Hm….that’s right, the summer trip. Heh, What would he do without Hikari really? The past few days had been almost a total train wreck for him. He’d forgotten to hand in one of his final assignments for his classes, but thankfully, his teacher had allowed him to pick up an extra credit one. So with the load of school work, on top of soccer practice, on top of attempting to figure out what in the world it was he wanted to do after school was over, it had just overall felt pretty chaotic, so he hadn’t been getting as much sleep as he should have.
It really didn’t feel like it was. “Hikari….” He grumbled and let out a tired sigh as his sister pulled the blanket away. “Hmmh….” He wiped away a trail of drool that was running down the corner of his lips, eyes beginnning to open to look up at his sister. Well…he couldn’t keep their friends waiting, he hated being that type of guy even though he still ended up being tardy to things at times, because, well, it was easy for him to lose track of time. “What time is it? I can’t get five more minutes of sleep in can I?” He knew the answer to that question. If he wanted to be the type of guy who showed proper respect to his friends, he needed to just get up and get ready. “Alright, alright, Hikari.” He said, a yawn escaping his lips as he sat up, a hand running through his messy brown hair. His eyes darted to take a look at their digital alarm clock, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes to get a better look at what time it was.
It was…9:30 AM already? They were supposed to meet the guys at 10:00 AM weren’t they? Oh crap…here he was, almost making them late to another one of their get-togethers again. Crap! Crap!
Taichi bolted up to his feet in that moment, rushing to grab a few items of clothing before rushing to their bathroom to get ready as quick as he could for the day. Damn it! If he was late for this, Yamato was never going to let him live it down!
He changed into his clothes as quickly as he could, attempting to tame his disorganized hair as much as possible with the limited amount of time he possessed in his hands. “Agumon! Kairi! Come on!” He called out in a hurry, grabbing an apple briskly from the kitchen counter before dashing out the door.
“Later, mom! Thanks for the breakfast!”
Even though he hadn’t had the chance to have any…at least Agumon got to enjoy some…
Hikari watched how her brother slowly opened his eyes, she didn’t even bother telling him what time it was, he noticed it himself and finally realised that they didn’t have much time left. A soft giggle escaped her lips when he bolted up on his feet and began to get ready. She walked out of his room and picked up her pink backpack from the ground, pulling it over her shoulders as she watched the whole scenario in amusement. It was just the same thing with him every time.. he would never change, would he?
Tailmon jumped down the chair after finishing breakfast with Agumon and rubbed the back of her neck. “Hmm, you would think he would at least be on time when it comes to fun trips.” she mumbled to herself then looked up to her partner. “It’s Oniichan after all, i’m not surprised.” she smiled then walked to her mother and gave her a soft peck on the cheek. “We are leaving!” Hikari waved then picked her cat-like digimon up and followed Taichi out. “Wait for me!” she called after him and hurried to pick up the pace. Their train would leave at 10:10am exactly, they only had fifteen more minutes to get there but at least the weather was playing along, it was a beautiful sunny day and it only made the girl even more excited to get to their destination.
“Oniichan, this way!” Hikari grabbed his arm and pulled him towards a small alley that led to the bridge they had to cross to get to the train station, it was better to take a shortcut at a time like this.
