“I’m sorry, I really don’t see what is so special about New Orleans. ”
“Preaching to the choir. I’m here because my wife dragged me and now we’re stuck.”
“Right,” she drew the word out with a short laugh at the end. “I guess I’ll have to talk to her then.” She smiled knowingly at her husband. “I think that’s probably best for everyone involved.” Lexi sighed looking into his eyes, “You know what you’re right, how are you ever going to learn your manners.” she smirked, a mischievous glint in her eyes.
Brady grinned as his wife played along. It was one of the many things he loved about her. “i’ve been told I am very stubborn. I’m not very good at learning and manners are for suckers.” The glint in his wifes eyes made him weak. She alone was the reason he found himself no longer despising vampires in general. She changed everything he used to think about them.
“Oh?” She asked at the mention of Rebekah and Stefan. Lexi was very much aware that Brady was not the Mikaelson’s biggest fan, their relationship being the only reason why they even tolerate each other. “Maybe.” she unsuccessfully fought her smirk. “Did she happen to say why Stefan was looking for me?” She asked carefully leaning into his touch.
“No she did not. At the end of the conversation she decided she was better suited to pass along the message. I didn’t argue. The less time I have to spend in their presence the better for everyone.’ He kissed her softly before taking a sip of his drink. “i think maybe you should punish me anyway. i did lose my cool a little. Told her where to stick it.”
She watched him carefully as he grabbed the bottle of vodka and couldn’t help but to smile. Lexi was very grateful that she had found Brady and they formed the bond they did. She nodded at he mention of Grace and gladly agreed to his idea. “I think that those words are like music to my ears right now,” She grinned grabbing two glasses for them.
Brady grinned and started to make them drinks. “Oh, I should warn you I ran into Rebekah. She mentioned Stefan was looking for you, apparently she didn’t appreciate my attitude during the conversation so she plans on having a word with you.’ He rolled his eyes and poured their drinks before wrapping a hand around her waist. “Are you going to punish me?”
Brady Copeland
“Revenge is the only thing I know. It’s in my blood.”
“Can I get your opinion on something? Window shopping isn’t wrong, right?”
“I suppose it depends on what you’re window shopping for, Caroline.”
“How can I play nice when everything they say is annoying.”
“Yeah, alright. You win. I’ve got nothing. I can’t criticize you for being just like me.”
“Not well enough,” Rebekah spat back mostly under her breath. If he was looking for a confrontation he was very well going to get one in the near future, but not before the blonde original talked it over with Lexi. “On second thought love, I’ll get a hold of Alexia myself. I think it’s about time we had a little chitchat. So just you never mind it.”
“You do that blondie. if you think my wife is going to what? Punish me because I have a hard time playing nice with a member of the family that slaughtered my entire pack you’re wrong. We’re stuck in this ton together and I’ve been playing nice but if you push me I will push back and my wife won’t be able to save you.”
Rebekah gave a simple eye roll to his comment “Yes, well, I suggest you try a little harder next time or we might have a bit of personal issues to work through.” That or she could always mention it to Stefan and he’d say something to the mangy wolf, though she never was one who liked letting him fight her battles for her. In some instances though she would back of slightly. This was one of those simply because Lexi had been Stefan’s best friend for a very long time and her husband wasn’t someone she wanted to get in bad with. It had already taken her a while to develop the relationship with Lexi and that all would have gone to waste, still though, she didn’t much hold her tongue.
Brady was sure she had meant that as a threat but he just couldn’t force himself to act intimidated. No vampire had ever scared him before and none would. He had to remind himself she was his wifes best friends wife and that was just annoying. When he went through with his plane he couldn’t decide if he’d do her first or leave her for last. Stefan would be better off without her and he’d thank him for it eventually. “I’d say I’ve done fairly well working through my personal issues with you and your family.”
She shrugged letting a smile grace her features when she saw that Brady was home. She hated being alone. “Oh there you are, I was just out for a run because it was a nice day I guess. Where did the kids go?” She asked wanting to make sure of their whereabouts before she went into full relaxation mode. “I ran into one of Stefan and Rebekah’s kids and we had a chat and must have lost track of time.”
Brady smiled at his wife and headed into the kitchen. “I’m sure they’re around somewhere. i think I saw grace running around earlier.” He grabbed a bottle of vodka from the fridge and grinned at her. “I say we take advantage of the empty house. Pretend we’re back on our honeymoon in Bora bora.”
Lizzie let out a sigh and walked over to the arrow and picked it up. She then turned around to face Brady. “I did keep my arms straight, this is harder than it actually is.” She stood back where she was before and got ready again. She took a deep breath as she aligned the arrow with the bow. “Am I doing it right?” She asked as she glanced over at him
Brady smiled and lifted her arm so that it was aligned with her mouth. “There. Take a breath in and on the exhale release the bow.” He stepped back from her and put his hands in his coat pocket. He couldn’t help but feel proud of her. She might not actually be his daughter but he had always felt like she was since the day he met her.
Lizzie just recently started learning how to use a crossbow. She was always fascinated by the one her father Alaric had and wanted to learn how to use it but he didn’t want her to. So just like with her magic she has to do everything on her own. She let out a deep sigh as she missed her target. “Shit.” She mumbled under her breath. As she walked over to her fallen arrow she noticed a figure walking towards her.
Brady watched as Lizzie tried to hit the target and smiled when she missed. Part of him wanted her to stay as innocent as possible for as long as possible but he knew in this town it was better for her to be able to protect herself. ‘You have to keep your arm straight and don’t squint your eyes. It’s not a gun, it’s a bow.”
“Hey, you know what? You’re being irritating right now, so unless you shut up, I’m gonna leave.”
“Grace what have i told you about playing nice with other kids?”
@brady–copeland
“Babe are you in here?” Lexi called out into the seemingly empty house. The kids had all gone it seemed but she wasn’t sure where her husband had disappeared to.
Brady turned off the tv at the sound of his wifes voice and headed off in her direction. “I’m here. Where have you been? The kids are gone and there’s no one to cause trouble with.”
Rebekah scrunched her nose, obviously displeased with his response as she felt there was absolutely no real need for him to be so testy. “I have a great deal of respect for myself. It’s my respect for you that’s now wearing thin.” Her eyes squinted as she crossed her arms over her chest before shifting her gaze to the ground. “Yeah, thanks a lot for that.”
Brady sighed and tried his best to fake not being so annoyed by the blonde original. “I apologize. My wife keeps telling me I have to work on my temper. it’s the wolf in me.” He was only half lying and as Lexi enjoyed reminding him all the best lies were based on a shred of truth. His wolf gave him a bit of a temper but being around any of the Originals was more then just his normal wolf acting up.
I bet you wouldn’t of thought you would end up marrying a vampire. The moonstone right? I think I read about it once in some book. I’m sorry that you lost your whole pack and that has happened to you. What you have done to my mom was wrong and could of been ignored but you had your reasons. My step father can be a pompous prick sometimes but he did what he had to do to break whatever spell his mother did that held back his werewolf curse. I quite admire that and your in the same boat as he was back then. You want more power and I’m going to help you get that by helping you become a hybrid not sired to Klaus, also I’m going to find a loop hole so you wouldn’t have to change over and over again just to break that link to him. Yes a distraction but not just yet, the timing has to be very perfect for it because if it goes wrong we both might end up hurt badly or worse. I might ask him about the wolf line someday. Well I am going to help you learn control okay so don’t worry about me I will be safe. But hypothetically speaking, what if they do? I don’t want you to get hurt because I decided to help you get what you want.
Never in a million years could I have imagined marrying a Vampire. But Lexi is a very unique Vampire. Yeah the moonstone but it’s gone now. Lost or destroyed who knows but its useless. Being a Hybrid is not my choice. its a last desperate attempt to avoid extinction. Wolves are a dying a breed ever since Klaus broke his curse. He tore his way across the states massacring packs and trying to turn them. Being a hybrid isn’t a choice its about survival. My survival and my kinds survival. I’m not afraid of pain lizzie. it’s a welcome feeling these days. reminds me that I’m still alive. You worry about me too much. I’ve been a wolf for a long time. I can take care of myself. anyone who comes at you will have to go through me.

“Brady!” Rebekah shouted, grabbing him by the shoulder lightly. “Stefan’s asked me to have you tell Lexi that he’s been looking to get a hold of her lately. If you wouldn’t mind passing on the message, I’d very much appreciate it.”
“So Stefans using you as his lap dog now? He can’t deliver his own messages, that’s just sad. I thought you had more respect for yourself.” He moved away from her. “If i see my wife I’ll let her know.’
