Author’s Note: Heyo guys, been a while, huh? Like literallty nine months! I could’ve had a baby in that time! (Disclaimer: I did not). But anyhow here’s a gift from me to you this holiday season!

It was very rare that Ford felt filled with rage or bitterness, or at least it was rare that he felt these emotions towards Stan — the one person who is usually immune to Ford’s more foul of moods — but for once Ford has been angry with Stan for what feels like years. Or more precisely a bit over a week, which considering how much of their time is usually spent with one another is not unlike cutting off a limb.

He loves his brother, he truly does but Ford is not some damsel in distress, he is not a victim in need of a hero and he certainly isn’t some naive teen that Stan needs to keep safe from the world. Ford doesn’t need saving, he doesn’t need protecting and whilst he appreciates where this drive and desire to care for him comes from, there’s a lot that he doesn’t appreciate. The fact Stan tends to act without considering what Ford wants is their biggest point of contention, his brother always assumes that he knows what Ford needs and wants. It’s as if Stan is so used to knowing who Ford has been in the past that he’s blinded to who he is now, he hasn’t realized that Ford’s grown up and that he wants different things than he used to. Inside his own mind Ford not so kindly thinks that Stan needs to grow up too, think outside of the box of the dreams they had given themselves long ago.
