I've been putting my shelves back together, redressing my dolls (since I stored them nude), making sure I have everything and nothing got lost, but it looks like Rock Angelz Cloe's skirt and one of 2010 Leora's socks went missing. Crap. I almost lost 2010 Tyla's outfit, until I realized I put it in the completely wrong container. Otherwise, basically everything is there, but I still need to go through accessories. I also found out I have everything for Girlz Nite Out Yasmin, except the doll and skirt. I've acquired everything in random lots throughout the years. Works for me. Lol
Not as much as what a lot of people on eBay are selling her for. I've seen people try to sell her for $60 nude, but since she's nude she's not worth that much, even if she's rare. If she's in good condition you might be able to find someone willing to pay $20 or more, but nude dolls typically aren't worth that much, no matter how rare they are. I know that's not necessarily what you might have wanted to hear, but complete OOB dolls are way more valuable than nude ones, and $60 is slightly more reasonable for a complete OOB doll, though most collectors still won't pay that much. You can try to list your doll higher, but I don't think a lot of people will be interested in buying.
Well, crap. My laptop is officially dead. All my blogging is going to be mobile now, which means I may not upload reviews of the new dolls because I'm not typing super long reviews on my phone. I can still post pictures of them when I have the chance. I've been putting my shelves back together since the bed bugs so that's taking up all my time. Also, I've been wanting to buy the old Bratz and new Bratz at the same time, but I don't have the budget for that. Mostly. I figured out I can buy the old Bratz and wait for the new Bratz to go on sale. I'll just have to be patient. I'll still be buying MFV Jade, Sweet Style Sasha, and SA Kumi when I find them though. I just have to watch my budget on eBay because I'm notorious for overspending.
New stuff! Got SS Jade, Cloe, and Yasmin, Remix Jade, the Shoe Closet, Target exclusive Shoefie pack, Vee, and Ooh La La Kumi. Planning on doing reviews of SS, Remix, and the Shoe Closet.
They had Remix Yasmin and Cloe and I’m planning on going back for them soon. Shoe Closet found at Target in Westminster, CO and SS and Remix found at Target at the Orchard in Denver, CO.
Sorry for crappy phone pictures. I can’t find my camera.
And... Christmas money gone. Found Sweet Style, Remix, and the Shoe Closet at Target. I got the Shoe Closet first at one Target then Sweet Style and Remix at another Target.
Only got SS Jade, Cloe, and Yasmin and Remix Jade. Will post pics of everything later tonight after I get off work. They had Remix Cloe and Yasmin too, but I didn't have enough for them. Still waiting for SS and Remix Sasha, BBB, MFV, and SA Wave 2. But I'm happy now that I have new stuff. They're slowly trickling into Denver.
Their clothes are boring, and I don't mind shoe recasts, but these aren't exactly recast so much as reused, since they're the same colors. Love that CAB shoes are being reused though, and that Jade's MM boots have the black sole now. Faces are amazing and Jade and Sasha's hair is perfect. Need these dolls because of the faces.
I'm losing interest in MH and EAH. Not really because they're changing now, but because I think they filled a gap while Bratz weren't there. Now that Bratz are back, MH and EAH are on the back burner. Don't get me wrong, I still like the dolls I have and there are still some that I want, but both lines are "meh" for me at this point. I'm probably going to limit my collection to the ones that I really want, and will probably get them when they're on sale for budget's sake. The nice thing about losing interest in them is that it helps save money a little, considering I've been buying all the new Bratz. I can't afford to fully invest in all 3 lines right now.
TL;DR Christmas sucked, my family is pissing me off.
Well, my Christmas sucked. My mom is convinced that since I’m 23 I’m only allowed to have “practical” gifts for Christmas. Literally, I was one of those people whose parents got them socks and underwear for Christmas this year. I’m still grateful for the floor liners for my car and that they’re paying for my plates, but I kind of miss waking up for Christmas and opening toys and stuff on my wishlist that I was excited for. Socks and underwear aren’t exciting. Oh, and she totally thinks it’s okay to tell me my sister gets more presents than me because she is 10 years younger than me, and I’m an adult now so I don’t need so many presents. Why would you ever think it’s okay to do that or tell your kid that? I’m not really jealous of my sister so much as upset about the way my mom went about the whole thing.
Then, we went to my aunt’s house later in the day. When she asked me what I wanted beforehand, I gave her a list of Disney movies. So, I was thinking I’d get some actual fun presents once we got there. No, my mom ended up talking to my aunt after she asked me what I wanted, and of course ended up telling her that I didn’t need any Disney movies and that a steering wheel cover is more useful. I wouldn’t be so bothered if I didn’t spend two seconds opening a steering wheel cover and seat covers and then get to sit there and watch everyone else (my sister, cousin, her boyfriend, my parents, aunt, uncle, grandma) open more, fun presents.
The only gifts I got that weren’t “practical” but I was actually excited about were Vee (who my boyfriend bought me for my birthday/Christmas, which means I opened her a little before Christmas), and Ooh La La Kumi, who I bought for myself. The only advantage to all of this is that my grandma always gives us $100 each every year, so I’m going to go blow it on the 2016 Bratz when they start showing up (since I have all the 2015 dolls). Of course, I’m going to tell my parents I just put it in my savings, because that’s what they expect.
Also, before we went to my aunt’s house, my parents were talking about how they’re going to see Star Wars on the 31st, which is also the same day my sister gets her braces on. Of course, she has to go with them to them movie then because they’re not going to go a second time, so she just gets to sit in the theater in pain. And when she told my mom that her teeth were probably going to hurt, my mom dismissed it and told her to stop complaining. I know that that’s coming from when I had braces. I constantly complained about how much teeth hurt, but my parents didn’t want to hear it. When I finally got the braces off and had the retainer, I only had to wear it at night. It was just a piece of plastic, but my teeth would hurt so bad in the morning that I couldn’t eat, so I never wore it. Guess what, my teeth are still fucked up, and now my parents hold it over my head that I wasted their money. My sister getting braces has me scared and stressed. I’m afraid they’re going to go off on me about how I wasted their money again. They finally let it go for a while, but I’m just waiting for it. And I’m so afraid of what they’re going to say to and how they’re going to treat my sister about her braces, because of me.
And my parents wonder why I spend all of my time at my boyfriend’s house. I don’t like being home because it’s stressful. I ended up staying home when it snowed bad and I had a headache/cold and my mom got mad at me for... being sick. I like how she told me if I have a cold it’s fine to go to work, but I should come home afterward, rather than going to my boyfriend’s to do the same thing I’d do at home. Does she forget that I’m not a sociable person and being at my boyfriend’s consists of us gaming or watching movies or whatever? If I don’t have to go anywhere, I won’t. Sitting on my ass is not going to make my cold worse. Going to work, interacting with people, and wearing myself down will make my cold worse. My parents are the reason I have anxiety. They invalidated my emotions and made me feel like I can’t speak up. So I just take their crap because when I would try to speak up they’d shut me down and tell me to get over it and that I didn’t know what I was talking about.
I think I figured out what bothers me about the 2015 screenings. One, that they’re really round and childish (as everyone has noted). And two, they have a bunch of little lines in the irises, whereas the 2001-2013 and 2016 screenings all have smooth irises. The smooth irises look so much better and are less startling.
The full Music Festival Vibez line. Now, these girls are getting A LOT of hate do to the “animated” nature of their outfits which has led to us Bratzies, well… some of us, to voice their displeasure at the current state of MGA’s Bratz rebranding. I’m not sure most of you know what a music festival is like or if you know that the biggest flaw that ppl had with Bratz was their mature nature, which wasn’t mature to me at all, IMO. They took some risks (that jacuzzi), but for the most part they were pretty much relevant to the time. Yes, the new Bratz are kid-friendly, but do you think if MGA came out with Bratz emulating today’s teens they’d last a minute in the general public? They’d be torn to shreds. In this day & age of Mylies & Kylies, emulating current fashion would be a BIG RISK. You guys should’ve seen my little sister’s prom dress, geez… In fact, search #Prom2015 on Twitter and GAG at the maturity rating that should be on some of those pics. I, personally, LOVE all of them! Hell, I wish Sasha was even more “animated” and gave me some Azealia Banks Wireless Festival 2014 or Solange & Beyoncé Coachella 2014 kind of looks! You older Bratz fans are gonna have to suck it up. MGA is doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG, except for the lack of articulation >__>. You’re not the target audience. You’re living on nostalgia, sweetie. And it seems like a lot of you are into the “glam” style (furs, shimmer, and smokey ey…well, everything) anyway. Ugh. Move on. The old Bratz looked high and bored, not to say that being high is a bad thing 😏, but I am thoroughly pleased with MGA’s Bratz rebranding and will be getting this ENTIRE line. Check the tags to see the festival types each girl coincides with. Xoxo 💋
What is it with people thinking that if you give Bratz constructive criticism and feedback you’re just a big meanie? We don’t hate the new Bratz, but there is a lot of improvement that needs to be made so that the brand doesn’t end for good. MFV isn’t getting hate due to the “animated” look of their clothes. We’re criticising the line because of the reused 2015 screening, which we thought we’d seen the last of, reused accessories, and tacky, cutesy clothes. I personally cannot stand Cloe’s pants. And seriously? Bratz being mature is their biggest flaw? Bratz were created to be mature in order to appeal to pre-teens and teens, and it worked. I don’t think today’s Bratz would appeal to middle and high schoolers because they’re so cutesy. That has to be the most ignorant statement about Bratz I’ve seen, coming from someone that considers themselves a fan. You love the new ones? Great. We’re not telling anyone that they can’t love them. But we’re not going to “suck it up” and not be critical of the brand we love. MGA isn’t without fault. Several times they have claimed that Bratz are still rebellious and disruptive, but that is just not the case. They look like any other brand right now. They don’t stand out. And if they don’t start standing out kids aren’t going to be interested. This is such an insult to Bratz. Calling them high and bored. We’re not moving on. Risky, edgy, disruptive worked for Bratz then, and it’ll work now if MGA would stop trying to make everything so cutesy and not worry about trying to make the dolls tech savvy. Bratz need to be interesting again, and so far they’re just not there yet.
Umm, giving constructive criticism and being downright disrespectful is 2 different things. You can have your preference over whatever you want, but what MGA is thinking needs to be done, they need to make that choice, not the “Bratty” lil OG fans. It’s disappointing to see so many grown men and women acting so negatively towards dolls, that aren’t even targeted towards you. If the rugged edgy and sexy is not what you want your kids to be exposed to, these fashions are more classy and kid friendly. Instead of thinking from a Older bratz stand point, think from a business standpoint. If parents aren’t buying edgy and sexy, maybe cute and colorful will work. Another MGA product, Lalaloopsy, was popular, and what are they? Cute. So do say that cutesy and colorful isn’t what needs to be done. Not saying that you’re being irrational and dusrespectful, but there are people or “Fans” who are being downright nasty. That’s not what needs to be going on. You older bratz fans need to chill tf out, cuz unless you’re in there making the dolls and owning MGA, you need to just gave several seats, you feel entitled over nothing
Because saying the old Bratz look high and boring isn’t disrespectful... Okay.
Honestly, did you read my criticism of MFV Sasha? I never compared her or the 2016 Bratz to the old Bratz, other than when I said I wished the new dolls were looking to the side. Otherwise, it’s all about her and how she has way too many reused accessories, among other grievances.
No, I don’t like the cutesy look of the new Bratz. The edgy look sold. They actually rattled Barbie. They didn’t appeal to soccer moms, and it worked. Kids loved them. They were new and different and pushed boundaries. Now they just blend in to all the other lines. What makes them special at this point? They need to differentiate themselves from other doll brands and stop being so worried about soccer moms. From a business standpoint, if Bratz continues to blend in, people won’t have any interest in them and MGA will have to discontinue them because they aren’t selling.
New fans are the ones that are telling old fans that we’re being mean, negative, disrespectful, overreacting... If we’re not critical of the brand it’s going to go away for good. And our criticisms aren’t just about comparing them to the old dolls. The new Bratz have problems that have nothing to do with the old dolls. We’re not entitled, we’re concerned for the brand.

More new bratz for everyone! All I found is that they are called Remix?! I like a few of the pieces. I love Yasmin’s pants and I adore jades overalls! Lol I will credit once I figure out their source
Is Sasha not going to be in this line? That’s disappointing if she isn’t. Don’t mind Yasmin’s shoes in blue, but we have those boots in gold already and I’m so tired of HMNI Sasha’s shoes! Also, more phones… Why?
