My new neighbours tore up their entire backyard to put in artificial turf… not to be dramatic, but I consider it a disgrace, an abomination, and an affront to the land. I hate the suburbs so much.

I’ve seen maybe 10% of the usual bees/bumble bees in my garden this year. I have mostly native plants and it’s really freaking me out. I stand by the wild roses waiting to see them but it’s eerily quiet without their buzz. It makes me want to cry. I don’t know if my neighbours are using pesticides or if the population has rapidly declined like this in one year…

I think adults should continue reading kids books throughout their lives because there are some fundamental human lessons that many people seem to be forgetting with age.

Took the dogs for a walk, saw two bald eagles doing a courtship dance in the sky, and thrifted the perfect Halloween sweater in March.

My husband and I are getting old, out of touch and barely present online. He’s selling some of his band shirt collection and that’s how we’re learning what bands have a popular song on tiktok. He listed a Jesus and Mary Chain shirt and was inundated with messages from teenagers.
