A new set of eyes
These eyes have seen so much. Sometimes, I wish that I could erase some of the things that they have seen. But then........I realize........MY windows to MY soul, also reflect what my soul sees in YOU.Â
I see you. I see your innocence. I see your curiosity. I see your heart. I see your love. I see your fire!
I see what hurt you! I see your innocence hidden from you. I see your curiosity shamed. I see your heart restricted. I see your love pushed away. I see your smoldering embers that desperately need some flame!
We all see this world so so so differently. The colors. Are they even perceived the same way, from one person to the next? Does my fire burn the same way that your fire burns?Â
What I know, is that the way that we see the world changes every time we learn something new. Even the smallest things, can change the way we see.  Â
Iâve been toying with the idea of writing a book about all of the things that these eyes have seen, and that is what brought me to this blog. Simply telling you how I managed to still be alive, how I keep pushing through, how I keep the smile on my face, and how I am learning how to love and accept myself, and never letting anything extinguish my fire, is NOT enough for me.Â
My story is definitely dramatic, exciting, dangerous, scary, heart-breaking, and climactic. But it is also silly and humorous. Full of love, hope, wonder, discovery, knowledge, and a million rebirths!Â
But that is what we do, huh? We are reborn, every time we make the decision to be more and do more. We throw away what does not work for us, and keep the tools that will help us get to the place that we need to get. Back to ourselves.
Back to our innocence, with the knowledge from our journey. Our eyes are there for the whole thing. They donât change. What they physically see doesnât change.
Life is HOW we see it. How we perceive this world, this dimension, this life, in this body, through these eyes. To change how we see it, we have to learn about it, and we need to learn about ourselves.Â
The stories in our minds are not all true. The ways that we have been raised, are not the way that we raised ourselves. Someone else did that. All of the things that you were taught to be and how to live, that wasnât you.Â
We have to look at all of the information presented to us, and figure out what is actually true, and what is false. And when we finally find the truths that resonate with our being, then we can learn from them, and grow from them. Even the bad stuff! A lot of our truths just need to be brought into the correct light. Bad things happen to good people, for a reason! Good things happen to bad people, for a reason! To show us!!!! To show us when we are the bad person! To show us that we may have thought that we were the good guy, when really, we were super villans! To feel like the bad guy, when really, the only thing bad about you is not knowing that you actually want to be good!!Â
For real, though. When you shift from âbeing goodâ because that is what is expected of you, to actually yearning to âbe good and do goodâ, your vision changes. Your eyes actually start to see the world differently, and it is frigginâ mind blowing! Boom!
The fear starts to fade away. The lies become jokes. The pain becomes experience. The loss opens doors for gain. The view gets brighter. Your eyes see everything polarized. Beautiful. Amazing. Wondrous. And letâs not ever forget, CURIOUS!Â
