Nova smiled in response to the other’s obvious passion for dance. It was something she could relate to, even though her passion was quite different. “I could kinda tell, honestly, but it’s good to have something you love that much. It’s nice to have that one thing that makes you really happy, you know?” Cheesy, she was aware, but true nonetheless. “That’s… wow. It must take a lot of patience to teach ballet. I can’t even imagine. Tap is something I never learned, honestly, but… I wouldn’t mind taking a whack at it. Someday. Maybe.” She chuckled. 

“oh definitely, i honestly don’t know where i’d be without it.” dance had practically saved her growing up, given how often she was neglected by her parents, it was what she focused on. “it does, thankfully its only a beginners class since most of my focus for my own dances is hip hop and contemporary. hey, its always good to try something new, maybe you’ll be great at it.”

“ –– AHHH! What gave me away, huh? The charming accent?” Dylan spoke and chuckled softly, but nodded his head as part of a response to what she had asked him. “Yeah, I’m– I’m from London. I moved to New York a couple of years ago to attend school, then I moved here a couple of weeks ago,” he said and nodded, smiling softly at her. “I guess I fell in love with the US along the way, because I didn’t leave when I got hurt, so…” That was something his parents had wanted him to do though. Go back to London after he had been attacked but he didn’t want to leave because he had a tiny hope he would be able to get back into his music again at one point.

bexley smiled, “it may have been the accent, though i’ll admit that sometimes i struggle to tell british and scottish accents apart.” she shrugged, but nodded her head as he spoke. “well... treeville does tend to have a nice sense of a safe little town.”

“soo i found this little guy and completely fell in love with him, so guess who now has officially adopted one of the cutest puppies ever?”

Eddie was leaning against his car as he ate his lunch outside of the house he was working on with the construction company he worked for. As someone walked by, he grinned and thought it would be funny to do a cat call and wink at them as a classic construction worker stereotype. So, he whistled and nodded his head before winking as the person looked at him.

bexley had one earbud in as she moved down the street, music blasting through it from the songs she had picked for a certain playlist. her own dance playlist, the ones she chose to choreograph things too. she wasn’t so much as walking, as stepping through moves as she walked, not even caring for how she looked to the public. she didn’t even know what had stopped her at first, until she looked at the boy who was winking at her. “di you-- wait, eddie?”

“ –– Yeah? And how’s that going? Have you thought out any sick choreographs?” Adelaide asked and wiggled her eyebrows at Bexley as they sat next to one another. 

bexley laughed, sticking her tongue out at her blonde friend, “oh you know me, i’m always coming up with something to try and make work.”

“the truth hurts!” beck grinned, shaking his head. “yeah, but they also love drummers..in bands.. which i am.” 

“so imagine how much they’d love you if you could be a drummer and dance as well?” bex led, raising her brows at him.

“That would be great, thank you.” Dylan smiled softly and nodded his head at what the dark-haired female had suggested. It meant a lot to him, probably more than she thought. It meant that he wouldn’t have to walk for too long, which was definitely a plus in his books. His legs were okay, but walking for a longer period, it definitely would hurt. “Only if you’re going in the same direction though, I wouldn’t want you to have to drive more than you need to!” Dylan said and nodded, giving the dark-haired a soft and gentle smile.  

bexley smiled softly, nodding her head in one direction before she began to walk that way. “no it’s fine, i don’t mind helping you out.” she told him, adjusting her bag on her shoulder. “so you’re from england right?”

beck’s mouth gaped open, a small smile even with the shock. “you just called me a wet noodle! i was joking and you said i look like one.” he laughed, shaking his head. “rude. now i don’t want dance lessons from you.” he chuckled before ordering a drink for the two of them.

bexley laughed, shaking her head. “you can’t joke about the truth beck! i have seen worse though.” she pointed out, grinning at him. “alright, but girls do love a good dancer.”

“I can kind of tell, you have a serious amount of talent,” she complimented the young woman, offering up a small smile. “Last I checked, talent like yours doesn’t happen overnight. I mean, for some, it probably could, but dancing takes a lot of work and you’ve clearly worked your ass off.” Nova took another large gulp of her water before shoving it back in her bag. “That’s actually pretty sweet, sounds like you got it made. What genres of dance do you teach?” 

bexley ducked her head with a smile, always acting bashful when someone complimented her talent. it was the one thing she had had since she was a kid, the biggest thing she could count on when her parents abandoned her constantly. “i definitely have. it’s my one and only passion.” she tucked some hair behind her ear as she shrugged slightly. “i teach a couple tap classes, as well as one ballet class and a contemporary class.”

    Tony exited the coffee shop with two portable cups, one in each hand. Their hues, wandering around the street for a few seconds, looking for a familiar face before taking a deep, tired breath. After an over twelve hours shift, all the nurse wanted was to go back home and sleep for a bit before starting another day. However their plans were foiled by an old friend asking to meet and talk over a cup of coffee, and now they had decided to run away in what Tony hoped wasn’t to escape a crime, leaving the nurse with a conundrum.

    “Shit” they whispered under their breath before turning around, thrusting one of the cups towards the nearest person they could see “Hey. Do you want free coffee? It’s clean” they promised, rolling their eyes at themselves. Only they could make free coffee sound poisonous. “I bought it for my friend, but he disappear and I sure as hell am not chasing after him just to give him a cup of coffee, it seems like a waste to throw it away, so—” the brunette explained, looking at the other with a tired smile “It’s black, if that helps.”

bexley’s attention had been on her phone, typing out a message to a friend about plans later on that night when suddenly a coffee cup was thrust into her view. her eyes trailed from the cup to the hand holding it and all the way up to the person offering it. “uh-- as nice as that is, i don’t drink black coffee.”

“okay, maybe playing on my office chair wasn’t a good idea. i’m dizzy now and my head hurts. what’s so bad about spinning in a chair? i just don’t get it.”

“uhh-- the dizziness and the headache? you kind of answered your own question.”

We haven’t. Things have been crazy busy, I’m sorry I haven’t been around. Adelaide shrugged her shoulders and felt bad that she was apologizing. “Don’t apologize, Bex. Honestly, I get it. Things have been crazy lately, like you said, so I totally get it,” she said and smiled softly at the dark-haired female, bumping his shoulder against hers. “What have you been up to lately? Fill me in.”  

bexley smiled and flipped her hair over her shoulder, “this is true, but i do always make time for you.” she lent on one open palm which pressed into the blanket as she looked at the blonde. “well not much, just choreographing a few new routines and figuring out classes for kids.”

Without another word, Chris slid the menu across the table. He knew with Bex a little push would be the only way she’d agree. The only way she’d let him help. “Sorry, I really have no idea what you’re talking about.”

bexley worried her lip between her teeth before slowly taking the menu and reading through it. “since you’re not giving me a choice.. i guess i’ll have some waffles. is that acceptable enough?”

I was trying to sort out a few classes for the next few weeks. “And putting yourself in danger too, I see,” Adelaide spoke and grinned gently at the dark-haired beauty standing in front of her. “Wanna sit down for a bit? Do you think you can spare me five minutes and catch up a little bit?” she asked and tilted her head a little to the side as her eyes were locked with Bexley’s. “I feel like we haven’t talked in forever…” 

“you know me, i can’t focus on more than one thing at a time.” bexley replied, crinkling her nose a bit. “i can definitely do that,” the girl spoke as she settled herself down on the blanket beside the blonde. “we haven’t.. things have been crazy busy, i’m sorry i haven’t been around.”

Smiling softly at the words coming from the dark-haired girl, Dylan nodded slowly as she said she didn’t mind it and that she didn’t have anywhere else to be. Did you need to get somewhere? “Uh, I’m just going home, actually,” Dylan spoke and smiled softly at the dark-haired female who stood in next to him. “Apparently my last train just left the station, so, I’m not sure how yet but I’ll figure it out,” he said and chuckled softly.

bexley nodded, letting out a hum as if in thought, “well my car is parked here, i could give you a ride if you like?” she’d driven to the station, just to take the train the rest of the way. she didn’t really want the crowds that came from the train but they were better than being alone in her car for the drive.
