Artís Elite Collection Oval 8 Brush I recently bought this brush on a trip to Edinburgh in their Harvey Nichols Space NK store. I had been looking to purchase one of these for a while and was mainly looking for an Oval brush for foundation. I believe they have three different sizes mainly suited for foundation (Oval 7, 8 & 10) and decided on the oval 8 as I thought the side was in between and would be great for liquid foundation application. The bristles of the brush are the softest on any foundation brush I have ever used and applies foundation flawlessly without any streaks. The bristles are also made of synthetic hair which means that not as much product is absorbed into the brush and distributes product evenly, giving perfect coverage with whichever foundation that is used. Although this seems like a strange makeup brush, it is one of the easiest I have used and I now much prefer it over my Sigma F80, Zoeva Silk Finish or even my Beauty Blender. Great investment, although the price is slightly higher than most, it is of much better quality. (Around £48-£50)

Lip Kit by Kylie in Candy K Bought this on Kylie's lip kit website on their last re-stock and wanted to try it out for a while before posting about it. I had heard that the formula was almost identical to colourpop's and that the three shades (Candy K, Dolce K & True Brown K) were basically the same for $29. However, on trying the shade when it arrived, I can safely say that the formula is totally different in every way. The lipstick is still very matte and stays all day, however, is not drying and does not flake after a few hours wear. I have tried many formulas of liquid lipstick and would say that Kylie's is one of my favourites! I do love the shade range of colourpop but I find the liquid lipstick flakes and sinks into the lines of your lips after a couple of hours. This being said, colourpop lipsticks are fantastic for $6 (around £3.50). I would love to pick up Kylie's True Brown K shade and new Valentine's collection shade Posie K on their next restock, and hope that they have a lot more stock this time!

NARS All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation in ‘Mont Blanc’

I ordered this foundation a few days ago to try alongside use of my Chanel Perfection Lumiere in shade '22 Beige Rose’, as i’ve not tried many other foundations.

This foundation claims to give a natural, but full coverage that lasts for 16 hours. It also claims to even skin tone and neutralise redness and dullness in the skin. Also claims to be weightless and feels breathable on the skin.

Going from Chanel Perfection Lumiere, a foundation which I have been used to since it was first released, I found the NARS All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation, of a very watery consistency. It is a very light formula, however, gives fantastic full coverage and is surprisingly opaque and matte on the skin but luminous at the same time. It is highly pigmented and was surprisingly smooth. I really like this foundation as it is natural looking and that the range of colours (20 shades) is fantastic. I have a light skin tone with combination skin and I find that the foundation used in combination with a primer is great for my skin type as it doesn’t smudge after a few hours on oily parts of my face.

The foundation however, I find is slightly messy to use and although it comes with a pump, it needs to be used with a Beauty Blender or a foundation brush (I use a Sigma Flat Top Kabuki Buffer Brush F80) otherwise it is messy to use on the skin and won’t apply as smoothly.

Overall I really like this foundation however, it’s watery consistency in the bottle when first out the pump is messy. Otherwise I can’t fault the formula and leaves a perfect matte but luminous finish on the skin.

NARS Audacious Lipstick in ‘Jeanne’

This lipstick was bought in El Corte Inglès in Marbella for €33 (£27). Although pricey the formula of NARSs audacious lipsticks are absolutely amazing. The colour is a deep red similar to Anastasia Beverly Hills shade ‘Vamp’. The formula is great as it provides amazing lasting colour and a moisturising lipstick. The lipstick is easy to apply and doesn’t flake of dry out. I would say the lipstick has a slight shine and dries to semi-matte. Not to mention the amazing packaging which comes in a magnitized metal tube with the NARS signature logo stamped on the lipstick.

NARS satin lipstick in Tolède, which I also bought in El Corte Inglès in Marbella. It was around €23 or £20. The colour range of NARS lipsticks are amazing and they have both semi-matte and satin colours. Although Tolède is a satin colour, I would still say it was a slightly matte colour as it doesn’t have a high gloss shine. The colour is around a neutral pink and is great for an everyday colour.

NARS 'deepthroat' blush and 2015 spring neutral collection 'reckless' blush (highlighter) Bought both of these products from El Corte Inglés in Marbella, Spain when I was on a holiday with my boyfriend and both cost me around €68. (around £33 each) Although pricey for a blush, 'deepthroat' is one of NARS's best selling or cult products. I had seen a lot of reviews on the product before buying but I can say it is definitely worth the money! It is by far the best coloured and pigmented blush I have used. Definitely my new go to beauty product. (Top left) 'reckless' equally is very pigmented and although contains glitter, is not heavy or over the top and still looks neutral and gives a natural glow. Although it is classed as a blush online and when I bought it in the store, I would say this product would be more suited as a powder highlighter as it has natural peach tones and is not a pink/red toned powder in any way. I love the pigment in the powder and it is very subtle to highlight your cheekbones on a night out.
