goddess of victory
what is there that you cannot do? forever forward, never back, even if the wind sweeps you off the path. you never tire. may the sun rise for you—as it always does—and the rays light your way. there is no man who can clip your wings. go free; gallop wildly, serving no master and reined by no rider. to be one of your chosen fellows and dear companions to follow you on an adventure that i hope will never end… that is one of the greatest pleasures my soul has ever conceived. i want to be there for everything you do.

the immortal bird
“you’ve enchanted the earth and i since the day we met; flowers should bloom where you walk, adoration poured into your chalice at every turn. if you came with bloody claws or weary heart i would take the gentlest care in wiping them clean and dry so you could know weightlessness again. you’ve slain many demons—my own included—and yet your soul is still so soft with purity. i would hope that you never do battle again, that you would know peace for all your days, that happiness comes to you like rain in spring. you are as beautiful as all the seasons, your fire outlasting any winter and surviving any storm.”

my earth angel
it was fate that brought us together and fate that shall tear us apart, but by no means will i ever leave you before i must. an infinite expanse lies within you, otherworldly, and through all my days i have never grown bored of your depths. may your days be filled with peace, the thicket never baring its thorns. your halo may be imperceivable by human eyes, but you are no less an angel. may the purest white of your robes and wings shine over the world until the universe breathes its last. i love you more than i can say; i am glad we met again this lifetime, and i want to find you in many more. you are my sun, my moon, my stars, my atmosphere. i would live and breathe and die and come alive again in your hands if you would let me. oh, how i wish our love could be eternal!

radiant sunflower
we met just yesterday, those many years ago. you have grown and bloomed and died and come back in force with a vengeance unknown to man. you turn towards the sun, but know it follows you wherever you go. your everlasting radiance will be admired until the end of time; you are nothing but the brightest star on my ink-dark days. your warmth is irresistible, your hardy and luck-verdant stem greater than any man. from where you grow, and how tall you stand, i hope darkness can never reach you—i hope the moon knows your name well, and that prosperity showers over you always.

the ghost king
“there is nobody in the world who could make me happier. i see my reflection in your eyes and i think for a moment i could fall into vanity—for who could look at me like you do and not leave me realizing how beautiful i truly am? i hope we meet again in every life—i hope we make the lovely decision to do this all again: the lovely decision to be born, to meet, to embrace, to live, to marry, to smile, to eat, to depart together. there is little i am without you. i am but two halves, one of which lies softly, tenderly in your hands and never plans to leave.

five
our world is ruled by things as “natural laws”; however, even with such maxims there are people who slip through the cracks in the form of magic manifest. any time spent with you never feels long enough. you are the still waters i am not, and the roaring falls, and the clear lake upon which i can see my own reflections smiling back at me. never have i ever been so happy to discover myself once more, years after i thought i had lost myself along the way. although i know this world is temporary and ‘forever’ is as much of a concept as ‘now’, i would like it if we could stay friends for however long our ‘while’ is going to take. you’ve set a gem in my heart where there was once a wound. i feel treasured, and i treasure you—a crown set upon a princess’s head and everything more. as humble as you are, i know you would not allow me to bow before you—for that, i can only love you more.

man, his machine
i always wondered when i would meet someone like you; at some point in time, i developed a love for myself like no other. i, the lonely, i, the burdened, i, the fallible who used to want to be infallible, now bathe in the fact that the reality i once dreaded has become my heaven. nowhere shall i go without remembering that my vulnerability and humanity led me to you. i am forever thankful for my falls from grace, for my courage, for my fortitude. without my will to go on, i would have never crossed paths with you. it has felt like a million years have passed since we met, and no time at all. every day is bliss. is this what it feels like, to love another as yourself? you are my mirror, and everything more. i adore you in every which way. i hope we never have to part, but if that day shall come, know you will live in my heart always.

lover of all things
in the depths of myself i found something i thought i could share with no other. you, the pioneer, the first to know, the magical encounter i am so happy i had. you allow me to fully be myself, and one of the few i have met since i left another. i love you for everything you are; your strength, your authenticity. i find great value in being able to be with you every step of the way. you always bring a smile to my face, and i was right when i said i thought your own smile could light up a room. please never let anybody take your warmth away; anybody would be lucky to know you. i find you beautiful, radiant, so fun to be around. i am never burdened with you, and i want you to know that any burden you think you place on me is no burden at all. i love you.
