Milla walked up to Jude with a smile. She had managed to get the great spirits to dress her in a very sexy bunny outfit and procure some chocolate eggs. She offered them to Jude. "Happy Easter"

Another busy day at Helioborg, and honestly, Jude was a little deflated after such a long —and completely fruitless —day. Nothing that he, Mary and Balan tested had brought them any closer with their research, and he had planned to go back to his apartment and sleep the rest of the day away in the hopes that tomorrow would bring some fresh ideas and any amount of progress.

It was just when he was leaving the large, stone and metal complex that he saw that figure in the gateway that always made him smile. However, this time he would not be. This time his golden eyes had been made to widen and heat instantly rushed to his face. 

The young researcher barely registered that she had said anything, his efforts focusing on keeping his eyes on her face rather than anywhere else on her anatomy, which was rather a compelling temptation with the outfit she had elected to wear. “U-Uhh…” He flustered a little before slowly accepting the chocolate treats.

“I…I’m not sure this is very.. in the spirit of the holiday, but thanks.” He managed to stammer before offering a smile.

Tears making a lazy trail down his cheeks, Ludger looked up in confusion at Jude’s words. So… both times he had been sober? But…. that didn’t make any sense, if he was sober, then that meant that Jude… Jude had wanted him as well. The realization almost felt like a tonne of bricks hitting him, but the agent wasn’t allowed to dwell: not with Jude’s lips against his once more.  He didn’t respond to the first kiss, still caught adrift in the whirl of emotions, but he did listen closely when the researcher spoke again, despite any chance of reply being stopped by the subsequent kiss. He was still but for a few moments, before cautiously reciprocating, his arms wrapping around his lover’s torso to hold him close. Certainly, it wasn’t as hot and passionate as their previous exchanges, but Ludger was focused on something else: showing how much he cared for the medic, vowing that he would do all that he could to never hurt him again.

And Jude's arms reached up around Ludger's neck, pulling the older towards him as he leaned against the wall once more. Hands only reclined from their position to cup gently at the Kresnik's face, thumbs brushing the tear tracks from his cheeks.

And he would hum contentedly against his lips, his arms now dropped to around Ludger's waist so he could cling once more to his opened shirt before releasing his lips in favour of air. "It's in the past... Let's focus on the future, okay?"

"What're you doing awake still?"

Alvin tilted his head to look at the younger, the noises of outside voices was bothering him so he couldn’t sleep. He heard Jude’s footsteps before the younger even made his presence known. Well…guess being a vampire had it’s perks after all.

"Mm, thought I’d get some paperwork done since I can’t get some shut eye. What about you?"

"I-I have no idea…?" 

Oh he had a very good idea why his reflection wasn’t there. He had to get out of there. Quick, “Uh…” He picked up his hot chocolate, moving to stand and avert himself away from the mirror,  ”How about we go outside or something? Maybe we need some fresh air?”

"....Yeah, maybe you're right.."

And Jude rubbed his eyes again, pointedly avoiding looking at the mirror lest he drive himself crazy over it before marking and closing his books for now. However his finger slid across the edge of the page with a hiss from the researcher, creating a thin, deep papercut.

"Geez.. why is it these things hurt more than anything an elite monster could do..?" He joked with a small smile, looking around for a bandaid.

And here he was, right on time. Shadow had to smirk a little as he heard Jude’s voice, knowing just how much it would pain the Ludger to know what he was planning. But they both knew the agent had no business being with the precious medic, far better that Shadow sort it now and break Ludger beyond repair. Then, everything around him would be his. He could integrate in; take the place of his counterpart. 

Turning around, Shadow held a smile as he laid eyes on Jude, one Ludger would have given his precious boyfriend. “Not at all Jude, glad you made it here safe and sound.” And the affection was reciprocated. Shadow wasn’t quite sure how Ludger kissed his lover, but the kiss on the forehead seemed sufficient to him. 

Now though, Shadow made a show of frowning at Jude, “Actually… you’re not going to like what I have to say. Please, sit down.”

"Huh..? O-Okay.." Well, that was a sudden change, and enough of one to bring down Jude's chipper mood to one more serious. As instructed, the young researcher took a seat upon the small leather couch, looking up at his lover with an eagerness.

"Hey, whatever it is, we'll work through it, okay? What's the news?" He asked, his brow creating a little furrow of concern at the bridge of his nose --he hadn't really seen Ludger like this when it was just the two of them before.

This was a good idea. This was, most definitely, an amazing idea, or so the intoxicated agent thought. This thought process lead Ludger to hitting the first number on speed-dial on his GHS, and proceeding to drunkenly sing - or rather, bellow - 'Hey Jude' into it as soon as the medic picked up. Unfortunately for Jude, Ludger was not what one would call a good singer.

And… as if he hadn’t heard that one before. The only difference being he had to hold his GHS away from his ear to stop the slurred song deafening him. Balan was finding the whole situation far more amusing than Jude was.. he was never going to live this down, was he?

"L- Hey, Ludger? That’s lovely, but where are you right now? Do I have to call Alvin to come pick you up?"

"I’m in Film N-Noir! I don’t need anyone to come pick me up… unlessss it’s you! Now! Let me finnisssh my song!" Not waiting for any protests - and pointedly ignoring the glares the bartender was giving him - Ludger cleared his throat and continued his ‘singing’.

“Heeeeey Jude!~ You’re so darn cuuute!~  You take a bad day and make it betterrr!~ Remember to let yourself into my flat!~ And we can start to make tonight betterrrr!~" 

This was followed by the typical chant, cut off by a loud thump as the agent fell off his chair.

And Jude would turn down the volume on his GHS, leveling the sniggering Balan with an exasperated, yet embarrassed look before turning away from him in his chair. Clearly, his efforts weren't enough, seeing as the older researcher practically cackled by the end of the interesting rendition of the song.

"Lud- Ludger? Are you okay?" He had deduced what that thump had meant, and the young medic was already standing to his feet, silently apologizing to Balan before running out the door and to the elevator.

"J-Just stay where you are, okay? I'm getting a train to you and taking you home."

It was, presumably, for the betterment of their conversation to further itself if their dual-tinctured haired companion were not within their vicinity. Their were a plethora of matters to address and differing from Alvin’s rationale, the ever empathetic researcher could not toil along with the magic words of ‘the dimension is going to go poof anyway' in mind. At the very least — if ignorance were preferred not to be bliss — then his tongue would gladly take on the responsibility to do what was to be done. ”I agree. We should probably find a quieter spot. How about the harbor? We should be able to find a spot where no one is at.” Fingers grasped around the circumference of his wrist  out of substandard habit as foot shifted slightly to bolster his weight.

Offering an affirming nod of his head, Jude feet began carrying him to their destination. He was silent, his tongue held stagnant in his mouth despite the plethora of questions he had burning to ask his double. He stilled them though, at least through the busy streets of the commercial district, his head ducked to avoid drawing attention. He drew enough of that by himself, yet having another one of him at his side was bound to start some form of commotion. One he could do without right now. The harbour, as anticipated, was far quieter --only one or two people and the odd merchant around to mind their own business. "So.. I guess it doesn't take a genius to realise what's going on here.. One of us is a fracture, and considering me and Ludger didn't enter a new dimension, I'll be placing all bets on it being me.." His features grimaced a moment, yet he remained rational. "And that means you're here to destroy this world." He concluded, his eyes steely against his conterpart's.

It was quiet that evening as Elle wandered into Jude's office. True, she was meant to have been staying with Leia that night, but her bubbly attitude wasn't what the young girl needed right now. Best to make her presence known, "Hey, Jude?" She glanced up to the researcher, and it was clear she had been crying on her way to find him, "Can I... " What did she want? A hug? Someone to talk to? She wasn't quite sure, but for some reason, she felt Jude would understand," ... I miss Ludger."

"So.. different spirit voices react at different frequencies..." The researcher mumbled allowed, the notes that Balan had left for him scattered about the table as nimble fingers composed a new device, one to detect the spirit voices. Engineering seemed to be closely coinciding with his job as of late --good thing he was pretty delicate with his hands when he needed to be.Soldering each wire to the motherboard, a young, quiet voice that didn't really belong in his lab made the researcher jump, a slight hiss of pain escaping him as he burned himself on the iron. Jude looked over his shoulder to see the little girl standing so lost in the middle of the room. Immediately, the medic placed down his equipment and came to crouch affront her.

"Hey.. We all miss him, Elle.." Jude swallowed thickly --he had been purposefully wrapping himself in far too much work to try and avoid thinking abut it --yet somehow it didn't help. "You.. understand why he did what he did, right? It's because he chose you.. Because you're the real Elle in your own right. Not a fake, or a fracture." And he would make himself smile, placing a hand over the pocketwatch that hung around her neck.

"He's always here protecting you, okay? So we've all got to be strong and make him proud. We need to make the world he sacrificed himself for.."

"I'm not sure that's something that spirit artes can fix... H-Here, lemme try this.."

"Well, Ludger and I have only... done anything whilst he was... whilst he was drunk." And the young researcher scratched at the back of his head, an embarrassed exasperation on his features. "So uh... sloppy's the wrong word, but... well... usually it's a little.. awkward. But it's cute, in it's own way.""And as for Alvin, well, it's... pretty different from Ludger. Kinda the other end of the scale. He knows what he's doing and he definitely knows how to d-drive you nuts..." Yes there were beads of sweat forming on his brow as he wrung at the nape of his neck a little tighter."T-They're both pretty assertive though, I guess. They're not completely different..."

"Wh--?! Well..... I-I don't think I should-" Yes, the renowned Doctor Mathis was flustering and tripping over his words like a schoolboy. Still, he closed his eyes a moment to take a deep breath.

"Well... m-maybe being tied up or restrained or something and... Both Alvin and Ludger would be..." And the young medic cleared his throat loudly. "...right in front of me, really slow and intimate and I wouldn't be able to do a thing until the last minute when they'd untie me and we'd all.." And he would clear his throat again before looking down, avidly trying to shield his blush.

"Alvin..? Hm.. Well it's not so much the physical features as much as his personality. Sure he's still got that roguish thing he's so proud of, but in the last year he's matured a lot, and I admire the way he wants to change for the better. Though I do have to say, I.. kinda like the new beard, as well.."
