so! it feels weird making this as an Announcement bc i’m sure no one cares FHDJFNDJDN but it felt weirder not to say anything at all

but i guess i just wanted to say that this blog’s journey has pretty much come to an end.

i’ve been talking about it a little but if you didn’t see, i told an anon during the last of my silly little scandals/dramageddons that i was going to stay in the fandom as long as i was having fun. well i’m just… not having fun anymore.

i’m not gonna delete this blog or deactivate because i really want to keep everything i made for this fandom and more importantly, my asks.

just to branch off of that for a second - i couldn’t “leave” without thanking yall one last time. some of y’all have shown me so much loyalty and love like beyond what i could ever possibly deserve. and i am genuinely so thankful for you. this blog and community got me through the heights of the pandemic. the litg fandom was my whole entire life during those long and lonely months. and i found so many friends here + my faceless frequent flier anon friends. the love you showed me and my work will genuinely never be forgotten.

that’s about it. i’m sure i’ll still pull up from time to time. just don’t expect to see me regularly around these parts anymore. if you still want to hear from me, my main is @preslemore and i’ll still be posting over there!!

anyways. thank y’all for how good you were to me. i had a lot of fun in this rancid fandom.

Can you explain the title?

It’s actually taken from a segment on Late Night with Seth Meyers! When he has current/former SNL cast members on his show, he sometimes gives them a chance to do a sketch they wrote that got rejected from the show. A lot of the time, they bomb and it’s only funny because of how painfully unfunny it is & you can tell how much fun they’re having doing it.

Basically, they put the sketch on against better judgement without knowing how it’s going to go. It’s a risk, but sometimes it works out.

i’m turning 22 tomorrow and i keep remembering how you called 22 your “taylor swift year” and were mad about spending it in quarantine. you seemed soooooo grown up to me at that time bc i was still in high school so being that age now is super weird. the litg fandom became so toxic but your blog really was the best part. hope you’re doing well bestie 🫶🏻

It means so much to me that you still think of me. Like so so so much. The fandom was genuinely my everything during lockdowns. It kept me afloat and sane during those long and lonely months. It’s so special to me that I got to be part of that for so many people. People were literally just treating my askbox as a diary/stream of consciousness. I never meant to get “popular.” It just kind of happened.

It’s so funny because in comparison, I felt this way about Bobby and Olivia. At nearly 28, I’m older than both of them now. Shit, im older than Liv was when she had Jude. I’m older than most of s2 now.

Hey so idk if you’ll see this but I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it for some reason

I think part of it is how fondly I remember these days and how I feel kinda silly for that, you know? Like to be pushing 30 but able to feel 🥰 about a fandom for pixel people five years ago just feels deranged?

But like… you remember me fondly too. You remember me period. You reached an age of your life, 22, and sat back in a moment and thought of me. All these years later. I’d be lying if I said how widely disliked I had become didn’t play a part of me leaving. It had just gotten old. “All my enemies started out friends” rang too true.

Idk. It’s just nice to know you really truly be thinking of me. You guys hear taylor swift and you think of me. You randomly think of not just my fic, but even comments I made about the story here on my blog. You guys think of me on your birthday. I still get happy birthday asks every year too. You remember my fucking birthday.

I had so much fun here, as much as I complained. I think of you guys more often than I should probably. I’m so glad it’s mutual. I said when I left that I’d never forget the love I was shown here and I meant it. I haven’t. 🥰
