“oh, well– uh,” harlow stammered, quickly pressing the power button to turn the screen black, “nothing yet. i was trying to pick something out with no avail.” waving her hand in air to disperse the cloud of smoke, she her focus to his face, studying him with furrowed brows, “i thought santa had a beard. you definitely don’t have a beard. so,” she paused, crossing her arms over her chest, “somebody’s not telling the truth.”
he rolled his eyes when she caught him in his obvious fib, flicking the cigarette away to sink his hands into his pockets. “yep, y’got me. i ain’t santa claus.” he responded, letting out a quiet laugh. “well, if y’ain’t doin’ nothin’ otherwise, i was about t’grab a coffee. could use a lil’ company.”
