Bert: itās only coming from my side, he hasnāt-

Steve-O: well I mean I think in like. I donāt think thereās anything controversial about like the, you know, the timeline of what happened. It was really just a fact of Gerard got sober
Bert: yup
Steve-O: like significantly before you
Bert: yup
Steve-O: and so like if there was a beef it was that like when, when people get sober, like they gotta kind of step back
Bert: yup
Steve-O: from the party scene
Bert: yup. And I didnāt understand that at the time, and I was like heās trynna tell me that Iām fucking up, and Iām like dude youāre fucking up.
Steve-O: uh huh
Bert: yeah
Steve-O: right and so you took it personally that he was stepping away from the party scene
Bert: 100 percent
Steve-O: like stepping away from you personally
Bert: 100 percent.
Steve-O: and uh, and so then like you know, if I understand correctly like, you uh said some regrettable things in interviews and stuff
Bert: yeah
Steve-O: like questioning his artistic integrity *laughs*
Bert: yeah there was a moment where I was pretty, pretty hurt about the end of our relationship.
Steve-O: right, and thatās like, that uh, is pretty standard issue like um. You know using, like in an active addiction
Bert: yeah
Steve-O: thatās kind of how like we control our emotions
Bert: exactly. Yeah it was sad. We were good make out buddies.
*both laugh*
Steve-O: yeah Iāve seen the photos

Bert: weāve, weāve talked since and like Iāve ran into him. Super cool. Like letās go get coffee and. You know what I mean
Steve-O: dude thatās amazing!
Bert: yeah
Steve-O: Iām really so glad to hear that because uh, from what I gather thereās not been like a real public reconciliation itās just kinda been left to mystery
Bert: yeah
Steve-O: and mystique
Bert: which is kinda cool
Steve-O: okay
Bert: yeah
Steve-O: yeah kinda-

Steve-O: so um you say that like you bump into Gerard sometimes or, but you say like letās get coffee. Are you guys, does it uh have to be like a chance encounter or could you just like hit him up?
Bert: I think I could just hit him up

Bert: you know what I mean. Yeah itās been chill. Heās uh, amazing human being. Super talented. Creative. Like he does it all.
Steve-O: and heās like all in, in the recovery huh?
Bert: yeah which is awesome. Love that
Steve-O: dude for sure
Bert: didnāt realize that until after a certain amount of time but yeah. Full respect
