes, in which tears where forming.
‘This is our journey.’
A tear escaped from Jeremy’s eye and Michael wiped it away gently, kissing Jeremy’s cheek where the tear was visible just a few seconds ago.
Jeremy looked at his boyfriend, before leaning in and connecting his lips with Michaels’. He felt Michael smile. When he pulled back, Jeremy lied his head down on Michaels’ shoulder, closing his eyes.
A short oneshot because I was bored and wanted to write something. If you have ideas for oneshots, please let me know! ^-^
Title: Losing is winning
Word count: 202
Characters: Jeremy Heere & Michael Mell
Trigger warnings: none, just a cute lil oneshot.
Summary: Michael would do anything to see Jeremy’s smile, even losing at a game.
‘Come on… Come on…!’
Jeremy’s eyes were fixated on his TV screen, pushing down the buttons on his controller which resulted in many click-click noises.
‘Wait- Yes!’ He jumped up and threw his hands in the air, almost dropping the controller. On the TV screen were now big letters that said: PLAYER 1 WINNER.
‘Congrats, buddy.’ Michael said, looking at his friend who was still jumping around and mumbling something about ‘’those stupid zombies’’.
Michael tried not to smile and pretended to be mad that he didn’t win. On the contrary, for him this already was a win: seeing his best friend with a big smile.
‘Don’t worry, Mikey. You’ll probably win next time, I was just lucky.’ Jeremy said, sitting down again on the beanbag and pushing Michael playfully in his arm.
Michael smiled and selected the next level. He probably would win, he wins every time. But sometimes, like today, he would let Jeremy win. He loved seeing his best friend happy. He loved seeing Jeremy in general, but his smile just made Michael’s heart jump.
He would do everything for that smile. Even dying in a game and losing all his lives and rare items, Jeremy was worth everything.
