One of my favourite dynamics of johnlock is the need to be in close proximity while looking at evidence or just talking to one another. The shared focus and intimacy make it appear so much more domestic...... like........ this is their everyday life where they are just together. The way they lean in, sometimes even over each other, just to get a better look at something,, ohmyGOD seeing them like this just makes me miss them so much

Art study of J.C. Leyendecker's Welcome Home with Mrs Hudson and Dr Watson.

This was the first Holmes Leyendecker study I did, before my study of Consolation and it was fun to dry and figure out what to use and how to use it to get close to replicating his style in digital form.

What an incredible honor to be surrounded by such talented creatives in a celebration of queer life, love, and perseverance 🩵🩵🩵

I settled on a triptych design with the left and right panels depicting each man’s ’death’ (Afghanistan and Reichenbach Falls respectively) and a sort of ‘revival’ in the center as they finally come together. Of course the retirement cottage and plenty of Victorian flower language are included as well.

dude i am so ill about johnlock it isnt funny. ive got multiple ao3 and tumblr tabs open, multiple johnlock edits lined up waiting for me to watch, some random johnlock themed playlist playing on spotify, pinterest opened to johnlock pictures, and my sketchbook open and ready for me to draw fanart of them. i live johnlock, i laugh johnlock, i love johnlock. theyre in my brain and my heart and my blood and every inch of me. they plague my thoughts on a daily. they make me smile, they make me cry, they give me a whole damn emotional rollercoaster. i love their dynamic and i love their love. i just love johnlock so damn much

I love those parts in the Sherlock Holmes stories where there’s a break in the case and Holmes is like c’mon Watson let’s go to an art gallery or a concert or go have dinner or go take a walk and enjoy each other’s company. And they do! ACD takes time out of the mystery/crime story to share how Holmes and Watson had a lovely time talking and just being together. Friends (roommates…) of ALL TIME!!!!!
