WHY BRAZIL DESERVES TO BE INCLUDED IN TAYLOR SWIFT’S WORLD TOURS: A LOVE STORY
1) Brazilian fans are willing to do everything for Taylor, and they have consistently shown that by traveling to other countries to see her in concert since the beginning of her career. I personally met 40+ Brazilians at #repTourMiami alone, and many of them told me that was the first time they were able to afford flying to a different country just for Taylor. (The pictures below are from Brazilian fans who attended #repTourMiami, #repTourTampa, and #repTourDublin)
2) The “Red” album became gold certified within a week in Brazil and “1989” became gold certified on its first day of release in the country. Brazilian fans are absolutely obsessed with Taylor’s music and have always supported the queen!
3) “Look What You Made Me Do” quickly sold 160,000 units in Brazil, a lot more than in other countries like New Zealand, for example. Despite the population difference and the fact that both countries deserve to see Taylor, New Zealand got tour dates for almost every tour, while Brazil got none. Ever. (We’re very happy for New Zealand by the way! ❤️🇳🇿❤️)
4) Taylor said she was blown away by how well the Brazilian fans knew the lyrics to her songs despite the language barrier, and how passionate, loud, and wild they were during her single VIP concert in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. When asked about the possibility of taking the Red Tour to Brazil back then, Taylor herself said, “if fans are that passionate and that amazing, you have to listen to that. You have to go there!” We couldn’t agree more, Taylor!
5) I have no doubt in my mind that Taylor absolutely adores her Brazilian fans. I know there are reasons why it’s been difficult for her to bring the tours to Brazil, but the fact that 98% or more of her fans there have only experienced her concerts through low quality videos on a computer screen for over a decade now should speak louder than all those issues - whatever they are. Remember the lyrics “And what do you do when the one who means the most to you is the one who didn’t show?” Well… Brazilian fans can relate to that for the fifth time now that the rep Tour is almost over.
In conclusion, I would like to say that I feel extremely privileged and grateful for having been able to see the queen of my heart live after a long wait of 10 years. It is my prayer and hope that Taylor will see how much we truly love her and how badly we need her in our country. BRAZIL LOVES YOU, @taylorswift! We look forward to seeing you in our country soon!
Taylor, just say “yes!” 🇧🇷✨
