alright. i just hit 180 followers but in light of my muse stump and all that, I have moved to a new blog. it’s got updated rules and a pretty bio and a clearly seen stats page for our famous or infamous blonde charmer. i’m so excited to start fresh and i hope to see you there my darlings! also its a much easier URL to spell. i know @headllost will love that

a hand gently pushes open the wooden study door and  knuckles tap against the wood to make her presence known to the only person in the room.

“ your majesty? i’m going home now. is that alright? “ she didn’t like leaving while he was still in the office but it  was 2 AM and she had teenager brothers to go home too. they would still probably be awake but someone had to yell  at them to get to bed. still, she had to at least give word to him.  if only out of respect.

he turns his head to take her in, paying extra care to the words that fall from her lips. the sun beats down on their relaxing figures but a cool breeze keeps the majority of the heat away, leaving only a nice warm summer day. they casually lay on the grass--as if they aren’t royalty but simply two teenagers enjoying the weather-- and he chooses to redirect his gaze to the sky in all its pristine azure glory. 

‘she doesn’t know what she’s asking for’, he mused to himself in a slightly bitter fashion. he’s only been king for a few months but he has never felt such pressure. what she says about standing next to him rings in his head but he laments on how he doesn’t feel like he’s standing at all. he feels more like a baby deer taking their first steps: unsure, unbalanced, always just on the edge of collapse. but how can he tell her that? how? he can’t figure the solution so he just decides to not say it at all.

“ you don’t need a crown to make me see you as my equal. you’re already there in my yes “ he assures--hands folded behind his head and legs crossed at the ankles, “ besides, you’ve got so much still to do. don’t think about that now. i recommend living your life first before taking care of others’. “
